We were two long-time friends who had travelled a distance to meet up at the Grain House. Our server, Maria, was attentive, but never rushed us as we took quite a while to dine and catch up with each other. She made us feel relaxed and welcome. In addition, Maria handled a problem with bill payment (my error) in a considerate and kind manner, saving me embarrassment. We will certainly return to the Grain House.”

“My wife and I started renting in 11/23, after selling our home in nearby Madison, NJ. We love everything about The Ave: the people working here , the layout of our apartment, the gym, the available conference rooms, the grounds—everything. Also, the entire place is always immaculately clean. Today, Franco and Jorge from maintenance fixed our bedroom shades after my wife had a little “mishap” opening them. Franco & Jorge as always friendly and helpful, as are the rest of the maintenance crew: Olman, Luis and Omar. I was sad when we sold our Madison home. But now, I love The Ave so much, I wish we would have moved-in much sooner.”

1275 Bloomfield Ave, Fairfield“Good Morning! I have spoken with the staff at both Fairfield and Fanwood locations, however I am hoping my words manage to reach the Parkers. My dog Ben was staying at the Fairfield location when my worst nightmare as a pet parent was unraveling. I am traveling for work and am across the country, not set to return until later in the week. Outside of the heroism of the first responders, humane society and good samaritans, I cannot say enough about K9 resort's personnel as well as policy/procedures in place. Friends and family always inquire why I opt to pay to board Ben while I travel. This incident answered that inquiry in and of itself. Your emergency plan went into effect and was implemented with the outcome we all desire for live saving events. So not only do I know my Ben will be happy, loved and well cared for while staying at the facility, he will be rescued should an emergency erupt, which in this scenario seemed to be unpredictable and to no fault of anyone. After hearing that my Ben was ok and survived, the care did not stop there. Being a panic stricken fur mom from thousands of miles away, the staff could not have been more understanding and patient with my calls, questions and emails. They were so kind and reassuring with the ability to answer every single question I had while tears in my eyes on the other end of the phone trying to keep my composure. I applaud you as the leaders of this corporation for instilling this professionalism and compassion down your hierarchy. I sent pastries to the Fairfield PD, as well as the Fanwood location and made a donation to Fairfield Fire. Please reach out to me if I can do anything from here forward to honor the K9 personnel from that night and who continue to treat my boy, as well as me, as if they know how much my dog means to me. Also should there be any recognition in time for the first responders, I would love to to be able to attend. As well as the reopening for Fairfield. I thank you again for your commitment to our lovely fur family members and for allowing me more time in life to love my boy Ben. With Gratitude,”
“If we didn't have a Hyatt card we would be somewhere else. They closed the restraint, and don't validate. I went into the room no microwave. I call down to the front and the guy says "oh we are full service hotel". My response how can you be full service with no restraint, room service, validated parking. Please don't piss in my face and call it rain.”
“Our family went for Easter brunch. Everything was fantastic, the setting, the staff, the event room and the food was spot on. Well done, it's hours later and I'm still full!”

“Check in was so east everything done the day before. So no waiting’s in lines or trying to navigate chaos like other hotels, but also no ridiculous high cleaning fees that you get with AirBNBs. It was the best of both worlds. The inn feels like I stepped into a Time Machine the historic decor is so well kept and preserved.Walkability: Everything you need within 3 blocks, but it was such a peaceful and quiet area. The subway was close enough to walk but far enough so you had no train noise. We even walked to a nice diner, there was plenty of restaurants all on the same strip.”

707 US-46, Parsippany-Troy Hills“This is the accommodation I stayed in on the first day of my trip to New York. Although it was cold, the heater worked well, the bedding was neatly made, and the floor was relatively clean. The bathroom was equipped with a dryer, shampoo, body wash, and body cream, but there was no toothbrush and toothpaste, and the toilet splashed when flushed and was not clean, so it felt poor.It is said that bottled water is not provided at all, regardless of whether it is paid or free, and breakfast is served in a simple continental style.Nearby activities: Nearby, you can have a quick beer at the hotel restaurant, and it is located in a convenient transportation hub for sightseeing by car, such as Manhattan or Washington DC.”

“Prior to showing up, I received an email from the property thanking me for selecting their location and if there was anything additional I needed to let them know. Miguelina, went out of her way to ensure everything was as best as it could. Such an outstanding individual and clearly takes her position serious! Thanks so much for the stay, I’ll be back soon!”

Every part of the process from check-in to check-out was easy, and we even got an upgrade! The suite was spacious and comfortable, and the kitchenette was well-supplied. I just wish the ice machine in the freezer had been operating. The included breakfast was delicious, and the convenience shop by the front desk was a great help.We have another outing planned in November in another town -- hopefully, that town also has a Hyatt House!”
“Wonderful historic yet modern refurbished hotel in the Short Hills area.. bar and restaurant is a highlight… lots of big businesses and offices close by.. must visit if one is in this zip code for comfy staying at a hotel.. bartenders are genuinely friendly and very helpful in deciding on drinks / food to eat… highly recommend and would love to come back if I’m here again.”

