Rude employees, specifically the older two women working. RUDE MANAGER! OLDER LADY WITH PEPPERY GRAY HAIR.She told my daughter to put the 3 pieces of clothes she had back on the hangers herself while it's her job and she had nothing else to do. She also saw us being in a rush. When I told her we were never asked to do that before anywhere else she responded "I like the clothes to be respected"...This lady needs to get properly trained at customer service!

Clothes are cute, however they are very expensive and the quality of the clothing is very cheap. when trying on my clothes half of them are either broken or have a stain on them. Also, the manager is a rude old lady. She is always bossing the workers around and doesn't even give her customers the time of day. When I was in there today I also heard her making a racist comment to one of the cashiers saying how all of the asian people always buy from the sale rack. For her to be saying this to young women makes her a bad influence and creates a toxic workplace

Will not be returning back this boutique. The store manager an older woman with grey hair was incredibly rude as I went to try on an item. Additionally, the pricing of the clothing did not appear to match the quality. Most of the garments were comprised of polyester, poor fabrics, felt cheap, and were made in china. These items felt like something that could be purchased on Amazon. If your willing to spend around this price point for a quality item Anthropologie, free people, etc. are much better options quality and service wise. Customer service was terrible and the managers behavior with was inappropriate and distasteful.

Worst service I have ever received in a store. Older woman, brownish-grey hair, probably the store owner or manager, was so incredibly disrespectful to me when I asked just a simple question to another worker. She rudely interrupted, and yelled at me in front of everyone in the store. If I could give 0 stars I would. Would not recommend shopping here if you're looking for a positive shopping experience!!!

I have been visiting this store with my teenage daughter every summer for the past 4 years now. I have always found the staff/managers to be uppity but my daughter liked the clothes so we spent our money here despite the attitudes of the workers. This year, my daughter, who is now 19, went shopping on her own prepared to make a large purchase and maybe the staff didn’t think she was actually going to buy anything or didn’t take her seriously because one of the workers was so rude and dismissive toward her that she left on the verge of tears. We will never go back to this store and the staff/management should learn to value and show respect toward the customers that keep them in business.

I am a local here in Ocean City, I have to say I have been going in this store for a while now and never have a good experience! The manager Linda is very rude and makes me feel like I'm stealing whenever I'm in there which I can promise you I'm not! All the girls there are miserable and the clothes are over priced and wash terrible! I do love the jeans that's about it ! But as far as the people working there especially the manager makes me not want to shop there ever again! Hopefully you can find someone for next summer that is a little more pleasant and put together to run your store !! Thank you

I would give them a 0 star if I could. My daughter bought a sweater with a hole in it and took off the tag to wear on the boardwalk, I noticed before leaving and we went back immediately to exchange it. They refused to exchange the item and the Manager was extremely rude about it. Surprised a store would not want to honor their products. I wish I read the reviews before I let her shop here, they are selling damaged products on a daily basis. I recommend you don't ever shop at Island Gypsy. Buyer beware!

adorable store!! so many adorable things and the store is huge. it’s a little hard to spot when it’s your first time visiting as the store seems to be in a old bank. there is only 2 cashiers and there is a line most of the time. also not many fitting rooms so there is a line when it is busy. nice and helpful employees, and the store is clean.

The elderly woman that works sales should probably find a new profession. Extremely ignorant and is bothered by every potential customer. I honestly believe she works there just to have people to yell at everyday. Not sure about the quality as my girls were scared off before they could buy anything. Happy ending, there’s multiple stores near them that are HAPPY to take our money.?

Have been many times and bought a bunch of stuff each time. I gave it one last chance this past Saturday and NEVER again!! The owner is incredibly angry and rude. I have worked in Retail my entire life and not a single customer of mine would have EVER tolerated her behavior. I guess she is lucky she’s the boss. All of these terrible reviews and yet she remains a nasty person.

Dont shop here! Owners are always rude. Purchased 100$ outfit wore it one time and had rips all over the butt area i went in to return and the owner was cocky and rude to me and didn't even want to fix the problem simply told me i couldn't return it because the tags weren't attached. Mind you i had the tags and the receipt but i guess she just felt like being a j**** Don't give ur money to these people instead of fixing the issue and have a returning customer they chose not to help me out.

I have been going into the store in OC since it opened, because the clothes are cute. However, the staff- specifically the older woman who I assume manages the store is consistently so rude to customers. I had a lot of things I was about to purchase last week and had to leave the store after receiving more snarky remarks. So many other stores with cute things and better sales team members on the block!

I visited this store twice while on vacation in Ocean City. I wasn’t greeted or offered any help either time I was in there. The older woman (I think the owner) was incredibly rude. She was clearly miserable and taking it out on innocent customers who were kindly shopping around. My sister bought a two piece set for nearly $100. She put it on one night and only wore it for 1 hour before one of the buttons on the top popped off. She took it back the next day and the older woman told her they wouldn’t take it back, even though she had the receipt. For the price and quality, and the poor customer service, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. Hopefully the owner realizes that being rude is no way to run a successful business.
