I asked for a Handicap shower. The guy took my ticket that I was using to exchange for one. He said that he fixed it and our shower would be called as soon as the shower attendant who just came in got one ready. (Personally I would have thought that there was someone there already. But that is just my stupid way of thinking.) Well I assumed that my shower would be one of the 4 showers downstairs. ( Yes I said you would think it was one of the 4 DOWNSTAIRS SHOWERS FOR THE HANDICAP. ) But no the attendant said we are up stairs. Upstairs for a HANDICAP SHOWER? What am I missing here? So we went upstairs. Mind you I am legally declared HANDICAP. I have no cartilage between my knees. I had to go back to work because I could not live off of what I was making from Disability. I am not from the wrong side of the border.
Once upstairs we found our shower and we in. The other TA/Petro locations we us have 2 towels, hand towel, foot towel, and a washcloth. This one only had a towel, foot towel, and a hand towel. Mind you my wife and I are both showering. And this was known. So I have to go back downstairs and ask first that I didn't know that a HANDICAP shower was or should be up stairs. Second I asked for towels and washcloths for myself and my wife. The guy was like we only ever have 1 of each in the showers. I said kind of hard for 2 people to use 1 of each.
We have been out here for 8 years and deal with the TA / PETRO chain for 97% of our fuel. And shower when we get the chance. We have never been told we only put 1 of each in the shower. There are very few places where the showers are upstairs for the HANDICAP. Those places that do not have something downstairs for people who do not do stairs we avoid like the plague.
If this is the way TA / Petro wants to treat people with Disabilities then I guess that needs to be brought up to other agencies.

Good gas. But you always have to wait long for an attendant. Which is why i dont go there anymore. Mobil across the street always right there.

Very good prices and well lit and clean the only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is sometimes you have to wait for an attendant to come out and fill your tank. Since it's NJ you don't have a choice you can't pump your own gas.
