We received our piano back today and I had a chance to physically inspect it. All I can say it is pure joy to see a family heirloom that I remember when I was 5 years old showing its age then in such great condition. Your business and family are truly blessed and the craftsmanship shows through clearly. I appreciate the added attention your company gave when we were trying to get the appearance to be similar to when it was a new piano over 200 years ago.
At 65 years of age I have witnessed the slow aging of this piano over the years and knowing what it meant to my mother, she would be ecstatic. Many Many Thanks for your craftsmanship on the restoration of our Family Piano.
Kind Regards

We bought our Steinway through Lindeblad about 8-10 years ago at this point, and we still love it. The care we got from the Lindeblad team at the time was tremendous. Two of our kids are classical pianists and the Lindeblad team took their time having them try many different instruments to hone in on the touch and feel that the kids felt most comfortable with. Eventually, we got to the piano that was right for them. All these years later, they still LOVE this piano... it is home to them. Whenever I hear of someone looking for a high-quality piano, I never hesitate to recommend Lindeblad. It was (and remains) an outstanding experience. Thank you Lindeblad piano!

I purchased a Steinway and Son's A3 piano from Lindeblad Restoration and I cannot be more pleased.
More than a few people thought I was a little nuts making such a large purchase over the internet - buying a 110 year old piano I have never seen in person and having it restored by people that I have little knowledge of. I like to think I am a good judge of character and from my initial discussions with Todd I had a good feeling. Research and reviews of the Lindeblad products did nothing to change my mind. Even my good friend and Piano teacher said I was taking a big risk. She came over after the A3 was delivered and played it. Her opinion now is that the piano is stunning and incredible - in looks, feel and sound!
Everyone I had dealings with at Lindeblad (Todd, Robert, Chad, Sean, Seth, and others) including the delivery person and the craftsman I visited via video chats were all customer focused, knowledgeable and so friendly. What a terrific team of people. I told them on several occasions they should give lessons to other companies about how to do business -- especially using the internet.
Lindeblad Piano Restoration is by far the best company I have worked with on a project. If anyone ever ask me where to get a piano you can bet Lindeblad will be at the top of the list.

I just got my Steinway D back from a full restoration from Lindeblad. The satin black refinishing is amazing. It looks like it did 25 years ago when I purchased it new at Steinway Hall. The action was restored completely including new hammers etc. The pedals were rebuilt and function like they did when I bought it. The touch and tone are great. It plays so easily and smooth. They were even able to fix the music desk which was bowed from leaving multiple books on it. The process was smooth without any surprises. Talking to Todd directly relieved any anxiety I had. The results were better than I imagined.

The 1st Presbyterian Church of Martinsville, IN experienced a tornado that damaged roof and sent debris onto our 1890's Steinway piano. Lindeblad completely restored our piano. It sounds amazing and looks so beautiful. All the gentlemen that retrieved
and delivered the piano were A+. Lindeblad Piano Restoration saved our piano. Todd and Sean Lindeblad were the best !

Buying a piano from Lindeblad Pianos is an experience that takes you back to a time where craftsmanship and customer relationships really matter .
The showroom is extraordinary! The space is impressive and huge , brimming with beautiful pianos . We were invited to play each one , for as long as we wanted , until we found “ our” piano . Our Yamaha upright was delivered a few days later , at no additional charge . After the piano arrived, we were contacted by the piano tuner , who told us to let the piano settle in it’s new environment , and made a complimentary appointment to tune the piano in its new home . The piano tuner , a true craftsman, meticulously tuned the piano , even coming out again at no charge , to make sure it sounded perfect.
Months after we bought the piano , the adjustable bench developed a squeak , and Lindeblad immediately delivered another bench to swap out .
We love our Yamaha upright , and when we are ready for a new piano , possibly a baby Grand , the cost of this piano will be credited to our future piano !
Buying this piano has been an amazing experience
Lindeblad is a multi generational family business and their personal care , and attention to detail makes us happily feel like we are forever part of their family!

At first I was disappointed because somehow calls were misplaced; however, Todd Lindeblad went above and beyond to make it right. He patiently and thoroughly assisted. It is refreshing to deal with a company that stands behind their excellent reputation, and no wonder they have an excellent reputation across state lines. I highly recommend them because you want to know that even where something may fall through the cracks, the company immediately acts to more than correct it. It is especially good to have the reassurance Lindeblad Restoration provides in dealing with a musical instrument like a piano.

