“Kat and Cory in the maintenance dept are great! Anytime I have an issue they come fast to fix it! No matter what the problem is they always know the solution on how to fix it. They are trustworthy, friendly and care about the tenants. If they ever change jobs we will have to move, can’t imagine living here without having them here !”

“This review is long overdue. To cut a long story short, this is most likely the best apartment building I've ever lived in, regardless of whether it's on the east or west coast. Aside from the beauty and amenities of the place, of course, the staff is the most critical aspect of any apartment or condo building, and this is where Spring Garden really shines. I've already mentioned the maintenance worker. Diana is really good at what she does, and I could say that the owners manage this company effectively and efficiently.”

“Lived here for a month now. Maintenance requests are fast and efficient. GREAT amenities. Office is responsive quickly with any questions you may have. Not being originally from this area it is sure nice to have somewhere so nice to call home. Patio is my favorite.”

“Quiet community, nice decent people. Pool, playground, nice big dog park. Can leave stuff in my truck and leave unlocked and not be worried, clean property they take care of. The central air works great. The inside of the apartment is nice, not perfect, im sure I can call and get the few things that aren’t perfect fixed, just haven’t had the time. The only thing we are not super happy about even tho they are clean and nice are the rugs through the house. Would rather wood flooring.”

“So far I have been living here for 2 months and can say Im very happy we chose Chadwick Village Apartments vs others around the area. Though it is more expensive, the area is quiet, the walls are thick so you rarely hear others in general, maintenance has been quick to help (which has only been two things that weren't vital issues), and being able to pay your bills through an app has made payments very easy to send. They also aren't kidding about having a very large space for an apartment (check out the virtual tour!) Finally, contacting the management office is no hassle at all (most times i leave a message with my question/situation and get a call back within the hour).I haven't been here long but I don't regret my decision in the slightest. If you can afford this place, I would highly recommend it for a relaxing cozy home.Update: it's been 8 months and everything has still been great ??”

“My girlfriend and I have lived here for the past year with relatively no issues. Any issues we've had shouldn't impact anyone's decision to move in. They also made moving in very easy given I was out of state. Not crazy about the price hike, which is our reason for moving out, but this is a business and they are charging what people are willing to pay. Can't get mad about that. T”

“I found Laurel Hill by accident while looking for an apartment in 1976. I was so taken by the place, I signed a rental agreement on the spot, and looking back, I'm not even sure I checked out the apartment I was renting. The way I remember it, the rent was around $200/mo., maybe less, with heat and hot water included. When I finally moved out in 1984, the rent was $247/mo.Bill Ozmanski was the Maintenance man and his Mother rented the apartments. Bill was so cool. He had built an area where he kept and cared for many different animals. A lot of birds, if I remember correctly. He also had deer. It was not uncommon to come home at night to find a peacock sitting on the railing outside your door.If you couldn't afford a rent increase Bill would skip it for that year. Same with the pool. The pool was an extra fee, but Bill would look the other way if you hadn't paid for the use of the pool.Since I was in my early 20's when I lived there, I'm sure I am looking at my experiences through rose colored glasses, but in a way, I wish I could go back to that time and maybe spend a week or two in my old apartment. As a final note, yes there was some downside to living inside a hill. The biggest downside was the entrance. If you have lived there in the winter, you are taking your life in your hands driving up or down the entrance driveway. I had my car towed one time because I couldn't get up the driveway, and had to park on the shoulder of Chews Landing Rd.By the time I moved from there, Laurel Hill had been sold to a company that owned a lot of the apartment complexes in the area. Needless to say, I did not get my deposit back. That was also the case with our neighbors who were also long term renters. Regardless, I have mostly fond memories of my time there, and am glad to see it's still going strong after all these years.”

