Apparently this is a "signature" location so if you have a "core" or "base" memberships (which are the only two options offered in my area) you can't work out here unless you pay their daily fee of $10.. sorry Crunch, I love my Philly location, but this is absurd and should be revised to either be a lower fee for "core" members or no fee with limited visits and amenities to work out at Crunch.

All of my friends recently made the switch to attend this gym so that’s what made me originally want to get a membership here. I went online and signed up for the $30 a month membership (plus enrollment fee). Upon arriving I sign in with the scanner like any normal gym. I walk around for a bit, find my friend, and eventually set my stuff down on the bench press. I’m warming up and not even 5 minutes into my workout an employee came up to me and asked me to come to the front desk. Now, I had read that new members get a photo taken so I assumed that’s what he wanted, wrong. He asked me how old I was and I replied “17”. Apparently they have a rule where you can’t work out if you are under 18 but you can still buy a membership for “maturity and safety reasons”. Here’s my first issue, the tone which the employees spoke to me in, after I had asked them if there was any way around the rule (such an outlandish idea I know). The employees became short with me and seemed mad that I was asking questions. They asked me to leave, and I was respectful and left. I leave, and as I’m in the parking lot, my second issue arises. I find my car being blocked in by the “mature” and “safe” 18 year olds who are doing burnouts and revving their cars. The same gym that won’t let a respectful 17 year old in allows that kind of behavior to happen on their property(insanely hypocritical). These are genuine critiques, I hope someone listens. Aside from that, the 5 minutes I was in the gym were pretty enjoyable. They also have a good selection of machines. This rating is purely based off my experience not the gym. Thanks.

Being charged for a membership and not being able to bring a guest, charging somebody who has a membership at another Crunch an extra $20 to use the Marlboro location, having to be charged extra to use tanning and other amenities on top of a membership that I’m paying for, the pool being closed for a large chunk of the day when there’s not even somebody there lifeguarding the pool to begin with. Overall, I’m paying a membership and I’m being nickel-and-dimed every time I try to come to the gym. It is really uncomfortable and really wrong. Not to mention the amount of classes offered and hours and avalibility of them are so low complaired to all other locations honestly I don’t see the hype about this location. I'd rather drive the extra few minutes to go to a different one because of the way this one is run.

I had a bad experience with them. I don’t know if he’s the manager or what his name is Joe. he changed me extra money for an extra month. he told me to get the 20 percent discount it makes more sense that I pay $180 to get $20 discount. that’s a trick. It’s not about the money it’s the way he acted to get the extra money from me

I went in with my girlfriend to use the 3 day free trial like advertised online for this exact location and the manager Todd had a problem with me on the second day and asked for $20 to use the gym. Huge waste of time and he said “why don’t you just go to planet fitness, don’t you have a membership there?” I can’t believe a manager would tell someone trying out the gym to go use another gym because I told him I had a membership at another gym the first day we spoke. I cannot believe he is a manager there. I would have gotten a membership after the trial honestly but he rolled his eyes at me and had an issue with literally just feeling out the gym. This gym is a joke the machines are nice but the manager acted like he personally owed the machines just because I wasn’t interested in a membership after the first day. Very unprofessional my girlfriend canceled her membership after witnessing what happened. When I went to my other gym and a few workers had a similar experience with him and had to call their banks to not charge them after they already cancelled because he had a problem with them canceling/using the trial LIKE ADVERTISED on the website. Will never ever go to any crunch fitness gyms in the future. The other lady was very nice with helping her cancel her membership though.

This place is discriminatory towards members like me who are ethnically from a different culture and somehow seem to be promoting favoritism. My membership was canceled as I was told I was in possession of stolen property which isn’t true at all. The management just decided without seeking any clarification and I think I’m being victimized due to my ethnicity and background. Very disappointed

Chris, the GM, awkwardly walks around the Men's locker room naked. Very uncomfortable and also, struts around with his pet dog on the gym floor next to people exercising and equipment. Very unsanitary.

Overall, I'm liking Crunch. There's plenty of equipment and machines and the fitness classes are really nice to have. Kim is an excellent class teacher and I really enjoy her classes. The locker rooms are always clean, but the gym floor is not as clean as other gyms I've been to. People do not clean equipment after using and there isn't a lot of wipes or cleaning stations available. I've also noticed some dust around machines.

Shake bar & eateries are closed 30 min before close. Does not make sense, seems like gym is not focused on customer needs
gym does not sell the pre made food which is ready, same 30 min pre closing issu. Shouldn't be a lot of work to bill a product. Does not make sense
