HORRIBLE experience in the Paterson location. I purchased high end computer parts for a custom built computer, and paid an additional fee to have the techs build it there. Picked up the computer the next day when it was ready (way over the 4 hour window that is advertised). We got home, unpacked the computer to notice that the computer parts had plastic on them which could decrease the longevity of the expensive parts, and may be hazardous. There was plastic near the motherboard, on the graphics card.. etc... really they couldn't take another minute to remove all the plastic from the parts...... We went to the store to complain as a fan wasn't working either. I spoke to MICHAEL the manager and tried to express my concerns. He was rude, loud, and unprofessional. I asked him if there was another manager that I can speak to as no apology, or no solution was rendered. He said that he was the highest person there. I mentioned that I would than have to express my concerns/complain to the corporate office, he told me that he called all of the shots (which may be the case). We walked away from that, and proceeded to the techs to get the fan looked at, the computer was checked, the cables were tightened as they were left loose, and the fan wasn't working because it wasn't connected properly... keep in mind they built my computer a week ago. We get home, and now the fan is running uncontrollably, we call, and come to find out the fan was connected wrong AGAIN. If I can give this place 0 stars I would, as I think 1 star is too good for the experience that I had. Save yourself the time, money, and aggravation!

Had a wonderful experience at Micro Center. I definitely missed a good in store experience that hasn’t been around for a long time especially since Covid. Micro Center truly provided that in every way all the associates seemed friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely become a regular patron of Micro Center due to this experience here even the cashier was friendly along with the manager, we need more stores like this and I urge you to visit this store and tell me different.

I love a good computer store, always have, and they're great at separating me from my money. But the salespeople here make this a really unpleasant place to do business. They're aggressive in their pursuit of commissions and love to claim credit by putting their little stickers on things they didn't even help you with if they think you're not paying attention.I have no problem with people getting credit for their work, and I certainly respect the hustle, but this isn't the way. Some stores are also like this, but another one in Cambridge, MA is not, and I'd rather just go there and have a better experience.

For 15 years or so I have done all the research I need to ask better questions then use their "build" staff to set me up with custom computer. I don't believe I can get a better price elsewhere as they both match and each time it only has the parts I need. Excellent experience each time. The only thing I don't like is the hour drive to get to closest store.

It's a great store, but the Knowledge Bar could be better. I brought in my PC three times, and it still needed to be fixed. 45-minute drives each way for nothing. And I had to wait every Tuesday for an update because that was the only day my Tech worked. We can't pass the work off to another tech? It took about two months for them having my PC until I decided to break it down, sell it for parts, and build a new one. I purchased parts from a different business. 2 Stars for the friendliness of your floor associates.

My story is quite a long one but I'll keep it as short as possible: I made MAJOR mistake and returned a motherboard with my nearly $300 ssd m.2 hard drive still attached under the heat sink on the board. I returned the board Friday 12/15 and didn't realize until Sunday 12/17. The problem was micro center had already sent the board back RTV to their dist center on Saturday 12/16. After a few phone calls and emails, less than 24 hours later Michael from the Paterson store called and informed me the distribution center in OH located the board in the warehouse! They said they'll have it in a few days and wcall me to pick it up. I want to thank Michael and the team at MicroCenter. They went above and beyond, especially during their busiest time of the year. I really owe them. I've been a MC customer for 2 decades and will continue to shop there for all my electronics and computer parts. Edit: Just back back home from MicroCenter. They had my retrieved SSD waiting for me and even put it in a little anti static bag. I really can't thank them enough. MicroCenter rules

Just left this place very upset. This place is 40 minutes away from me, so I drove there earlier, had help from one of tech guys, gave him my laptop model number and based on his knowledge I suppose he gave me correct battery. I drove back 40 minutes to open box and discovered he gave me the wrong battery. Now I didn’t want to drive again, I called customer service and was told that they don’t have battery that I needed in stock. I asked being that isn’t not my fault receiving wrong battery if is possible they can create a shipping label so I can return their battery instead of me going back for no reason just to return something that I it wasn’t my fault and the response is sorry ma’am no. Heck if they just hiring people with my knowledge then Who needs them I can buy wrong items on my own, at least I would not be upset that much.

Excellent Cyber Monday experience, super easy return of a bad motherboard, all the components I bought were competitive with online prices and the staff was absolutely excellent. Incredibly efficient, polite, happy and very knowledgeable. This is the go-to place for all things electronics especially for DIY makers who build their own machines for special purpose applications. Kudos to everyone who works there and keep it going, you have something unique and special.

I urgently needed a laptop for work. So I go to Microcenter, Paterson NJ and I ased a few salesmen for help. They bring me over to a young man who is joking and laughing with someone. They tell the young man that I need help and he continues to joke and laugh with the other person for at least two or three minutes and ignore me. This obviously began to anger me because I needed help and he had an attitude that I was going to wait until he was damn well ready to help me. When he finally did help me, he went to the back to check for something and never returned. So I walked out. I have shopped at Microcenter for the past twenty years but never again.

I brought my computer a week ago, the service wasn’t good, they took a lot of time, it was meant to just do a cleaning and change thermal paste, basically they brake one of the RGB’s pin from the motherboard, the pc wasn’t clean as I paid for, and they just put a dot of thermal paste on it, besides that my computer HAS NO problem with the temperature, they charge me $60 for cleaning and $60 for thermal paste. Very disappointed with the service that they offer.

Got my $99 Ender 3 V2 with a $9 kilogram spool of PETG @ 3.5% sales tax. You can't beat that!!! Also, is the store closing down? :(Edit: Nevermind, they are not closing. I came back to return some unused items in exchange for some parts to upgrade my Ender 3 V2!They answered all of my 3d printer upgrade related questions, thanks!

Paid $250 for microcenter not to give me my extra cables I provided with the parts that needed to be installed. So i had to go back and get them as well as the boxes. Also they never checked the computer and if everything was running well since my ram wasn't properly installed. Luckily a friend made me aware of it. The value is not worth the experience at all. Personally I wouldn't trust them with another build again.
