Great selection of swimsuits, I’ve shopped here multiple times over the years - only complaint is the service, one of the employees spoke a bit rudely to me when I didn’t want to try on suit, also she had just been strongly lecturing another one of the employees for being gone too long and told her she was going to get fired if she continued to do things like that.
I understand frustrations, but doing it in the store infront of customers made it feel like a hostile environment and then I felt that because both employees were upset they projected those feelings onto their interactions with us (the customers)

My daughter and I stopped in on this extremely hot day today to buy two tank tops. We just had been to a surf shop that we passed before your shop and it was ridiculously hot inside so we walked out. When we came to Separately Swimwear we were greeted by a VERY nice woman! I told her about my experience at the last place and she sympathized then explained that the owner likes her customers to feel comfortable in a cooler store while shopping. We couldn't have been more appreciative! We bought a few shirts and went on our way. THANK YOU!

The store manager was amazing! She heard my frustration about the woes of swim suit shopping in your 30s and was not only knowledgeable, but helpful with color selection! I found the perfect top in a reasonable time. Although this store has sizes and styles for all ages, I appreciated the variety for my body concerns. Also, the triangle tops are much sturdier than any store I’ve never seen! Go!

Based on the customer service by the woman with the shoulder length dark hair, I'd not recommend this store. There's a sign that says no drinks, but to leave your drinks on the counter.When you walk in there's no counter visible because it turns out it's blocked from immediate sight by clothes. I walked in with my drink looking for the counter. I turned my neck (those words are key) as I got through the threshold, but was still on the doormat. Before I could set foot onto the actual floor I was greeted by a hostile woman saying I can't bring my drink in the store. I matched her while letting her know the sign says put your drinks on the counter so that's what I was trying to do. She argued that I was trying to shop when in fact I was looking for the counter so I rebutted how do you expect me to use the counter if you didn't even give me a chance to look for it or even ask her where it.Then she conceded by "letting me" go to the counter. I told her that I don't want to shop there anymore. However, I did purposely look at the sunglasses right by the door just to be a tad bothersome ?Maybe she'll be nicer to the next person ?

Mary was so nice & helpful when my mother and I went here last week! We’ve been coming down to ocean city from NYC on vacation for 20 years, and for the last 6 or 7 we come to separately for bathing suits. This is the only store I buy bathing suits from, we go down the one time and buy like 5 or 6 pairs from them, all long lasting quality. I have a bigger build on top and smaller build on bottom, so their wide selection of sizes/colors/designs make shopping here not only easy, but fun! The girls helped me out big time by bringing me more suit selections to try on based on what I already chose. I’d 10000% recommend going here for any and all of your bathing suit needs!! :)

The store manager is extremely helpful & courteous to customers as well as staff. The store is clean, we’ll organized; atmosphere inviting. Bathing suits & apparel are reasonably priced. Separately Swimwear is my favorite destination on the Jersey shore for my family’s beach attire!

Extremely mean owner & overpriced items. I just went in to buy a pair of shoes but as I was checking out, the owner came back over and made a huge spectacle of the fact that I had dripped some water on the floor (I was just swimming and my hair wasn’t completely dry). I apologized profusely but she continued to make a big deal of it, asking if I had any idea how much work I’d caused for her because now she’d have to mop the water (?) on the floor and screaming to other employees to grab a mop & guard the door to warn people not to slip. We’re talking about a couple of drops here; I was completely dry except for my hair. It w as absurd. Several other customers were uncomfortable with the outburst and left. I was so flustered, I stayed just long enough to pay for $30 shoes and the entire time I was paying, she continued to belittle me and ask how I could be so disrespectful, how could I do that, etc even as I continued apologizing and giving her business! I’ve never experienced anything quite like it. There are several shops with similar items very close to this one; I highly recommend going elsewhere.

Really disappointed with the customer service and return policy. I bought over $250 Monday and could not exchange 2 children's bathing suits that did not fit. The attitude of the clerk today was so dismissive. After three shopping trips here the last month and many over my lifetime not what I expect from repeat customer.

After spending hundreds of dollars in this store over the past few months, I went to return a child's bathing suit with the tags on it 24 hours after purchase. Only to be met by a rude clerk who kept cutting me off and was rather hostile. No store credit or anything was given for the suit. The return policy, blamed on Covid, does not make sense. Either does the hostile nature of the customer service representative. I was beyond dissapointed.
