It was my first time purchasing snowboarding equipment, and I went into the store with zero knowledge about the gear. Thankfully, Tim M. from the Paramus location, who was very knowledgeable and patient, helped me with all my questions regarding selecting the gear and board. I can now say that I walked out knowing a bit more about boards and gear, and I will be coming back in the near future.

I went to Ski Barn to buy my first set of snowboarding gear. The staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable. Tim helped me out and answered all of my questions. I had a great experience! Thanks so much Tim!!

We'd been going to Ski Barn in Paramus for the past few years for rentals for our kids and have had terrible encounters - staff making us feel like we were putting them out when we asked to try different sizes/brands since certain boots are not always the best fit for every foot; ill-fitting bindings that were either too small or too large for the boots (ratchet straps couldn't tighten enough or could barely close); old equipment that badly stunk of foot odor, and boards that were unwaxed (they offered to wax them if we paid a fee). In general, while some members of the staff were friendly, a few others just had a condescending attitude and it made for a stressful buying experience.
Today we went to a snowboard shop in Westchester and the difference was incredible. While Ski Barn always had me feeling rushed and stressed, the new place we tried had employees that were professional, accommodating, friendly, and 100% helpful. As a result, we won't be returning to Ski Barn.

Anthony T from the Paramus location is one of the best sales associate. Anthony has helped me with my two girls ski rentals. He went above and beyond with helping us with rollerblades. He got us two pairs one was not in stock but he got it the next day for us. He is the best always helping in anyway. Thanks again!

Beautiful selection of outdoor furniture but what stood out for me was the service. My salesperson, Natalie, was extremely knowledgeable and patient as we figured out what would work best for my backyard. I have since been back to purchase several additional items. I can’t say enough good things about my experience!

My friend and I visited the store, my friend for a pair of snowboard boots, and I was looking to see why a pair of boots I had bought from a different store was causing foot pain. We were service by a boot fitter by name of Freddy. He was super friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond my expectations to address both and my friends needs. He helped me root cause the issue with my boots, and I will be looking to purchase my future boots at this store.

Fantastic customer service! Tim Mackenzie in the snowboard department was courteous, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I definitely recommend going into see him for all your snowboarding needs!

Lots of merchandise but not what we were looking for this time around. The girls found UGG slippers that they bought. Plenty of staff but not overly engaging. Clean and organized store.
