200 Grand St, New York“I thought I had tried the best fresh mozzarella in nyc. WOW, was I wrong because the absolute BEST is right here. It is something you dream about. The cheeses, I'm veg, but the meats I'm sure are on par with everything else. Side note, the cute son or cousin told me to read or peruse the families book next time you are waiting on line because you will wait a little. It's not a huge shop though, it's manageable and it's beyond worth it!”
“THE BEST HALAL MEAT ! Not only is the meat HIGH QUALITY ! The people are 10/10 come to see NINI THE FUNNY BUTCHER, my new best friend and yours. I won’t go anywhere else ! NINI IS THE ONLY ONE !”
“NYC history. And NYC present. The story of the place is great. And the cuts of meat are always primo. If you’re a tourist and can’t cook while in NYC, their totes and sweatshirts are a fantastic way to support them”
“Love this place if you know then you know everything here is the best and closest salumeria to being in Italy as it gets only the best when I'm in the bronx god bless”
“Omg I totally love coming here. It is my new to-go pakistan ?? grocery store in JC. I can't stop buying delicious desi things and it ? reminds me of home .”

185 Anderson Ave, Fairview“The highest Quality Meat Sold anywhere, This is the only place to go for fresh Beef, chicken , and especially Lamb,... The owner personally goes to meat auctions to purchase the best possible meat, Not like any store in the area. They will go out of there way to make sure you get want you want, cut the way you want and by far the CLEANEST place to buy meat. -- Don't forget to get the homemade Kofta, and Adana ground meats.”
8:30AM - 6PM
43-09 Broadway, Astoria“They were so generous and allowed sampling of anything possible. I ended up getting the goose/pork Pate (good but I didn't like the packaging), Istrian vrat (pork), and manouri cheese (so good, a nice snacking cheese). They did charge me 9.99 a pound for the cheese when it said 7.99, so I would check for prices. I tried their dried beef and really liked it so might go for that next time.”
“This place is so nice and the staff are welcoming and friendly! I bought a 35 day dry aged Delmonico steak, and it was the best steak I have ever eaten. Its been weeks and I still remember the taste. they gave me specific instructions on how to cook it which was very helpful. The steak was huge and fed 3 people. I will be returning for another dry aged steak”
12 - 6:30PM
393 Central Ave, Jersey City“Their meat seems to be very high quality. We bought 2 lbs of matambre which we call sobrebarriga. It came out perfectly tender and delicious in a dish called sobrebarriga en salsa criolla. They were very helpful in the process taking time to explain what cuts were good for whatever our needs.”
8AM - 6:30PM
4416 30th Ave., Queens“This place has very quickly become one of my favorite places to eat in the area PERIOD. The sandwich variety and quality is amazing. They’re more expensive than what I’m used to for a sandwich (I’m not from NYC), but as soon as you take a bite, you get it. I always forget to take a photo when I go here because I am so focused on eating! Portion size is large, and I usually eat one sandwich over two meals. Staff make excellent recommendations, are genuine, and usually offer a free sample of whatever they’ve just made, which is a very nice touch. Their house vodka sauce is delicious. They also make fresh pasta, and I’ve enjoyed their gnocchi. Will be back again and again and again.”
“I visited and shopped first time today - I live walking distance to the store! Wonderful little place - the butcher section looked amazing and super nice owner working hard! I found just what I was looking for and will be visiting again soon. So lucky to live in this multi cultural neighborhood!”
“The Arthur Avenue Retail Market is one of several public food halls across the city, including Essex Market (LES), Jamaica Farmers Market (Queens), La Marqueta (Harlem), and the Moore Street Market (Brooklyn). The Arthur Avenue market opened in 1940 to serve the predominantly Italian neighborhood and still does to this day. There are several vendors, including butchers, fresh produce sellers, dry goods, and at least one restaurant and sandwich joint.I was running errands in the area and needed a sandwich, so I ordered a mortadella and broccoli raab sandwich from Mike's in the back on the right. They also offer many pre-made sandwiches if you are in a rush, but I like to order off the menu. The butchers look great and have an assortment of specialties, including offal and fresh rabbits. I can't wait to see what they offer around Easter time. There are a few tables near the bar in the back and as part of the restaurant, but it's hard to say if you are welcome to sit there to eat a sandwich. Regardless, it's a great spot to check out if you are walking along and want to pop into NYC, equivalent to a European food hall.”
“The absolute best home made pork provisions in North Jersey. It’s like a candy store for adults. Everything is absolutely high quality. The landjäger is delicious. Teewurst is a must try. They make some every Thursday. The fresh made veal loaf is top notch. The counter guys are fast and efficient. I highly recommend this place.”

“Went there today with my mom and it was a good experience. The man behind the counter was very patient with our questions and helped us get everything we wanted. Drove far to get there but worth it. Left with two bags full of meat for under $90. Will definitely go there again.”
“We have been buying our kielbasa at East Village Market since the early '70s when the shop was on Avenue B. Since moving from NYC, I still place orders for the kielbasa to be sent to our home in MA. One year we actually brought the kielbasa on the plane on our way to NC. There were a few stares but it was worth it. Continue making the best kielbasa. BTW: both my parents grew up in Poland, so I know of what I speak.”

“There are a few butcher shops on authur ave but for me this is my favorite. This place will literally do whatever you want them to do to a cut of meat. They also carry things like duck, lamb, rabbit, quail, and a few other more exotic meats if you're into that kind of stuff. Great place and make sure you ask for Jimmy he is a true professional!”
“My dad has been taking me here since I was a little girl, They used to have another location (W-Nassau) on 61 St. in Maspeth, we used to go there too. This place is a go-to for their stuffed cabbage and Kielbasa (Krajana has always been our favorite). Whenever we visit family, my dad would bring the stuffed cabbage from here, it’s a family favorite. They also have great deli cuts, I included a photo of a ham I picked up. You can also come here for farmer’s cheese, butter, babka and other sweets, and pantry staples like pickled items, and jarred salads. There’s also seasoning and flour, the exact flour I tried to find in Poland but found it here instead!”
“Went there to try 족발, pig's feet for take out. Paid 3 dollars more to get medium for 20. Generous portions and really tasty. This will be my "go to" place when I have a craving for it.”