Recently I purchased a 1925 Steinway B from Lindeblad Piano Restoration in New Jersey, USA. I’ve been playing for 70 years and professionally as a collaborative pianist in NYC and New England for the past 50. It was very exciting to see the ad for this piano on the Lindeblad site. It was a step up from my 1924 Steinway L and most importantly I’d now have a room big enough for the B.
But of course the notion of buying a piano unheard and sight unseen is anxiety producing to say the least.
If you visit the Lindeblad site I think the first thing you notice is the wealth of information that’s provided. It’s very much a level-headed presentation of things you should think about before making such a purchase. Naturally, you can compare this presentation to others online. But in my opinion very little of that comes close to the Lindeblad site.
Eventually I scheduled a video chat with Todd Lindeblad during which I described who I was, how I wanted to use the piano, and, the type of situation in which it would be located. He gave me feedback and more details. Not only was this informational but it was reassuring that on the NJ end of this possible transaction there was a real person who was concerned enough to talk with me..
After a day or two my wife and I decided to move ahead with the purchase feeling confident that the way the piano was represented and regarded was right for us. Thereafter the entire process of a deposit, scheduling, final payment and along the way the ability to pose and get timely responses to any questions asked, this all was straightforward, clear and timely.
Delivery occurred just before a major snowstorm in NH on April 3, 2024. And subsequently the week after there was a tuning.
It’s difficult to describe what a dream-come-true this piano is. But it is. It’s the perfect piano for my use. It’s equipped with a PianoDisk optical recording system which is also very convenient to my work with singers.
My interest in upgrading from the L to the B was a better sound integration of the registers and this piano achieves that goal. Plus it is simply a beautiful instrument and I love playing it. It has enormous expressive range which is controllable, a stunning quietness when you want it, and the ability to project a beautiful singing legato.
There were useful follow-up checks via email during the weeks after delivery and all I can say is that this is a deluxe service in every regard that will not disappoint you!

I has to move my Steinway halfway across the nation, and Lindeblad’s service was excellent. This piano was my father’s, and the sentimental value is priceless. Everyone at Lindeblad was helpful from picking up the piano, restoring it, and delivering to me. The entire process was smooth with great communication. This company was so helpful when deciding the best way to restore it. I would highly recommend to anyone considering restoring their pianos. I had an amazing experience and would work with them again with no hesitation.

I am an 80 year old woman who has played piano since I was four years old. When I left my home and moved into a senior housing complex, I sold my grand piano. I bought a cheap one from a music store, but its tone bothered me. So I went online to look for a new piano. Of course, I wanted a Steinway. I found Todd Lindeblad's site and contacted him. I do not have the money for a Steinway, but Todd has just received a Yamaha upright on a trade in. He made it possible for me to purchase this piano and ship it to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He also made a video of himself playing the piano.
This shiny, ebony piano now resides in my living room. I am extremely pleased with this entire encounter and with my piano.

Hearing the beautiful sound resonating from an 80+ year old piano steeped in history and imagining my father playing at concert level could only be realized through meticulous restoration. This was made possible by the Lindeblad family, together with their skilled colleagues, who expertly restored a 1930s Gulbransen baby grand. The piano’s long journey to and from their facility and within their care earned Lindeblad my complete trust and the highest level of customer service excellence. They are truly at the top of a league that holds only one: Lindeblad Piano Restoration.

Owning a Steinway was a lifelong dream for me. When my husband decided it was time to fulfill that dream, we were a little overwhelmed in our search. Initially, nothing was a good fit and the logistics of finding the perfect piano from our small town in Indiana were daunting. We happened upon Lindeblad in an internet search and suddenly everything seemed possible! We were immediately impressed with their piano stock, 30-day money back guarantee and their free shipping. Once we called them, things started happening at lightning speed. Todd was very understanding of our desires, and he made the process so easy. We were able to meet with Bobby, the head technician, to discuss touch and the technical requirements of the piano. Dealing with Matt about the shipping and delivery was stress free. Jay, who delivered our piano, was calm, unruffled, and moved the piano with an ease I’ve never before seen. In short, the entire process was seamless. They truly care about their customers, have fantastic products, and their professionalism and attention to details were spot on. I would, and have already, recommend Lindeblad for anybody’s piano needs!
