We stopped at this rest stop over the weekend to use the bathroom. It was midday and the ladies bathroom was disgusting. When I first got there, I noticed that the cleaning staff had a coffee saying the bathroom was out of order but I think the guy saw how many ladies were waiting and decided to open the bathroom again. I would have waited. When I entered, I saw bath tissue all over the place, dirty floor and the toilets were not clean. I had to clean mine before I even used it.

Thanksgiving weekend, minimal crew I am sure but.... The bathrooms were seriously lacking in the cleanliness department. Toilets, sink and paper towels completely out. Water everywhere. Manager note. Please hire additional crew members if possible for holidays. Thanks.

Disgusting! Dirty filthy scum. Don't eat or drink anything from this hell hole. Be sure to sanitize yourself if you are unfortunate to NEED to stop here. I suggest face mask and gloves. New Jersey Turnpike is just gross. Shame on you NJ!

It is official, John Fenwick New Jersey officially has the absolute most disgusting rest area on the NJ Turnpike strip and miserable employees in the country. We stopped by at this rest stop for what we thought be a nice little pick me up prior to getting back on the road on the Sunday afternoon at approximately 130. Went into the line at Cinnabons. A few folks were looking at the different offerings in terms of food. Unsolicited, and unprovoked the young man at the Cinnabon counter began to shout at the whole crowd saying "if you're gonna buy pretzels lineup in line right here otherwise go away". Not really sure whom he was talking to, but everyone in the line scratched their head as it was a smallish line and some people were only looking at the food . No one in that line really understood what this young man was doing. Other than taking his frustrations perhaps on life out on people.. So we decided we weren't going to patron a place that treats its customers like that. So we stepped out of the line (as did a few others) and went over to Starbucks. The staff there was having their own issues. Ordering was less than a positive experience for us, but we really tried to be upbeat as well there, as the young woman who was speaking on her ipod earphones seemed in the middle of something (maybe family emergency?) So we felt bad, and waited til she finished her call and the text. She took the order and it was sort of filled, but we were missing utensils and cream cheese, etc. We got beverages and our food and had to ask 4 times for knives and the cream cheese that we paid for to the drink team members (who were not happy about it). Then we go out to pay for gas and we have a gift card we tell the gentleman exactly how much to punch it before he even starts the conversation that it didn't take it he starts lecturing that we can't use it there that we have to go up to a kiosk up in a different road periodifferent road. The problem is here That we tried to explain he had to punch in the exact number in order for it to work. But he thought he knew better than the credit card company and obviously the customers so once again we decided instead of to patron that place that we'd go up the road a bit because luckily we had enough gas and go to a polo ferrier who took The car. More of the story is go out to some of these side streets it may be less convenient but definitely a better staff and team who wants to be working at a job for the right reasons

Right alongside the NJ turnpike and one stop shop for all needs. Plus they have a Nathan's Hot Dog, an Auntie Anns and a Starbucks all in the same place, which are three of my road trip favorites! Also got gas and used restrooms, which were decently clean and well stocked. All in all a great rest stop.

The Women's Restroom was one of the filthiest restrooms I've ever encountered. The doors to the building were disgusting. They look like they haven't been cleaned since the Eisenhower Administration!

July 2021 - only Burger key and Starbucks open. (~30 people long, not moving) Womens restroom line out the door. Kiosks and vending machines out of order. For the amount of traffic this place sees, updates are needed.

It says that store is opened in the app and in Google search. But the girl decided to make a break for an hour at noon, then when she made it to the register she started cleaning and preparing everything else for another 20 minutes. Put the sign that this store is on the break. But there was none . And all of the people were waiting without knowing what's going on.

Clean and decent . They have one or two food areas open 7-1-20 due to the new laws in place. They have clean bathrooms and its easy on easy off the highway. They have a small store for necessities.

Update for July 2020...Only Burger King is open. Starbucks, Auntie Anne's and the market that sells fruit & essentials are closed. Additionally, the indoor food court is closed, but there are a few picnic tables outside. Expect long lines for the ladies room. Not sure if they have staff maintaining the restrooms throughout the day, but the ladies room had a few stalls out of order. There is minimal social distancing, because there is no room to stand apart. Everyone over toddler age entering must wear a mask, but I saw a handful of adults & kids not wearing any face covering.

NJ turnpike rest areas are kinda run down. I mean, you've got all your basic amenities - parking, gas station, bathrooms, and places to eat. However, there's a grungy and not that pleasant feel to the rest area. There's nothing here that really makes you want to linger. You want to get in and out of this place as quickly as possible,

Hubby and I stopped here before we hopped on the NJ Turnpike towards Maine. There are plenty of parking spaces. There was a huge gas station on the premesis as well. I had no idea it was as big inside; they had a big bathroom, a Starbucks, a Burger King, a convenience mart, & an Auntie Annes Pretzel. There are plenty of seating for everyone to either eat or rest. The bathrooms were decent enough. There was an unclean odor present and although the sinks were touchless, there were paper towels all over the floor. We didn't order any food. This is a great rest stop to come to before anyone hops on the Turnpike.

You can't give zero stars. That's a problem...went to the Aunt Annies Pretzels...it's 5:30...you know...dinner time...and they have NO food. The cashier announces that they don't have any pretzels and it would be 15-20 minutes before they have any. My wife asks, "well what DO you have?" The cashier replies "Nothing" This is why I hate East Coast turnpike service centers. You're stuck with the dirtiest, most poorly run food service options available.

The burger King employees shouldn't eat hashbrowns from the bin that they serve customers from.
