I explained the issues with my previous shoes, and Axel provided solutions by scanning my feet to determine the best fit. The results were impressive. “There are a lot to choose from. It took me a long time to decide what I wanted. Mostly because there are so many choices. The store seems well organized. The shoes on display had the boxes of different sizes right under them. I was surprised they didn't get all shuffled up. They had my size for almost every type of shoe. My size is 10 or 10 and 1/2. I ended up buying two pairs because there were different kinds I wanted. One was a moccasin and the other was a Slip-On walking shoe. They had a sale to get the second one at 50% off. Plus I signed up for a free membership and got 10% off.”

“We came here for my daughter’s first pair of shoes. The staff was super friendly and eager to help from the moment we walked in. Joanna is absolutely amazing. She is friendly, patient, knowledgeable and really took the time to assist us. She measured my daughter’s foot, helped us get her shoes on (which can be a challenge with a 14 month old), and gave us advice on which shoes we should get/why some pairs may be better than others. You can tell that she truly cares. My daughter has not wanted to stop walking since her new comfortable shoes!!! So happy! We are truly thankful for the experience that Joanna provided and we will certainly be coming back for future pairs! Thank you so much, Joanna.”
“I had never heard of this company but they had an area rug listed that is discontinued and it was to be a replacement to the one I used to own. I was skeptical of a shoe company I have never heard of selling an area rug but I took the chance. This morning I recoeved a call from a gentleman asking to confirm my address that I had typed incorrectly. He alerted to the problem and acted to immediately reach out and solve it. “Raphael can make any tired or worn leather goods look new again. He does so much more than repairs as he’s a leather craftsman from bygone days. He makes footwear for professional football and basketball athletes who need their footwear custom made and does footwear for the ballet. If selecting from many exotic skins or designer fabrics to make belts, footwear including customizing sneakers, handbags, briefcases, small leather goods, caps, watch bands and any leather goods or copying a design from a picture Raphael can create it at a more reasonable price than if purchased retail. Many items made by Raphael and his staff are available in the store. He is one of a kind today. No further recommendation necessary as this review says it all about the Raphael and the Leather Shop South Orange. I’ve been a VERY happy customer for 20+ years.”
