I am a regular customer of hertz and I have been renting from hertz for years, I use to rent in different locations,but on December I rented on this location, the guy that took care of me was Jorge, a very rude and disrespectful guy. I don't want to tell the whole story here because will be too long, but that guy yelled at me, told me that he will not rent me any car and threw my cc and my dl at the counter. I asked Linda ( his boss) to get someone else to take care of me and instead of de escalate the situation, she told me that I have to keep working with him. working with a person that disrespect me? of course I told her no, but in front of other customers they kept escalating the situation. At the end she took care of me but not before letting her employee jorge disrespect me in front of other customers. that is sad because I wasn't asking for a favor I was paying for the service.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. This place is ran so wrong. I rented a Tesla from this company from this place and was treated with much disrespect from the two girls that worked the test in the front. I don’t know whether it was I’m a woman, so I have to be in control or if it was a prejudice thing, but it definitely was something because they would always be disrespectful. They’re no longer there in the manager was left. She was seem nice but was always so busy probably cost the two front counter girls have no ideas what they were doing. Don’t waste your time and go there.

The people that works here are so stupid (thats IF they are even here). PERIOD.I have to get a Tesla from here because the Paramus Tesla Collision is out of loaners so they sent me here to get a rental with cost on them. They will be paying for the vehicle, not hard to understand, correct?So tell me why I see a bill on my credit card after I returned the car after told them TWICE that the bill will go to Tesla Collisions?

Had a reservation for today, took an Uber 20 miles there for them to tell me they can’t log into their system and “there probably won’t be a car available anyway.” No trying, no resolution, no timeframe, just “we’ll let you know, this happens all the time.” Female employee snapping her neck, talking over me, has nerve to tell me to call the location “next time” before making a reservation. What’s the point of a reservation then? What’s the reason for attitude if I did what I was supposed to do, yet your company didn’t? Sorry, won’t be a next time. First and last time, I walked out of there and took an Uber back home. If you’re miserable at your job, do something else or learn what customer SERVICE actually entails.

This was a horrendous experience I recommend avoiding- pay the extra to go with Enterprise. We ordered a “mid size, Toyota Corrola or Hyndai Elantra.” Upon arrival, we were told they had no gas vehicles, electric only. They told us we could call Hertz and request a gas car elsewhere. When calling, they asked us to drive over two hours out of our way in one direction to replace the car.Due to our travel plans, we had no access to chargers in rural New York. We were not able to do things on our trip we planned and spent hours in parking lots waiting for a charge.Upon discussing this with corporate, they would only offer a 50 dollar voucher. Avoid at all costs.

I reserved a car only to come here and be told there are only electric cars. If I want another car I would have to wait a few hours until someone returns another car. They were not accommodating at all and PS I am Hertz five star zero accommodation for loyal customers. Shameful. I also paid for a suv and they didn't have any available. Note: 1. ALWAYS call and see if they have a gas car if you're going long distance 150miles +. Unless you have 2 hours to spend recharging mid-trip2. The staff is not willing to think outside the box and find solutions for customers. .

Not only have i been here once but twice. i rented a car from here and the calm setting when i walked in was amazing. i walked in with four people in front of me and even though the floor was packed but the manager and the employee greeted me. they also took great care of me through the whole process and even was patient enough to wait for me while i was on the phone over all great service and i will be writing another review once i get there names.

I just rented a car from Hertz last week. I needed a car in an emergency due to my van breaking down and I needed to get to work. I called first to make sure that they had the type of car that I wanted available. When I arrived the paperwork was done quickly and the car was ready and off I went. The vehicle was clean and still had the new car smell. Upon arrival to drop the car off, they discounted me because I came back earlier and my security deposit was refunded back. I was very happy with their service.

I made a reservation for a Tesla - Uber car 2 days ago, and when I arrived they just told me we don’t have any Uber cars. I wonder, what’s the point of reservations then? And why nobody from the staff contacted me to let me know not to waste my time going there?

Today is July 17 2023 and i have been calling for almost 2 hours at 1pm and no one answers the phone. Its comical how a business this big cant even have someone to answer the phone at this time of the day. Embarrassing and hertz should he ashamed.

We were recently just 2 vacationers disappointed with the UA flight cancellation issue. At 2am, when our flight cancelled, we made a reservation through Expedia for a car the next morning. I was doubtful with all the delays, July 4th weekend, etc…. But happily a car was waiting as was a Hertz employee, Linda. Linda was interested, helpful, kind and encouraging. She gave us her full attention and knowledge that we needed to start our way home. The vehicle was perfect and clean. We were so grateful and thankful for the ease of the transaction/experience; mostly due to Ms. Linda as well as the other employees and customers present. They were all encouraging. Thank you Hertz of Paramus, NJ!!!

Booked through Uber a week ago, confirmed with text from Hertz the day before. Spent $45 to get there by Uber, but they said they don't have any cars available for Uber. While waiting for my return ride, I saw many people arrive and returned/picked up their car. I heard someone rented car through their insurance, and they also got their car. Terrible customer service towards Uber car rental program. No apologies given, just a straightforward No. Unbelievable and unacceptable service. Would give 0 star if I could.

Absolutely horrible, rented my car here after an accident if I could give 0 stars I would. Gave me a car that had hair, food wrappers and grime all over it complained and they said they did not have another car. I called Hertz corporate who told me to bring the car in and then the store demanded I bring a full tank as compensation to get a "replacement" out of my own pocket. When I finally had my car repaired Hertz did not let me drop the vehicle off at the repair shop but wanted me to come in. Overall the worst customer service I have been provided to date. If your on the line as I was between enterprise or hertz I hope this sways you to the other side.

I had no problem picking up my Uber rental. You have to call and make sure they have a vehicle available. There are hundred of Uber Driver's on the road and availability is due to proper booking in advance. Staff was great and the lady that answered the phone was very helpful. She told me there was one coming in and that she will call me when it came in. She sure did and I got my rental. It's all about timing.
