When Dr. Dulude moved to Caldwell, it became a longer ride for our furbabies to take - and they're not the biggest fans of carriers and cars. But going to the new office is well worth it. She and her staff are wonderful with our cats, and they're not traumatized by the visit in the least. I can't say enough about Dr. Dulude and her staff - professional, caring, thorough and above all, a pleasure to work with!

I have known Dr. Dulude & company since their prior location. She cares for my young cat and my very senior, anxious dog. I have nothing but praise for this practice. Major differences here: my dog has always been terrified of being at the vet, Dr D was the first to say, it's not his fault and after our first visit, she sent us home with 2 different ways to treat his anxiety in advance of his next visit. Also, she is very respectful of my opinion as an owner but is firm in her expertise at the same time. I'm very confident in her care.

We were looking for a vet close to where we moved to and this place was recommended to us and they didn't disappoint. I first spoke to Tori on the phone to make the appointment and she was awesome! Very nice and tried her best to squeeze us in short notice. When we went in last night Rachel at the front desk took care of us and she was so helpful and pleasant. We were brought into a room and I apologize because I don't remember her name (I think it was Erin) but she was a vet tech she was kind towards my cat Bella. Then Dr. Dulude came in and she was so kind and now I know why she's known as the gentle vet. She asked questions to get to know Bella, she read her records so she was aware of her history, she didn't just open her carrier and pull her out rather she talked to her, offered her a treat, and tried to get her out on her own. When she got her out she handled her with care, she was petting her, talking to her in a calm tone and that's so important because being aggressive doesn't help when they're already stressed out. Also, they don't charge you a whole mortgage payment to get your cat examined. We found our new vet and I will be recommending Dr. Dulude.

This vet is great at scheduling properly. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get through check in and see the vet. On top of that, they show care and empathy when dealing with my pets. They do not try to add on excessive services just to make bottom line. Happy that I was able to find them!

The Gentle Vet stayed open beyond office hours to see my fur baby after I found out he was exposed to a skin condition and started showing symptoms! She gave him the best care possible even thought she never met me or him before. She genuinely wanted to help me when all other places were booked and closed on a Saturday.

They were absolutely terrific! We came in off the street with our senior dog who was in great distress and they examined him and counseled us as if we have been clients for years. Wonderful doctor, caring and very professional staff all-around. I highly recommend this practice if you are in the West Essex, N.J. area!

Dr Dulude took care of our Cinnamon, a bijon-poodle mix, for the last 14 of her 17 1/2 years. We could not have asked for more honest and thorough and yes, gentle care from anyone. And she hires staff that brings that same compassionate to work for their patients. Good luck to her in her new office in West Caldwell.

Dr. Linda Dulude is not only an outstanding veterinarian but one with a heart. She took us in on a dark rainy night when our GPS directed us to her office instead of the emergency vet. We were blessed that she was there and she and her husband took great care in putting a splint on my puppy. Thank you again to Dr. Dulude and her wonderful staff!

I have full confidence with Dr. Dulude and her staff. They are very knowledgeable and friendly and follow up on every appointment. She even helped my guinea pig that was having labored breathing and she lived a very long, healthy and happy life!

I’ve taken all of my cats here for decades and always had a wonderful experience. I recently moved back to the area and needed an urgent visit with the doc because my cat is very sick. We took her to another vet and wanted to bring her here since we had a long trusting relationship with them. Despite the urgency of the matter and our cat being severely ill, they refused to see us until October. What a shame. This would never have been the case in the past. Stay away from this place.Editing my review in response to the Drs response:It’s obvious that you don’t value the life of our pets. Say I called a pediatrician…”doc, you’ve taken care of all of our kiddos. We recently moved back to town and had a baby and we just got a devastating diagnosis. Can we bring him in for you to take a look at the labs and our kiddo?” Staff will almost always say, “I’m so sorry to hear this! we don’t have any appointments until _____, but let me talk to the doc and see if we can squeeze you in sooner.”The fact that your office staff didn’t even show any care or compassion is the first disappointment. The second disappointment is once you saw this review, if you really cared and wanted to make this right, you would have called us. We’ve literally spent THOUSANDS of dollars across 3 separate pets over the last 15 years at your facility. You don’t deserve to be anyones vet.
