I worked here (Piscataway) a couple of summers when in school many years ago. The place was like walking back in time a hundred years - boiling asphalt spewing everywhere, using your back to unload railcars of what they called gilsonite instead of the broken (always) forklift. The characters that worked there full time, all absolute sad sack townies. 3 stars for entertainment value! Glad I didn't get injured or end up there as a career. The workers always brought up the guy tat fell into the boiling asphalt to scare us college kids. True or not I don't know. This place, at that time anyway, was a disaster waiting to happen. Safety always took a back seat to output. I only hope, for the sake of the poor underpaid worker bees, this operation has moved forward at least into the 20th century.
