See Michael Gionis at JD Carton and Son. They have moved me twice now, once under VERY stressful, time sensitive conditions and they have made the whole process easy. Wonderful service, responsiveness and care from Mike. He's knowledgeable and a genuinely good person who cares about his customers. Movers were efficient and polite. Not one thing scratched, all my things handled with great care. Quick availability. A great overall experience. Great value for the money spent. Highly recommend!

I would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM!!@. Michael G never gave me a straight answer and twisted it around when questioned. Very disappointed, felt like we were taken. Gave me every excuse under the sun for not delivering what we were promised!!! He couldn't even remember what he said. My mover even said that we got taken for by thousands! Screw me once....Shame on me. Screw me twice. Well.... You know the answer.

My one word of advise would be to carefully watch and monitor the pack up and unpack process for when you get your final bill. I felt my bill (which they knew was being paid by a top notch insurance company ) seemed quite inflated.

I moved todhay — Michael Gionnnis and the JD Carton team were terrific. Michael is super responsive and the team who moved me today were true professionals,. I'm a tough customer but have to say they exceeded my expectations. The moving team was on time, very careful packers/unpackers, respectful, and super helpful. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

They may be reasonable in price but we had a really bad experience with this company. I'm shocked they are affiliated with such a reputable company like Allied Van Lines. We had to store our items in the truck at their facility for 5 days. The day of the move in, we realized that a lot of valuable things went missing. Power tools, TV, kitchen appliances, jewelry cabinet, etc. They say their facility is gated, secure and locked down but it is not. I went and parked in their lot to find employees driving their personal vehicles in and out of the building. Strange isn't it? I happen to get one of the movers cell phone number (he paints on the side) and he told me when they brought the van in, he told the owner that the lock on the truck was broken.

heir packing left a lot to be desired, we lost a lot of stuff to breakage. You don't put a 20 lb power supply on top of a ten thousand dollar transceiver with little or no protection.

I hired JD Carton & Sons for my move. Bruce, Fred and Bobby were professional, super nice and moved my belongings with care. They were efficient and finished in no time. I highly reccomend this friendly company!

Michael Gionis from J.D. Carton & Son, Inc. is a consummate professional. He provided exceptional customer service while being flexible and professional at all times. Here's a picture of a box packed in 1986 for a move to Pa. Just unpacked today- 10.15.17!! My name is Sharon Merkel Prudhomme. I want to once again, thank John Carton for his kindness so may years ago. My late husband, Bill Blaha, worked for JD Carton & Son in Chatham, NJ. My husband, Bill, died 7 mos. after our wedding in March of '86. Mr. Carton was so very caring and kind. He provided the truck and the staff for my move to Pa. I only had to pay the fuel!! First interaction with the lady who pickup up a phone was very pleasant. We scheduled an appointment with their estimator to come over and provide estimate for interstate move to a facility that we already selected. When the estimator called and I explained the need (moving interstate into storage facility at the destination that is operated by the agent of the same moving company) he was very pushy insisting on using their storage facility in NJ and demanding to know what is a final moving destination (he was not satisfied with the storage location). Very unprofessional. This is how Allied Van Lines lost my business.

Yesterday was day 2 of my family's move from Harding Township, NJ to Bernardsville, NJ. We hired JD Carton based on positive reviews we had read and based on Michael Gionis' (JD Carton moving consultant) pre-move visit to our home. He knew that our job would take two days & he knew what resources would be required to complete the move. He didn't waste my time and he was super responsive. I wish I had met him 3 moves ago. Our closing got delayed and I had to change our move date at the last possible second...literally at 5pm the day before the move. I was stressed beyond belief as we were moving mid-school-year with many uncertainties including weather. Michael bent over backwards for us, pulling strings & doing anything he could to accommodate us & put me at ease. He didn't let-on that he had to do some things to make it work out but I'm positive that he did. He was on top of it, no question. He told me not to worry & said that they would move us on whatever day & time worked best for us. He told me a couple of funny personal "move" stories that completely put me at ease. He took a huge weight off of my shoulders and made me laugh. I can't thank him enough for this. Two days ago, Collington Hall (move lead), Bratrem Cummings, Rascell, Tracy-Ann Hemm & Luis Castellon showed up at my house to move our life. This awesome crew did an amazing job. It's crazy entrusting everything you own to complete strangers and these complete strangers I would now do anything for. They are 100% trustworthy and a lot of fun to be around. They went above and beyond...no joke. I love these people. Rascell checked in with me to be sure everything was going to the right place. He clearly cared and consistently wanted to do a great job-to the very end. As I was fading, he was not. 💯Tracy-Ann is the biggest sweetheart. She befriended my crazy dogs and was so great with my daughter. She's a fantastic, genuine, strong woman with great positive energy! Luis was the master at organizing and prioritizing things. He was always smiling and was a pleasure to be around. Bratrem is hilarious. He is all heart with superhuman strength. It was so cool to see this team work together. They really care about each-other and they really cared about us. Collington reminds me of Samuel L Jackson. He's a baddass who's got it all together & he is a fantastic leader. If I'm ever in a foxhole I'd call on this team to get me out of it. Bottom line...everything is exactly where it should be. Nothing is broken. They cared about us & I'm better for knowing them.
