Owning a Steinway was a lifelong dream for me. When my husband decided it was time to fulfill that dream, we were a little overwhelmed in our search. Initially, nothing was a good fit and the logistics of finding the perfect piano from our small town in Indiana were daunting. We happened upon Lindeblad in an internet search and suddenly everything seemed possible! We were immediately impressed with their piano stock, 30-day money back guarantee and their free shipping. Once we called them, things started happening at lightning speed. Todd was very understanding of our desires, and he made the process so easy. We were able to meet with Bobby, the head technician, to discuss touch and the technical requirements of the piano. Dealing with Matt about the shipping and delivery was stress free. Jay, who delivered our piano, was calm, unruffled, and moved the piano with an ease I’ve never before seen. In short, the entire process was seamless. They truly care about their customers, have fantastic products, and their professionalism and attention to details were spot on. I would, and have already, recommend Lindeblad for anybody’s piano needs!

I'm delighted with my Steinway from Lindeblad, it's beautifully rich and full, especially in the bass notes. The satin finish was carefully done to perfection, and the sound just has to be experienced. Lindeblad provides the finest service from every department that touches their magnificent pianos. Would fully recommend this fine company.

I would highly recommend Lindeblad piano restorers. We had Lindeblad restore our circa 1902 Haddorff piano and they exceeded our expectations at every turn. Lindeblad worked hard to complete the restoration sooner than expected and delivered the piano on time for Christmas!!! The piano was in rough shape inside and out, so when Lindeblad’s team of professional piano movers delivered the restored piano back to our home it was unrecognizable. It looked and sounded like a brand new piano. Lindeblad gets five stars!!!

Had a great experience with everyone at Lindeblad. There is no doubt I would only consider them if going through the process again. They were not only very relational but delivered my piano in the time frame that was discussed even though I was 1000 miles away. Unbelievable transformation. I feel as I have a brand new 1921 Steinway that can stay in my family for generations. See below before and after pictures.

From the initial inquiry to final delivery of our Steinway Model L, every step of the process was smooth, efficient, and very professional. A shoutout especially to Todd and Sean for making the restoration of the piano a priority and a success. Not only were they very accommodating but also demonstrated a level of hospitality I have not seen in any other company. I highly recommend Lindeblad for any and all piano restoration needs!

Over the years, Lindeblad has always been my #1 choice, so I knew who to call when it was time to restore my 1925 Steinway Model O to its former glory. I was immediately connected to Matt Witte whom I call my maestro. All my questions, concerns, timetable for pick up and delivery, restoration, and refinish were immediately answered and promptly handled in the most professional manner possible. To my surprise, I received a delicious gift of over-sized, chocolate-covered strawberries, which I promptly devoured. Matt ALWAYS had time to keep me informed, send videos of my piano’s progress.. Matt is an encyclopedia of piano information. There was never a detail left unanswered. For me, Matt was my superstar. I would also like to thank Todd Lindeblad, the owner and my conductor, and all the superb craftspeople that worked on my piano from the bottom of my heart. They gave me back the piano of my dreams. The articulation, restoration and refinishing of my Steinway surpassed all my expectations. If Matt is my maestro, then Jay Itani is my encore. He delivered my Steinway. He treated my Steinway like his own. She was shown all the love and care one could possibly imagine. The delivery was on time with updates to keep me informed, which I greatly appreciated. Jay spent time helping me with the perfect placement and best angle to showcase “Miss Steinway” in the living room. However, there is more. I did not realize that with a satin ebony finish, I could erase marks, smudges, or small scratches with an ultra fine steel wool pad. Lindeblad supplied me with a complete kit with instructions to maintain the beauty of my newly refinished piano. I will never forget Jay’s demo. He CARED, and it showed. My restored piano is a beauty to behold in every detail. It took me days to fully grasp the complete artistry of Lindeblad’s workmanship and love evident in every possible detail.Lastly and most importantly, my Steinway delivered a sound and touch that I had envisioned in my mind and soul. Its response to my touch was immediate. The feel of my fingers gliding over the refinished ivory keys felt like velvet. My fingers floated effortlessly to give me the precise sound I desired. The most profound word I kept repeating was “‘WOW.” My fingers literally danced over the keys. The pressure of my hand delivered the most delicate pianissimo to a grand, robust fortissimo. Melodies were poetically lyrical - almost angelic - with the slightest touch of my fingers. I was playing “in the moment.” Majestic and heavenly! To complete my experience, not only did I receive a thank you gift but an appointment for a piano tuning by a master technician. I consider Joey Flemmer of Lodi, California as the “frosting on the cake.” Again, Joey was the finale to a grand journey at Lindeblad. My Steinway is at her most beautiful in looks, touch, and sound thanks to the team at Lindeblad. Thank you a thousand times and more! I am in heaven every day. My piano is my soul, and you made it happen. I am forever grateful. ❤️

