Poor customer service some waht prejudiced approach, these folks cheat you on your buy whole leg when they chop to small pieces they keep the most bone, you are buying whole leg to get the bones also

A chef friend suggested I take the trip to Paterson for my Easter Leg of Lamb. He recommended Brothers, a halal butcher. The location is unpretentious and parking can be a challenge. The first thing I noticed when I got there was no odor which to me signals freshness and cleanliness. It appears that everything is custom cut while you waited. I bought short ribs and a leg of lamb, both cut to my specs. The young butcher was very knowledgeable and kind. While you're in Paterson, make an adventure out of it. Visit some of the many middle eastern grocers and restaurants on Main Street toward the Clifton border. I would say for the quality and service, prices were very reasonable. I haven't cooked any meat, but will update.

Awesome, not only friendly staff but friendly fellow customers with a lot of recommendations. Great place for large and small cuts of lamb and goat, beef and they cut to order! They take credit card and are often open on holidays, too, in the mornings.

Great lamb and goat, was looking for a place that you can get anything cut to order. They have cheap and great quality halal meat, as my taste-sensitive family notes, not "stinky" like many of the frozen or older meats you get at general grocery stores for lamb/goat (they drain the blood so that helps). Lamb legs here and bones, ribs, and more cuts. Others in line were super helpful with tips on what to buy and get and how to get it cut (squares vs long vs other styles including cooking tips). While the beef short ribs were cheap, it was very fatty and sinewy; they could cut it thinly, though, so good for Korean-style bbq ribs. Parking here is terrible, though, often the lot beside has 3-4 spots but gets blocked by other traffic. Street parking is tough. Double parking is more or less required at peak times.

My wife and I first visit here on Feb9, 2022 and we arrived early at 10:00 and they were busy cleaning so we didn’t mind waiting as they are cleaning for our benefit . We have owned a halal supermarket store in Concord CA for few years so we know what it is like to get good meat . I know my meat and can cut a whole cow single handed and all the different steaks and I know the grades of meat well too . We wanted a small goat but they didn’t have the size so we had half of a bigger goat plus extra shoulder. Service was quick and clean . When they use the bone on the saw before they cut your meat you know they are cleaning the saw to avoid cross contamination from cleaning chemicals ! The meat here is very good and Ali ( my Moroccan bro ) who served us is a very honest man . We brought the meat back home from Paterson to Delaware in a cooler box. We cooked some meat today and it’s very good meat . I will be traveling all that way for 3 hours to buy the meat from here in future inshallah . I have read some of the reviews implying that customer service is not good , did not speak because they cleaning and so on but I urge all to understand that running a meat shop is not an easy job as it’s very stressful and the equipment is very dangerous requiring full concentration especially operating the meat saw so please leave them alone when they are cutting your meat as they need to avoid injuries . We did not see any sign to give us any impression that service is poor . These guys are working very hard so please think twice before you put negative comments on these family run small businesses.

I asked for goat meat, but they gave me lamb. I asked so many times if what they are giving me is goat, but they lied to me. Very unprofessional.
