WARNING! Optimum is the absolute worst cable provider there is. Their technicians provide ZERO help and their in store employees are about as useless as you can be. The saddest thing is that this review will do absolutely nothing to resolve my issues. Optimum is stealing your money but because they have an agreement as the only cable provider in certain areas, many of us are stuck with their abismal service. I have never met such an abundance of incompetent and careless people in my life. It should not take 12 and counting service appointments numerous hours on the phone with "customer support" that can't do anything but waste my time to still ruin my internet and cable services.

Very bad service. I have been disconnected with the service & ask for bill reimburse. Team member said you have to pay whole month bill ,even I used only 1 week. He gave me billing department number instead of checking with them.

I went for a new modem to the Piscataway location, the clerk told me I could self install once I got home. This Information was wrong, I tried getting help over the phone for 2 hours, and for 2 hours I spoke with 4 different people from overseas who can barely speak English and have no idea what they are doing, I tried chatting then I found out the clerk pretty much disable my service and scheduled me for a change 5 days ahead, now I am on hold for another 30 minutes, Your customer service is the worst and no wonder Verizon is picking up more customers.

The worst customer service in the world. I’m a new customer and they’ve sent out the wrong technician for a NEW install three times now. Customer service is very ill-mannered and not helpful whatsoever. I’ve asked to speak to a supervisor or manager every time I’ve been on the phone with them and they can’t get it right which is difficult to understand. Not rescheduling with them and going with a different provider. be aware that they’ll schedule you for whatever service they feel like and continue to reschedule you for ANYTHING just to waste your time. They also work with third parties and will send out a contracted employee to your home who won’t identify themselves to you, won’t answer your concerns and won’t explain a thing. When you ask for a supervisor they’ll send you to the verification team who also tells you they can’t do anything and tell you to call customer service. Worst experience ever I’ve never dealt with such an unorganized company do not choose optimum!!

The website says open on Sundays until 5:00pm. When got to the store there is a sign saying closed on Sundays!! This is unacceptable!!

I have been an optimum customer fir 19 years. My router does not have wireless capabilities I tried to have one sent that has that. 3 separate times nothing sent. I go Into the store to get a new wireless router A saleswoman tells me to lower my bill switch to fiber. I agree on a Friday and set up the appointment for Tuesday. Tuesday comes and the installer said that no fiber was run from the pole to the house He leaves. I call optimum they say that on Monday someone did that. I have now lost a days pay at work. I have nothing changed no wireless not internet no cable. This company sucks so bad that they would be out of business if they had any competition from anyone. All in I’m a day and half of lost wages about 12-15 hours on the phone where no one understands anything and I was given a $20 credit for my inconvenience. Shame on you optimum. You suck

After waiting on the phone for 60 minutes waiting to speak with a human for them to tell me to unplug and plug it back in. I’ve tried that for the LAST 24 HOURS!! This is by far the worst service I’ve ever experienced for networking and CANNOT wait for my chance to use anything other than Optimum. Save yourself the trouble and just use dialup, you’ll probably have better luck.

If this was an Optimum review, the rating would be as low as allowed. This is related to the staff and not the miserable Optimum.The staff working the equipment returns center located in Piscataway are great. Easy going, friendly, and knowledgeable.
