Was looking for a birthday card, saw the high google rating (4.7!), and thought this would be a good source. But it's just a make-shift shop with meager inventory. Wish people in the area would rate things realistically.

The owner is a family man who lives in town. He gave good service and was personable. Some people gave this business a bad wrap, but I feel like it may be because of the language barrier. We will be returning again!

The husband/wife team has always been nice to me. They are not chatty and do their jobs. Upon greeting them, their response is minimal. Found out I had to redo my regular lottery ticket I reuse and the guy helped read me my numbers as I was filling out the new one so I didn't have to keep relooking back and forth. When it went thru correctly we had a cute mini-celebration. It's the little things... Good to support little businesses like these.

I try not to give bad reviews because I don't like to knock any businesses. However, If I could give 0 stars to Cash's Stationery in Park Ridge, I would. The man that's always behind the counter (assuming he's the owner) is always rude. I go in there only when I need to purchase lotto tickets or scratch offs to put in Birthday cards & it's on my way home from work so it's convenient. There has never been a time that I have gone in there that this man treats his customers in a pleasant or friendly manner. It's a wonder he's even in business considering it's either empty or if one other person is in there, they are usually only buying lotto tickets like me. No matter how nice you try to be, he continues to be a nasty miserable man. Today I walked in with a smile & said hello. Per usual, no hello & he was so rude when I asked him a question about a scratch off ticket that I said "you need to learn how to treat your customers, maybe more people would come in here" I will go out of my way from now on to get lotto tickets and won't ever return to that store.
