Adorable boutique, but unfortunately after being closely followed by a worker throughout the store the entire 3 minutes I was trying to shop I quickly decided it was not worth it (mind you I was NOT the only one in the store but the only one being followed). I also walked into the store with not even a handbag on me, just a debit card in my back pocket as my husband was at the entrance with our child and stroller - I am not only a resident but have been walking tne OCNJ boards my entire life. so to be followed that closely and to feel as uncomfortable as I did was absolutely ridiculous and I will NEVER recommend that experience or store to anyone.

The people are soo sweet there. I got a maxi dress and a kimono there and they were wonderful. A little on the expensive side, but if you don't mind that, it's PERFECT!!

I love going here, even if I don't end up buying anything, I visit every time that I come to OC. But like the older reviews stated, you're kind of just ignored even when you're ready to checkout. I was standing behind one of the employees for about two minutes as they were chatting over the counter & they finally asked if I was ready to be checked out. While I understand that conversations sort of just happen, to not even notice that you have people waiting is another thing. I still love going there though!!

I've purchased some of my favorite handbags and clothing here for 20 years and this year was no exception.Not a typical boardwalk store, I love their quality apparel. I check my cellphone for pricing on their shoes as they are often available closer to home for less.

I've gone the the Islander a few times over the past couple of years and gotten some nice things. The clothes seem overpriced to me, though I have found a cute dress or two in the past, and they have held up well. I think the best section is the home goods/ gift section. They have some cute, reasonably priced items like wall hangings, candles, and decorative dishes. I got a $4 ring dish this year. It is a good place to shop for little gifts. We did have an odd experience this year. My mom and I were carrying around some decorative dishes (one each) we wanted to get while we kept looking, and employee walked up to us and asked if she could please hold them at the register. I think some stores along the boardwalk are having trouble with shoplifting, but the interaction was a bit uncomfortable.

Wandering around the Boardwalk on a beautiful fall day, we stumbled across this place. It's really adorable - lots of items that are one of a kind or that are not typically found in chain box stores. It was not too crowded inside and the displays were very pretty. Great place to pick up a gift for someone.

The service is horrible but they have the cutest juniors fashions. Their shoes are adorable but note-they are available for much less at other stores online. Be a smart shopper and use your cellphone when you fall in love with something here. You will definitely find it for less somewhere else.That being said, if you can fit their junior sizes, you may well take home one of your favorite pieces of clothing. I bought a skirt here 11 years ago that I still treasure.

Wow. Really disappointed with the service here. Walked in here mildly interested in buying some more masks with friends while on vacation and was FOLLOWED around by a teenage employee and overheard the manager on duty say that we should be “detailed.” This made me feel extremely uncomfortable shopping and so I didn’t buy anything in the end even though the mask options they had were really cute. No one even asked me if I needed help finding anything or offered any type of customer service!