Hello 13 years ago after retirement from my classroom. It was my joy to find the Steinway that would speak to me. Reminiscent of the 1908 I had had in my music room. I am living proof that good things come to those who are willing to search for and wait for, so inquiring from Boise Idaho to Queens, New York, somehow New Jersey brought Lindeblad Piano Company. I choose to believe it was a GOD thing. I flew to Pinebrook met the professional personal staff at Lindeblad. I felt so comfortable they made me feel special. All questions were answered, all requests satisfied. Now, my sweet model A has had its debut in Sheridan Wyoming. Thank you, Todd, Sean, Karen, MiJung, and Kyriacos.

It brings me such joy to play and practice again. Being a Juilliard graduate decades ago, it has always been a lifelong dream to own a Steinway. Now since retiring I realized I can do this my “Golden Age” Steinway grand. I had come across the Lindeblad Piano Restoration website a few years ago and was impressed with so many glowing testimonials on past clients. It is no window dressing, but the truth! The Lindeblad team of super talented artists are absolutely amazing! They can transform an unrestored piano into a magnificent work of art that happens to sound and feel amazing. It is so inspiring to know there is such a company out there doing just that. Sean and Todd Lindeblad along with Matt, Rob, and Bobby were personable, honest, and I knew I can trust them all. I knew I had found the best possible team to help me with my lifelong dream of owning a Steinway. Now everyday I can hardly wait to tickle the ivories as my dad would say to me as a kid! Our friends and family are in awe of such a beautiful piano too. So if this is something you have been contemplating, just do it, and call the Lindeblad team. They will not disappoint.

Music is a hobby of mine, my stress relief. When the time came to upgrade from my upright piano to a grand piano I started off with doing research online. By chance I can across Lindeblad Piano Restoration. Buying a piano online seemed crazy to me given that it was such a large investment. I had read many reviews online about Lindeblad Piano Restoration and they were extremely positive. With that, I decided to contact them and inquire about several piano’s they were restoring. At first I was very reluctant. Todd Lindeblad recommended we have a zoom call and discuss my concerns. After an hour long zoom call my mind was at ease and I put a deposit on a piano that was in the process of restoration. The restoration process finished a month ahead of time and was professionally delivered to my home. The piano looks incredible and sounds amazing. Being a picky person, I indicated to Todd one issue that I felt could be improved. Lindeblad Piano Restoration covers the first piano tunning. The piano tuning did not correct the issue so I contacted Todd and sent a video indicating what I did not like with the sound. Within and hour I was contacted and told not to worry, a second person would come to my house and adjust the piano. The Technicians from Lindeblad Piano Restoration contacted the tuner and discussed how do adjust the piano accordingly. The piano tuner showed up within a week and made the adjustments. I am now completely satisfied with how the piano sounds. There are places that ones you get a product, they wash their hands of the customer. Not at Lindeblad. They took the time to ensure the piano met my expectations to the fullest which makes me realize I made the right decision buying my piano from them. If in the future I decide to go with an upgrade, I will be contacting them once again.

My piano has been in the family for nearly 100 years - purchased by my grandfather as an anniversary present for my grandmother in the 1920's. It was clearly showing its age. I considered having Steinway restore it, but then discovered Lindeblad. Working with Todd was a pleasure, as he offered me flexibility and options to restore what I wanted, and how I wanted it done. He guided me toward the best possible outcome. The result is spectacular. I now own a brand new 1927 masterpiece, which looks and sounds amazing. Please see the attached before and after photos, and judge for yourself. I highly recommend Lindeblad, whether you are restoring your own heirloom, or are considering purchasing from their inventory. Quality is what you'll get.

Recently I had my father's Steinway L refinished by Lindeblad. The process from the time I contacted Lindeblad till the piano restoration work was completed was excellent. This included a tour of the facility and meeting several Lindeblad Family & team members. The organization is extremely professional and they clearly take great pride in the work that they do. Also, because of damage that had occurred to the piano, the restoration work was challenging. In the end, the piano looks fantastic, sounds fantastic, and hopefully will remain in the family for generations to come. Your piano will be in great hands with Lindeblad.

