They didn't want to cut the hair of my dog because he has mats. he had 3 mats! They supposed to take out the mats that's why we pay them.I went to another groom and she did everything with no complaints because it was 3 mats! Worse service ever

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO GET GROOMED HERE!! If I could give this place zero stars I WOULD. Today my mother took our dog to get groomed, not only did she spend 4 hrs there since it was her first time bringing him here she felt uneasy leaving him. They did a HORRIBLE job, they left him unevenly cut and on top of that cut his lashes off, ANY experienced groomer knows not to do this!! My poor baby left shaking & anxious. Not worth $90 WHAT SO EVER !!! Look at his legs!! Never coming back.

Grooming manager dog shamed regarding Doodle's curls/mats. When I brought it to her attention, she got upset, got the store manager and refused to groom my dog. (They requested I change to Sunday @ 9 am. We compromised for Sunday 8 am.)She flipped it that I talked to her the wrong way when I simply pointed out my perspective. Even when I asked her to groom the dog because of getting up early to bring the dog, she refused. I'm sorry she didn't like hearing what I wanted to say, but she got to say what she wanted. SMHShe said she wasn't comfortable. I found her unprofessional. (When I asked her name, she got real sassy and told me that she was the Grooming Manager.) Although I called back to apologize for upsetting her Morning, I canceled my other dog's appointment for 5/8/2023. Hurt feelings shouldn't result in canceled services. I've also called Corporate Petco.

Petco is not reliable and has closed some of their grooming facilities. Had an appointment for my dog on Tuesday and received a call Tuesday morning that groomer had emergency. Understandable, so re-scheduled for Friday, but when the same thing happened again on Friday, I asked if there was not some other groomer who could do my dog but was told they were all booked. Guess no priority is given to dogs already "bumped". Don't waste your time...find a local groomer who cares about their customers!

Came here for grooming and they had availability same day I called, for both my dogs. Quick and easy process. Dropped them off at 1:30pm picked them up at 3:45pm and they are as happy as ever and smell even better! No complaints for this simple bath, nail cut and teeth brushing. Tena and Jaimie were the groomers who bathed them. would definitely come back to them!

I had an appointment for my Benji at 8am, I dropped him off at 8am I chose the cut and add on. I told the young lady I had an appointment at 1pm will he be done she said it takes 3-4 hours so yes. At 1157 I didn't receive a call so I went to the store the man at the desk told me he wasn't done I asked why he had been there since 8am and it was now 1215pm. I told the man I asked if he would be done and he should've been I needed my dog back. I paid and left his face hadn't been done and the cut was uneven, he did smell good but for the money I paid wasn't worth just smelling good!!!

I'm giving it a two because it was only two hours and my baby's fur was clean but now I see why. I'm so upset I wasn't the one dropping my baby off because I would have turned around and rescheduled my appointment. This young lady though is nice is a terrible groomer. She butchered my baby the first time she groomed her and I said I never wanted her to groom her again. My husband not knowing this was that same young lady even made it easy for her. Just cut the hair away from her eyes and clean the hygiene area. I'm glad this was her free grooming through vital care or I would have bust a gasket.

The groomers were nice.However what I will comment on is the sales associate on the floor. I went up to one woman today, shoulder length , balayage hair with glasses who was unpacking stock. I went up to her with a question and she almost seemed like she was annoyed that I even asked (I simply asked where she could direct me to grooming). "What?" And "gotta go over to grooming" were the only words spoken from this woman.Though I know this is not a hospitality service, but they could at least show a bit more of respect when responding to customers.

The staff is very friendly and helpful there . I would totally go back at anytime , but they need to hire more people to work the registers . I waited in line for 15 minutes because there was only one cashier and a bunch of people in line. Management needs to step up and hire some more people to work here .

If I could give 0 stars I would. Literally was sick to my stomach when I poked up my dog Milo from grooming. 1. Had an issue when my sister dropped him of because apparently someone from FL called and switched my appointment (so they say. Made no sense whatsoever) 2. The grooming manager Janet took note on what I asked for but gave my baby boy to a new girl named Monica who completely messed up my dogs fur. She gave him the worst haircut I have ever seen talking about it was layers? Like what this is human hair you give layers too. It was disgusting. I told her to fix it by shaving him down which I didn't want to do because it's winter but I had no choice. They completely messed up on the way I wanted to have his tail cut. This made me want to cry it was the worst. It was unfixable. I hear Janet yell at Monica saying how she should of read the paper where they put the instructions but if you're the manager training someone she should of been monitoring them. Such a disgrace. Such a horrible job. I'm never coming to this Petco ever. I just moved from NY to NJ 3 months ago and needed a grooming place. THIS IS NOT IT. People beware if you love your dog and want them to look beautiful, don't go here. They will mess it all up. Luckily the general manager listened to my complaint and refunded me entirely. They didn't deserve the money nor the tip. On top of them even getting nasty with me at the end because they saw I complained. Monica didn't even pass me my dog at the end, she threw him on the ground and he ran to me. Horrible horrible service!!!

Late post but decided to share the result of taking my puppy to Petco for a grooming service where I splurged on add on services, like a mud bath. Got a phone call an hour or so into the service asking me to come pick her up an hour into the service because she was bleeding and broke her teeth. Resulted in needing to get teeth pulled.

When appointment was made and ACCEPTED, I had to provide my dog's age. After leaving work early to arrive at my appointment, I was told that they won't groom a 16 year-old dog. Why did they accept the appointment and waste my time? Given all of the other problems with Petco (e.g. dirty, disorganized, expensive), I'll never go there again.

If I could give them less of a rating I would. Set up an appointment for grooming a few days prior and took my dog there on time on the day of the appointment. Was told it would take a few hours. We had the wrong number on the sheet so I made sure they took a note of the correct number. So I did a bit of shopping for my pets and came back every so often to make sure she was okay. Then I decided to go to Lowe's while this was happening because they said they would call me, I came out of Lowe's and all three groomers were sitting outside eating lunch, not doing any sort of job or even staying near the grooming area. I get it, you need a break, but you need to make sure someone stays back with the pets to make sure they are okay. As it can be a very stressful experience for some. Went back in the store and watched a few training sessions, then the grooming manager, Janice, begins banging on the window trying to get my attention. So I go back into the grooming center and she asks which dog is mine, so I tell her, and she goes "oh, I've been trying to call you, your dog is ready". She says that she needs to just do the nail trimming on my dog and meanwhile tells me to go wait at the front of the store with the cashier (to pay). She comes out a bit later and tells me that she is going to take off all the charges and not have me pay. I thought this was very odd, but was like okay. She then comes out with my shaking dog who is soaking wet and says that she "expressed her glands and that she must've scared her". Also very odd, as that was supposed to be something that they do in the service that I had made the appointment for (nail, bath, teeth, expression of glands). The dogs nails were not done nor were the teeth brush, there was no sign that they did anything. Very very disappointed that they lied to say she was done and did absolutely nothing.
