Do yourself a favor and throw out your menu.... They called us back 3 times to tell us the soup was out, after telling us they had a particular soup. Then they never gave us the soup they changed the order too. They missed 1 entire meal order plus 2 orders of soup. The salads were greatly over dressed. They didn't have anything on the menu. They also never told us they are closing as reported on Yelp.

The pizza is great and the staff is friendly. They have outside seating when the weather is accommodating. The crust was light and crispy with plenty of sauce cheese and toppings. They have a great selection of ready-made pies for people who want a slice on the go.

Went back today after my last visit to give them a second try. I had gotten a grilled chicken salad and when I came back to work there was a long black hair in it. I called and spoke to girl at register and she said no worries I am sorry we will take care of you next time. I went on to my online banking and noticed that there was 2 charges on 2 separate days for the same amount of the salad. I called and spoke with the owner Alex and he said I am so sorry and said please come back and we will take care of you. I went back today with my coworker and there was no one in the place. I explained to the nice young man (only reason it got 2 stars) what happened and he was again apologizing for it and then the pizza guy gets involved and starts getting loud with me saying he needs proof. I said call your owner cause I have already spoken to him. He proceeds to walk away and help another patron and the nice kid comes from the back and says I just spoke to my boss and whatever you want is on us. A grouchy old man starts to make our grilled chicken salads and literally just throwing stuff in the salad. I said oh sorry no olives in them and now he starts getting nasty saying oh well that's not a house salad then and wow your picky. I said I ordered 2 grilled chicken salads. Now after his nasty attitude my coworker and I look at each other and we are completely disgusted by how we are being treated. I won't even go into the fact that the pizza guy is now screaming at the nice boy behind register and a customer cause they gave the other customers pizza away to someone else. I will never return back as I don't need to be treated so disrespectfully by a restaurant where I am spending money.

Tried this again. Ordered take out (I live down the street). Pizza wasn't hot, sauce tasted funny. Salad was ok but the vegetables should be chopped more. Mozzarella sticks were the largest sticks I ever saw. The breading around them was at least 1/4" thick ,they were too big in my opinion and didn't taste good. The mozzarella inside was cold, cheese didn't even melt at all. Also ordered rice balls one very large ball and one mini ball both were cold inside. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Disappointed. They need to cook/heat their food properly.

Never had the best pizza, but was always a great place for dinner dishes such as chicken parm and lunch dishes such as wraps. Not sure what happened in the past year +, but their dressings changed, and the size and quality of their wraps decreased. The last time I had ordered, they forgot to include the protein in my wrap, and insisted that I had forgotten to mention it. Not only did I have witnesses around me as I placed he order over the phone that confirmed that I had in fact said it, but why would I just order a wrap with lettuce and cheese?! Upset to see what they once were close, but very disappointed in what they had become.

Was a pretty regular customer for many years and then had to stop getting food here. This is a review is an example of how you lose a loyal customer. I read the " not recommended" review attached to this place and the owner doesn't understand why people don't want to talk to them about complaints. This may clear it up. I'd stop in here for lunch and dinner a few times a week, it was quick and easy. Was one of those places you didn't really have to think about too much to go and get food. The more I went, the more comfortable the owners got with me. Sideways looks, a smirk, staring off exacerbated at a question I asked, became more common. "It's alright, the foods OK, they do right by me"... That's what i would say as I walked out. One day, I stop in and there are individual sliced sandwiches up on the display counter. I ordered the sandwich and a Cesar salad. I've never seen pre-made "deli" style sandwiches here before, it has to be good. Right? After I placed the order I knew something was up but, didn't think anything of it. The sandwich was obviously left overs from the weekend, the tomato had that "tin foil" taste to it, bread was mushy from being defrosted. The Cesar salad dressing was disgustingly gloppy and uneatable. Now, I usually don't order out anywhere on Monday's because I feel they push left overs from the weekend on you that day of the week. But, as someone who was easily spending $65 a week in one restaurant in a strip mall I kind of expected the owners to look out for me. They knew my name, they knew what I typically ate, they knew how to run my card thru the register.. Maybe say " I'd get something else" But, no, they gladly handed me my bag and didn't say a word. That was the last day I ever went into The Pizza Factory/Old Tappan Pizza or would spend a dime there. This last incident was the final offense. To be honest the food is OK, I gave it 2 starts for the food alone. Everything else that comes with it isn't worth the aggravation. So, to answer the question, "why doesn't anyone talk to the owners?" Simple. People vote with their money. I don't need the hassle of getting attitude over a bad lunch with someone trying to " alpha male" me or giving attitude because I have a comment or complaint. I'll just move along to the next place.

If you stick with the pizza you'll be safe - just make sure they give you the correct one - we received the wrong one twice. Ordered a meatball parm hero another time that only had 1.5 meatballs for the whole sandwich and it was nasty!

An employee of Old Tappan Pizza gave my co-workers and I free food for being late with our order and then proceeded to say that we should never order from them again. After we received and ate our free food, the manager came to our place of business to harass us for the money we "owed" for the free food. Apparently, the employee who gave us the free food was not authorized to do so. Well, now everyone at my job knows about what happened and will never order from Old Tappan Pizza again.

This place is awesome. Favorite lunch place in the area. Delicious fresh slices, reasonable prices, generous portions, great staff. All staff are very personable, I'm on a first name basis with everyone. Not from the area, I've tried about 10 pizza places in the area, this is by far my favorite! Love the veggie slices! 4 bucks for premium toppings slices, can't go wrong!

Great subs and decent pizza. Everything I have ever had here has been good. Amazing homemade bread for subs and amazing house dressing for salads. I recommend the meatball sub!

The pizza crust was so thin & crispy...delish. I added a ton of oregano & hot seeds....& I was in my glory!!! My only regret was that I didn't order a loaf of Italian bread & macaroni to go. I can't wait until I am in the area again to MANGIA!!!!