350 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange“During an unfortunate time in our lives my boys and I were living in hotels for about 7 months. We stayed here because the rooms were affordable compared to hotels around it. Their deposit is only $25 and usually refunded back to my card a few minutes after check out, where nearby hotels were asking for $250 and $300.The rooms are clean and updated with a refrigerator/microwave combo, 40 inch TV, heat/air conditioner. There's free parking and wifi. Walking distance from restaurants. They have free continental breakfast and free coffee/ tea all day. There's a small convenience store with an ATM near the front desk. They have a 24 hour gym. The room that wound up being our home for 5 months was perfect. It had a patio that led to a fenced in yard where pets or children can run and play. The staff were nothing short of phenomenal from the manager Kaigu (I know I'm speling it wrong), the front desk staff, the Cafe staff, to the cleaning crew. They were all pleasant and professional and treated my boys and I like family. The grounds are beautiful, it's the perfect place for a wedding, party, or any special event where you want the luxury without the price tag.Once they realized my situation, they made us feel welcomed. This place and their staff made a difficult time that much easier for my boys and I. I'll never forget the kindness they showed us. Now that we've finally found a home, we still consider the Wilshire Grand or home away from home. I'm so grateful to the staff. I'll never forget that in my time of need, you all shown me and my children that there are still good people in this world. Thank you.Walkability: Nearby burger King, pizza restaurants, ice cream shop.”
“We reserved the room block for our wedding at the Westin Governor Morris and both bridal parties got ready at the hotel. We worked with Charday and Christina from the beginning and they made a normally hectic time so easy for us. They were responsive, we were able to book a breakfast the following morning (which was fantastic), always kept us up to date on the room block and got us everything we needed to do early on in the process. Day of, we were able to check in early to the presidential suite (which was HUGE and well stocked) and the junior suite which was just as nice. Both doormen, Anthony and another gentleman who's name I do not recall were incredibly helpful as was the front desk manager and his team. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to book for your room block, or just to even stay in. Everyone was quite impressed. Thank you for helping make our wedding weekend that much better!”

The room was pretty clean and the front desk service is good although the location is not ideal because there is really nothing to do around here. It’s very quiet and there is nothing crazy going on here. Well I had a good night here and woke up on the right side of the bed in 2024.”

Breakfast is simple but it helps to get us going in the morning. I stayed here for over a week and I will be back because they were super nice to my Italian Greyhound. To me that’s everything.”

949 US-46, Parsippany-Troy Hills“The hotel could be better, especially the wifi, the rooms are a bit outdated, and their are no elevators nor snack machines, plus they ask for a deposit up front of $50 dollars just to remind you all, they need a better breakfast area as well, plus there is a big open space that fits well for a pool, so just a suggestion, that maybe in the future, an outdoor pool can be added: UPDATE: They also need to get some snacks on the vending machines as well, it's empty, and also the lobby area shouldn't be separate from the rest of the building, cause sometimes the guests have to step outside in order to go to the lobby, I also think that they need to check the doors because they are kept opened without entering the hotel cards, so it's considered a safety issue: THIRD UPDATE: Elevators should be installed, it will be much better for the guests: FOURTH UPDATE: To remind you all they are remodeling right now, so that's a plus, they are removing the carpeting and replacing with tile, also, the lamp in my room was a bit broken, so correct that, and I think the restrooms will be remodeled soon, the first floor needs more remodeling done, the shower head in our room is very old and has oxide in it, so keep correcting, and check the electrical outlets: FIFTH UPDATE: They have added Dove Products now in the bathrooms, so that's a plus: SIXTH UPDATE: The breakfast is getting better now so that's also a good thing: SEVENTH UPDATE: The only thing that's missing is the snack machines, they need to add those, and fix the faucet from some of the bathrooms, they also need to upgrade the computer to a newer version, it's Windows 7 and it is missing a huge chunk of updates: EIGHTH UPDATE: Found out that they do allow anyone to check in here, sometimes crackheads and it's not good, I think they live there and noticed in the breakfast area, some guests bring germs in by coughing around and its unhygienic, the hotel has the potential to become better but I think they really need new management now, the breakfast needs to be updated: NINTH UPDATE: They have an obsession with the security cameras and the "Two people" per room policy now, but the security doors are wide open in the middle of the night and people come in and out as they please, so they need NEW MANAGEMENT and an upgraded security system:”
“Everything we needed on our trip with incredible service on top. Wilhemenia at the front desk was an absolute pleasure. She was attentive and helpful every step of the way. Would come back for the service staff alone.”
