I've been going here over 10 years. I've spent do much time here that I consider the owner family. Sure you can get gas anywhere, but I wouldn't bring my car for service anywhere else. If it breaks down and I'm close enough to call for a tow, I know they aren't going to charge me additional useless add-ons. It's important to have a mechanic that you trust that can handle to job and isn't going to do unnecessary work. I appreciate Mike being honest about what needs to be replaced, what can be fixed and what is going to need to be maintained betterI wouldn't bring my car anywhere else, so if your looking for an honest mechanic and a friendly business, look no further, they are few and far between.

I have been using them for almost 20 years. There pricing has always been fair and, if there is a garage that can do the job cheaper they will recommend it. I had a couple holes in my exhaust, the took a look, and recommended take it Minike to save money. They charged me nothing for their time. They kept my car going for 14 years.

I wish I could give ZERO stars but that's not an option. It's not very professional to make someone sit in a broken down vehicle for an hour in single digit temperatures only to then deny service all together. I called AAA and they were supposed to come out. However decided they had better things to do. Very Professional. I'd rather die then deal with anyone in this company again... Real classy!

Not a fan of writing negative reviews. In fact, the only reviews I'm used to writing are positive. :/ So here's my story...I am driving down Route 23 and I hit...TRAFFIC! Suddenly my car's engine is heating up (no smoke, can just tell from the heat temp gauge). Mind you, it's snowing and freezing (snowstorm the day before Thanksgiving--anyone remember?) Called AAA to the rescue! They have a driver from Pompton Plains Service pick me up! I already analyzed my car's hood and was confident it was anti-freeze that simply needed to get refilled and I admitted I was embarrassed to not have looked at the coolant's levels before traveling from Boston to NJ. The driver (who was very kind) looked at it and agreed he thought it could be as easy as topping off my car's coolant fluid. He suggested to take it to his shop (thought AAA suggested another shop which was AAA approved). I agreed thinking it would be a cheap, simple solution to go to a local shop. Cheap? No. Simple? Yes. AAA did call and said I was supposed to go to another service station, but I figured it was not a big difference. The driver did great work and I would not say the workers are bad--in fact they were great! He topped off my coolant, there was no leaking from my car! I figured I was good to go. I was very grateful (as I am when I feel stuck in a car), and asked the owner how much I owe him for coolant and taking a look at the car. He asked for $60. Keep in mind, he just added anti-freeze and looked to see if the fluid was leaking. And, I only agreed to going here because I knew that I JUST needed antifreeze added, not to analyze the car. I asked what I would be charged ...$60 to add antifreeze? Ok that included the bottle of antifreeze which is in my car now. But over $50 to simply look? I'm not so sure I trust the owner. However, I do like his employees. They are kind and friendly! Just stay away from the overpriced costs somehow? Act very grateful, and apparently you get overcharged. That was my lesson.