“Had a 1bd breakfast bar w/ balcony.. After a couple years living at the village there’s definitely some pros and cons. I personally never had an issue with anyone in the leasing office except when I complained about a bee infestation outside my apartment and felt they didn’t take my request as serious as it was. Overall, everyone is nice and helpful every time I called. I did reach out 2 weeks after I moved out just to inquire about final inspection and Ms. Treminio literally got back to me within 15 minutes. Super nice and understanding. Pros: Super safe neighborhood SO CONVENIENT! Everything is either down the street or walking distance. Maintenance fast and super nice. I always had long conversations with one of them. I think Tim! Super nice and Super personable! Apartment itself was decent for what the rent was AT FIRST. Everything in my unit was brand new so no complaints. Never had mice or bugs! Grass is literally cut every single week so grounds are well kept. I felt peaceful in my apartment. They do TRY to make living better but, not always in the right way. They gave us new balconies but i would have preferred hardwood flooring or something. They gave us a package room but the community is super safe and packages don’t really do missing so i would have preferred upgraded appliances or something for the price of rent. They provided bikes that we have to pay for but, never seen anyone ride them so I just think the money could have went to upgrades within the apartment. Overall great community and complex!Cons: Rent started off reasonable however, increased 110 first year, and 105 second. Went from 1255 to 1470 utilities are not included so add an Additional 100-150, which is why I had to move. It made more sense to pay that amount of money for a bigger and better unit. Personally, I know it’s not the leasing office per se raising the rent, so I don’t want them to feel attacked however, I think First Montgomery Group management as a company is very money hungry. While the apartment units are decent they are not luxury and therefore not worth the price of a mortgage. They are SUPER SMALL! No hardwood floors in any unit as they don’t offer upgraded units. Their upgrades are considered stainless steel appliances that’s it.. In a standard you get white appliances, carpet throughout, no lighting. Only lighting in dining, kitchen and bathroom, the hot water heater is out in the open (very ghetto to me, i covered mine lol again rent so high and my hot water heater just chillen out in the open), closet is very small, Not really walk in more like take a step and stand in lol, walls are thin. In addition started off as a dog free building. A year later the whole community is now dog friendly which can be very frustrating when you constantly hear barking and thumping. Also one last con they allow you to smoke in your units as well so if you live in the middle of smokers GOOD LUCK you’ll smell it in your unit! I did complain and maintenance came to seal a hole. It worked a little but i still smelled it. Maintenance was great! All in all, I just don’t think rent should have increased no more than 20-50 bucks a year for current tenants. Charge new tenants the market pricing. But apparently this is going on everywhere. So i say this to say, only takes one apartment complex to make a difference. Overall, back when the rent was reasonable, I’d recommend this community but, honestly if your going to spend 1500-1600 on apartment living, I would suggest researching all of your options FIRST because you could definitely get a bigger unit with upgrades for your money. Paying this much for these basic units is a bit unreasonable in my opinion. Again, this is a nice community and the apartments are decent i just don’t think they are worth 1600 dollars that’s all. The best thing about living there was the convenience of things. Hope this review helps!”

“Lived here for 6 years while worked at Rowan. My apartment was decent, clean, no mold, no roaches. Deliveries were never stolen. The area is nice, management is good. Really sad that I have to leave. The only complaint is an ancient a/c unit that I couldn't change because it was not broken. It consumed electricity like crazy.”

“I just moved in a little over a month a go and I love it here. I have the studio and I was shocked by the amount of room in the studio. I have a huge storage closet and 2 other closets. I was also pleasantly surprised that there is a hallway which goes to the bathroom, I wasn't sure where the bathroom would be located since it is a studio. When I first moved in I noticed that they put new carpet in here. The carpet also has padding underneath so it is incredibly soft. Tge maintenance keep the grounds very clean and I have met a lot of very nice welcoming neighbors. I definitely recommend it here. The staff at the office are also extremely nice and very helpful.”

“I have been living here for 2 and a half years. It is the best decision I have made. The property is well kept, I don't have a problem with maintenance or management. I even assisted someone to move here and they love it as well. It has schools in the area and an array of mini malls and pharmacies. Check it out and when you fill out an application, tell them I sent you!❤️”

“We've had a great experience living here. The apartment I'm in is one of the most spacious I've seen in this price range. The office is full of friendly and helpful staff, and maintenance is quick to take care of any problems that arise. The residents too are also friendly. It's a nice community of people.”

“Rent is good, due to covid I put my extra money into Apt with all the fixtures, heat/air registers replaced. Paint, patch. Not waiting on maintenance (they are good prob stretched thin).Did all repairs myself. Need new fridge guess I'll end up buying that as well. They fixed toilet so many times they could have replaced with a new one (poor Rhonda downstairs). Also expanded the kitchen counter top, and ceramic tiled it.Whoever eventually gets this apt. They are getting what will probably be the future sales display model. No theft, lots police presence, action always at arborwood.”