The summary here is I had a tremendously positive experience working with Lindeblad on the complete restoration of my 1929 Kurtzmann Grand Piano, and the outcome is fantastic.Craftsmanship is excellent. Tone and sound quality also excellent. Customer experience throughout is first class and I was treated exceptionally. Turnaround time exceeded expectations. Can't speak for other pianos, but I expected this restoration to take 6-8 months--Lindeblad had it back to me completed in 5. If you're restoring a high quality piano, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lindeblad. It's the right call. More details:I decided I wanted to restore this piano I'd inherited from my father, because of its history with my family and its many emotional connections. So I did what any modern human would do: I Googled restoration shops. I had seen Lindeblad, but being in Southern California, I had reservations about shipping my piano across the country to New Jersey, so I originally chose to work with a restoration shop close to home, a place in Orange called Piano Artisans. Piano Artisans charged me a $2500 retainer fee and put me in queue, quoting an attractive price saying they'd start in 9-12 months. When I reached out to Piano Artisans at the 9 month mark they said they were now quoting 12-18 months. At month 13, I canceled business with Piano Artisans and they refused to refund the retainer despite never having done an ounce of work toward the piano. I have since learned that this is not an uncommon practice in the piano restoration space, with some shops keeping you on the hook for 2-3 years before starting work. I feel this is an unfriendly way to treat customers. If you are evaluating piano restoration shops, I would urge you not to reward this business model of being held hostage by a vendor for an indefinite amount of time.I ultimately called Lindeblad and what a dramatic difference! Lindeblad has made the investments required to be able to manage timelines and give their customers a great experience. Logistics are handled in house, restoration all in house, refinishing all in house, this gives them solid operational control and the ability to hold their teams to really high standards. Their business model affords them the ability to do this, and their employees seem happy and come to work with enthusiasm.I first spoke with Matt Witte, who handles logistics, and between a few zoom meetings with Matt and Todd Lindeblad I was greatly reassured and felt very comfortable that we could get my piano there and back safely and on a reasonable time table. Once we got the piano there, Todd sent video evaluations of what work needed to be done and we reviewed a quote which was firm, and was exactly what I paid in the end. Yes, this price was higher than the other shop, but for a well defined and committed time table, and for a first class experience, this was 100% worth it. They kept their word on the timetable and started work soon after we signed and made our first payment. During the restoration process I received email communications and updates from Sean Lindeblad, who handles the customer experience. I was originally planning to fly out to the Lindeblad shop once the restoration was finished, but my job got in the way and I couldn't make the travel work. Sean instead sent me pictures of the piano and a video of someone playing it so I could hear it. I was overjoyed to see and hear those results. A couple of weeks later it was flawlessly delivered back to my home. The piano itself is amazing and has exceeded expectations. The work is immaculate, and it's really a brand new instrument. When I'm dead and gone, this piano will be something my children fight over. :) My mom (91) had some emotional moments in seeing it completed, as the restoration was something my dad had always wanted to do before he passed, but didn't get the chance. For me, this was a journey completed with an amazing outcome and as I said earlier, I couldn't be happier.

Having visited several companies in my piano quest, and finding none to be unpleasant nor particularly unsatisfactory, my Lindeblad experience proved itself to be peculiarly superior. Peculiar insofar as the inventory is onsite in both the Dover location where the instruments are refinished, and the Pine Brook showroom where one can try the finished products. You will find the atmosphere to be dignified and comfortable with as much time as you please to explore the various instruments.Todd Lindeblad is more of a host and guide than a salesman, by that I mean to say that he never pressured me nor failed to accommodate whatever I needed in my search, I felt as if I were a member of the family from day one.Having conducted my search for a piano for over a year, I was impressed seeing the longevity of their technicians, many are Lindeblads, and others seemingly familial towards each other, that made me confident in the quality I would find with all of the components in their refurbished pianos.I am thrilled with the piano I purchased through Todd Lindeblad, it is a joy to have my “forever Steinway “ it will be there for my children who are both musicians as our family heirloom for generations to come!I say with confidence that everyone seeking a piano should call the friendly and professional Lindeblad family and schedule a visit, I found them to be an absolute pleasure to work with, helpful and honest through and through. I think you will have the same experience I had and you will be, like I am, a Lindeblad customer for life.Thank you, Todd and family, you guys are amazing.Sincerely,Joe Picone
