I can buy the same Hills cat food here and my cat will eat it but if I buy the same from Amazon he won't eat it. Best selection on cat food.

A sign on the wall clearly states they match online prices. Then some manager comes over with an attitude and says mom and pop shops online aren't acceptable. The store is a joke and Harriet a manager is the biggest two face clown the company ever got stuck with. Not a nice woman, nor was the other supervisor. You'd think they as a 3 store chain would follow their own rules.

Paramus resident here, so I've been coming here for years but the way the store manager Harriet (short woman, long curly hair, with glasses) spoke to me over trying out dog brushes (which let's be serious are designed purposefully at dog stores to be tried out prior to buying) This "Karen" begins to speak and talk down to me like a child with a nasty face and tone (definitely does not belong in customer service and luckily the employees at checkout and stocking are friendlier) I proceeded to school this Karen and advise her on other visits I have seen her be accepting and allowed other customers (so she's bias towards those she knows ?) to try out dog chew toys and I've seen her physically put them back on the shelves ? But this manager tells me brushing is unacceptable but letting other dogs put their saliva onto toys is okay...LET THAT SET IN! I feel bad for the owner of this establishment as I've seen less and less customers come into this location over the years but with a manager like Harriet I can see why they're losing business. Very bossy Napoleon complex manager, can't wait to catch her allowing patrons she's friendly with to do far worse to items (than trying a brush) and placing it back on shelves. So don't you dare have your pet try out of bed or a cage or a harness cuz HARRIET will chastise you like a child (unless you are her friend) ?

Amazing selection of brands for all types of animals! Your furry and fuzzy and scaley friend will definitely get what they need here!The best part is they are always stocking the shelves, so if an item isn't there, it may be later or the next day.Management and team members are also great. Beyond friendly and helpful. They will also order you bulk of an item if you ask.

Let me start by saying I have been a regular customer here for years, actually since they opened. I have never had a problem with them until recently when I went to purchase my usual Stella and Chewy's raw kibble for my almost 11 year old English Bulldog. They recently raised the price of this food $5 more than anywhere else but as a loyal customer they usually price match from online stores as well as local and online retailers. I got to the register the other day with my bag in hand ready to purchase and showed the girl the online price from a pet specialist retailer. I was told they are no longer price matching from this retailer or any others except for the ones they had on a list which included Amazon, Pet Smart and Petco all of which do not carry the particular food my dog eats. The cashier called the manager and the manager was extremely nasty about the situation and proceeded to tell me that they will not price match with any of the retailers not on the list. I stated that I was a loyal customer for years and they have always matched the price or accepted coupons( also which they would not accept anymore). The store is usually empty and now I understand why. The prices are way above what they should be and the staff is rude and unaccommodating. If the manager wanted a customer to continue shopping at their establishment and since I have been a customer for years, she would have honored the price and then said next time you will have to find the item at one of these places or matched the price from Stella and Chewy's directly. Hence I will not be shopping at this store anymore and want everyone to know that the prices are way overpriced and the manager has no idea how to deal with customers. It's only a matter of time before this one goes under too which is too bad because they do have a decent selection of items. The manager should go back and repeat her manager 101 training class.

The kids that run the front of the store are absolutely wonderful, chipper and eager to help. My problem is with the person that runs the customer service desk, Harriet. Abysmal service and outright rude to me.I had bought a large fish tank for my wife’s birthday. Upon filling it with the special order water and sand for the specific fish she wanted, a leak had sprung from the seams of the tank. When calling to make sure I could get a refund on the defective product, I was passed back and forth on the phone until finally getting a hold of this woman. When I showed up in person I was made to wait for 30 minutes only to be told there was nothing she could do. She was so overwhelmingly abrasive she actually made my wife cry.After going back and forth asking for any kind of help I was told to come back when the owner was in. When will Steve come in? No idea! Is there any other form of contact other than this review? No! So hopefully Steve sees this and can set up a time with me soon!Harriet clearly works in the back for a reason, I just wish it was the stock room. Only shop here for something like your usual dog food. If you ever buy something and try to make a return they won’t take it, even when the product warranty says they will and you have all necessary receipts.

My experience at this store wasn't great. Just letting you know that if you lose your receipt and don't have an account with them your at a loss of money. They will not give you store credit either. They said they can't pin point if the merchandise is from their store. Which is d*** because if you scan the item you will see its from their store.Never going back to this store.

I didn't like the fact I worked here for 5 years in my early 20s and when doing so they couldn't even give me discount when my purchases of fish and accessories would have been over $400. I used to give 10 percent off total fish price if it exceeded over $200 bucks. all I know is what you pay for the fish because I used be the one to make those decisions who and where I would buy from. When Oscar cost 3 to 6 bucks and you up sale it for more then double smh never buying from here ....ps all your cichlids need better management there since most them have ick.

If you're a cat parent, you have to check out Pet Goods! They have the largest selection of cat food, treats, beds and toys I've seen in the area! The cat beds are pretty expensive, but they're great quality. Food prices are just slightly cheaper than chewy auto-ship. Petco and Petsmart never have half the stock Pet Goods has. The customer service is great. Everyone we've spoken too is very nice and helpful. I would give 5 stars if they had more cat supplements!
