44 1/2, Main Ave, Ocean Grove“Super cute local book store with many options. One of my favorite things at a book store is when they do “Blind Date With A Book”. This store does that! Also has some items other than books. Has a back reading area i assume is for children. Super cute. They sell used books. You can donate books too but they aren’t accepting any as of this post”
“Just a gem of a book store in the heart of Pt Pleasant...Kelly and her staff are warm friendly and helpful...grab a cup of coffee or tea now available from Shore Pour...perfect together relax ...enjoy ...you'll be back”

621 Cookman Ave, Asbury Park“We love to visit Asbury Park, and it just wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Paranormal Tower! The shop itself is always filled with interesting books and accoutrements, staff is friendly and informative, and their events are first rate! This visit, we decided to take the museum tour. We’ve never done it before, so we were quite excited. Our tour guide Sarah was amazing! She was an absolute fount of information, and she had so many fun anecdotes to share, as well! The tour was well-paced- we never lingered too long, but we were also never rushed. There’s quite a lot to see there, as well! My son’s favorite part was an authentic plague mask. I really enjoyed the Ed Warren painting, the Annabelle painting, and the doll collection. There’s definitely something for everyone from those interested in the paranormal, to those interested in history itself.
Location: easily located on Cookman Ave with plenty of parking all around the block. Store front is on a sidewalk, and the door to the shop is wheelchair accessible. I am not certain that the museum is- I recommend calling in advance.
Prices: the tour is for 1-6 people and runs about $120. Even for just we two- it was more than worth it, and it comes with 10% off purchases in the shop, which we thoroughly took advantage of, as well.
Overall- definitely recommend!!!”
“Amazing experience at Thunder Road books on Small Business Saturday. It's so refreshing to visit a legitimate mom & pop bookstore. The service was incredibly personal and the whole staff's passion for books was so clearly evident. The store itself is very intimate and beautifully designed. They have a great staff recommendation list which was excellent to use for Christmas gifts and they were super helpful when I inquired about a hard to find book I was interested in. The owner himself got involved with the search! They could not have been any more polite and hospitable. The small size and personal touches are what makes this local business one I will visit again and recommend to others. Bonus points for all the great Danny Clinch photos on the walls!!!”

171 Main St, Manasquan“Love Booktowne. Our family has eclectic tastes in books and Booktowne never fails to have something interesting. And if they don't have it, they are more than happy to order it. Such a great thing to have a local bookstore in this day and age.”
“Was nice. Went for a graduation. Only issue. Whomever is the person that videos for the tv above should concentrate when giving diplomas on each student and not zoom out so parent ot friend cant see. All the students are the ones that worked hard and deserve to be seen”
“Ok, I'm sold!! This place is amazing. I appreciate all they have to offer. Kids left with some toys and animal spirits stones. I refilled on my sage. Can't wait till I get home and cleanse the house. And the wife and I and my youngest daughter picked up some bracelets, I was saying I needed a Labradorite bracelet. Thank you Earth spirit. I'll be back for Christmas presents and maybe a tarot reading, hehehe. If you are into this kind of stuff like I am, this is a great stop in Redbank.”
“I have been going to Ocean Grove for vacation for several years now. I make it a point to visit the Comfort Zone on every trip. I love there selection of children's books and toys. I recently asked about a book I was looking for about the shark attacks on the Jersey Shore back in 1916. The owner of the store knew exactly what I was looking for but it was out of stock. He got on the phone and ordered for me. When it came in he called and sent to me. There items and products for every thing imaginable. I will be stopping by next year for sure. Marty H.
