Bohren’s moving was not on time and most of my property was damaged when I unpacked. They did not offer to pay for the damages. Do not use this company

These are the most unprofessional and movers and would never ever recommend this company to anyone. Did not provide the service that was paid for in a recent move to Texas. My furniture was picked up and transferred to warehouse and then repacked on to a different truck for transport. That was never what agreed to or paid for. My brand new 12K couch was destroyed as well as new buffet. Just a bunch of unprofessional clowns. Promise things and just never deliver. Sorry I have to give one star should be NONE.

I think moving companies in general get poor reviews, so I am happy to write this very positive review of Bohren's Moving and Storage. Everything was great from start to finish. Using the app with Samira we determined what the job involved and would cost, and that was exactly what we ended up paying. Amy was great in coordinating the move. Manuel and his team showed up right on time and were fantastic in finishing the packing and getting the truck loaded. My wife and I were moving out of Hoboken, and it was dicey getting several pieces of furniture out our narrow spaces, but Manuel handled the issues and our anxieties with aplomb. It was a two-day move, and the van showed up bright and early the next morning at our new place in Newtown, Pennsylvania, and everything was quickly unloaded. We had extra boxes and furniture to go into storage, and the team made a second stop to unload at a storage facility nearby. All our stuff was handled with tender loving care. We couldn't be more pleased, and we wholeheartedly recommend Bohren's Moving and Storage.

Lost a 65" tv due to damage in shipment. The said since the tv was packed in its original carton they wouldn't cover the loss. They never told me during the process that original cartons were not covered if damaged. Certainly would have had them packed by the company they did several others. Not good cost me $2000 out of pocket.

IN 1 LINE: Professional, reliable, and respectful moving company! CUSTOMER SERVICE: The salesman Mike Carolan came to the house to give an in-person estimate. We did have a choice whether we wanted to take pictures and send them in or have a walk through. We chose the latter for a more accurate estimate. We opted for a fixed rate. We were given a ten day range for the moving company to arrive at our destination, and everything arrived on time. Amy, the dispatcher was always kind and helpful. RESPONSIBLE: Both teams took exceptional care in covering wooden, tile and carpeted floors and staircases. They also took their time wrapping delicates, chinaware, leather furniture and paintings. The company even has a third party service to crate specialty items such as large marble slabs. This service showed up on the same moving day to offer their specialized wrapping service. FRIENDLY: We had two great moving teams. The one in NJ was Ram, Mike and Monte, and the one in FL was Mark, Paul and Kevin. Everyone was kind, professional and respectful. What a pleasure to work with nice people. Thank you, Bohren's!

I hesitate to give a one star review, as a business person, I understand the value of reviews and the overall review. I would prefer to just say customer service MATTERS, and in saying that I mean, as humans, let's speak with respect. I had an appt. for a review of my move with Albert. Well, I am all over the place (on me) with coordinating this move coming up in a month, while coordinating with a one year old. For us, price matters less than knowing we are paying for excellent service. I have done my homework on using local movers who promise to deliver, but actually sell it to a freight, but I also know the large companies essentially do somewhat of the same: small company in this city is my mover, then it goes to a big freight of the main company (Here United), and then a small company on the other end picks it up. I have done my research on the DOT#s and looked at government complaint databases. My move has 2 options: 1. get a POD have it filled by a mover here that I know, also have that mover move some family furniture to CUBE Storage (awesome place in Glen Rock, NJ) 2. Go directly Ridgewood, NJ to Nashville with a moving company and have a drop off at storage. On the morning of appt. I got a text for confirmation, I realized, wait I forgot to cancel this, as we are leaning toward going with a small, local mover, either for the move to POD and storage, or for full move to Nashville. (Yes, there is one that I spoke to that will do this, same guys, their van, 3 days they get it there. Granted this is a pricier option.) The photo is my text exchange with Al on text...judge for yourself. Certainly left me with a bad taste and definitely disappointed after it seemed they are a good company when I looked at the reviews after the text exchange. Hey, if I had it wrong, or you thought you might do better, instead of texting these comments, pick up the phone and TALK to me - I am open. Let's face it, moving is stressful and not something you do everyday, so anyone knowledgable in the field is incredibly helpful - OH well Bohren's you lost a customer and what do they say, 1 bad interaction hits 5 people, well when you come from the area, are involved in business, and your family lives all over Bergen County, that 5 people gets multiplied... Guess if I had some fine art to store I would be treated better...

We contacted Bohren's because they are affiliated with the #1 moving company in the US - United Van Lines. When we got our moving date, I contacted 10 moving companies. Those that did in-home inventories/estimates went to the top of our list. You can’t make a valid estimate without seeing everything. We had a good idea of how much we had, so the top 3 closest to this were weighed by what they had to offer. Our top 5 items were: Best inventory estimate (weight/cubic ft.), Free destination shuttle (if needed), No off-loading or storage of our inventory (until it got to our destination), Price, and Reputation/Review. Bohren’s hit all 5.
Bohrens’ estimator was the most thorough one we had to our home. She opened cabinets, look behind doors, asked about the attic, etc. We even received a small refund because she estimated 153 lbs. over (which she said she usually does by a small amount). I mean, how closer to exact weight is that?!? I’d rather see a slight overage in the bound weight than having to owe a mover because it was >10% over! We also loved our driver, Mark, and the loading and unloading crews. They were all very considerate, courteous, and WORKED! Mark was so easy to deal with – he let me know when he’d be at both destinations and was even there during the earlier part of the timeframe. All in all, we were extremely impressed with Bohren’s/United Van Lines. We highly recommend them!

Your men came to deliver furniture to a tenant upstairs and left huge cardboard boxes in front of the building in busy Downtown Manhattan. They were asked politely to load their truck, which was no where in site, because our neighbors were calling, worried that they would get a sanitation ticket. The man in charge was very rude and intimidatingly said, "you're not paying me so I don't have to do that." Ignorant attitude.
