I purchased a boat just before the 4th ok July. They delivered it and put it in Lake Mohawk and my family enjoy the fireworks from the boat. At the end of the season they hauled it out of the lake and stored it for the Winter. Just before the next boating season they sold it for me at the same price paid for it. It was a great experience.

Amazing people, amazing service! I even had a situation where I had to cancel and installation. They were extremely understanding and helped me and my family through it all. I will not go anywhere else, highly recommend them to anybody!

I just had a positive experience at a boat service center! I brought my boat in couple of days ago to have a job done on my Yamaha outboard. Danforth gave me a price estimate and a time estimate for how long they expected it to take. Today they called me back and let me know it was ready for pickup. The price matched their estimate, as well as the estimated time it would take. The service manager Scott, was super helpful in showing the work that they did! All in all a great first experience with Danforth!

Brought my plow in that was damaged from hitting a telephone pole. There was two problems with it and I only noticed one which was the reason I went there. The second reason was that the frame was no longer square meaning the plow won’t ever plow ever again. Instead of informing me of that, they decided to put a new line on it anyways.

Bought my plow here about 7 or 8 years ago. Every time I've needed help, they've been great. They fit me in late in the day before a storm for a quick electrical issue and the fix worked perfectly. They are reasonably priced and open throughout big storms which is very helpful to avoid unplanned downtime while plowing.

Bought brand new Fisher plow just over 1 year ago. For the record this is used for my own personal driveway and not commercially. First time I used it the left/driver side piston fitting leaked like a super-soaker was spraying my driveway and the only way to get my driveway done was to stop and add fluid every 15 minutes so the reservoir wouldn't run dry. Upon original pick up Mechanics or owner never showed me the proper way to install/remove plow-picked it up near closing time guess it was too much trouble for them to stay 10 minutes to show me the proper mounting/dismounting procedure. Needless to say the next time I tried to install the plow took me over an hour with jacks, crowbars and hammers and 2 other sets of hands just to get it on. The owners manual wasn't very helpful and yes I am mechanically/literally competent I was a licensed general contractor for many years. Brought plow back for repair and waited 2+ hours in lobby for a fitting repair. Took plow home and the same fitting started leaking badly again with first use after "repair." Guess it wasn't field tested (that would make too much sense). Brought it back to them and actually dropped it off this time since I didn't have hours to kill in the lobby. Took almost a week to get a call it was finished. Two snowstorms later the same fitting again stared pissing fluid all over the driveway. Brought back AGAIN and mechanic said the "O-ring" had gotten crushed so was replaced. Used for 2 more storms on personal 150’ flat, paved driveway (only-no additional jobs) for remainder of winter and put away seemingly...and finally?.. working like it should. Fast forward to this winter- mounted back on truck with storm on the way and used with this first snow of the year (12/3/19) and “surprise” same hydraulic fitting pissing all over driveway during maiden use for this winter. By now my patience was thin. Called owner, left message for a call back and have yet to hear from anyone it is now 12/5/19. Originally went to Danforth's because I “thought” they knew their business and were good at what they do. Big mistake. After dropping almost 5K guess I'll either figure out how to fix it myself or find another competent dealer. I wouldn’t recommend this outfit to anyone- their workmanship and customer service sucks. As a successful business owner for over 15 years I know good business practices-quality work, communication and common decency is what sustains a successful business. STAY FAR AWAY FROM Danforth's in Ogdensburg , NJ unless maybe you want to buy a boat? You will regret doing business with this amateur outfit. Find another quality plow sales/installation dealer at all costs there are many in NNJ area. Sorry for the very long post but the truth hurts and should be told accurately for anyone considering using them for snowplows. Would give zero stars if review interface would allow the only thing they did well was take my money.

My experience when I go to Danforth is always good

I deeply regret buying a boat from Danforth's. Both the sales group and the marina are a nightmare. And I can't even recommend a single employee as their "saving grace." As another reviewer said, everything went well during the purchasing process - but as soon as they had my money, that all changed. They do not deliver on their promises. They do shoddy work. Whatever timeframe they give you for something - add many many weeks to that AND expect to have to chase them for that information, AND to then be told with an arrogant, nasty, indignant attitude. I'm convinced the only reason they're still in business is because they are the only marina on Lake Mohawk and people (like me) just don't know any better to go someplace else. I dread calling them when I need something dealer-related for my boat. I've actually considered selling my boat and buying a different brand, just so I never have to deal with them again. Avoid at all costs.

We had a great experience doing business with Scott. He went out of his way to make sure you were happy with our Sweetwater pontoon boat purchase from ordering to delivering into marina slip. Very trustworthy!
