“We loved our stay at Ocean City Mansion. We only stayed one night, but Nancy (the owner and innkeeper) is awesome and very easy to communicate and coordinate with. I also met her cute puppy. Nancy also had a surprise in our room! The location is great and the hotel is historic, so set your expectations properly on what it means to stay at a historic boutique hotel versus a chain hotel. It was a wonderful, memorable experience, and the room itself (we stayed in the Royalty Room), while small, was lovely, unique, and eclectic. For example, there's a pedestal sink on either side of the bathroom wall - one inside, and one outside in the bedroom. Weird but interesting, and also convenient with 2 people in the room and not having to wait for a sink. It also had a small balcony. There were some bananas, oranges, strawberries, and packaged snacks plus coffee for breakfast, which was a pleasant surprise. Parking was easy: it was free street parking directly in front of the hotel. We went the weekend before Memorial Day so it was less crowded (both in the hotel and for parking). I don't know what it's like for later in the summer, but there's also a free municipal parking lot that's just a few minutes walk from the hotel. There is literally not a single negative thing I can say about this place. Pay attention to the walls, paintings, and memorabilia as you go up the stairs to your room (as well as in the main lobby): there is history (and musical instruments) everywhere, and you can see some tiny detail that you didn't notice before every single time. It seems like the dog policy is very strict and thorough (probably for good reason), but I don't have any direct experience with that since we didn't bring a dog. The check-in instructions were clear in the email she sent out beforehand, and you can even check in if she is not available, if needed. There's no check-in "desk", per se. It's like a big house.Overall, it was probably the nicest stay I've ever had at a historic hotel, that I can remember. And it's mostly because of Nancy and how kind and cool she is.Thanks for the memories!”

“My bf and I stayed here for MDW. It was in the absolute most perfect location, our room was phenomenal, clean, and the perfect size for us too. The owners were so nice, caring, and flexible with us and allowed for an early check-in, and they insured we have everything we need. This is the first time we stayed, and it certainly will not be the last! You can’t beat the location and you also can’t beat the price. What a hidden gem that more people need you discover, if you’re looking for a place to stay and you read this review, please don’t think twice and make sure you book!”

“From the moment we first toured The Flanders Hotel in Ocean City, NJ, we knew we had found something special for our wedding. The stunning charm and elegance of the venue took our breath away, and it only got better from there.

Lisa and Molly were an absolute dream team throughout our planning process. They took care of every detail, answered all our questions, and truly went above and beyond to ensure our vision came to life. Their dedication and warmth made us feel at ease every step of the way.

We all know that wedding costs can be outrageous, but The Flanders Hotel stands out as one of the best venues for service and quality of food. On our wedding day, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was nothing short of amazing—our guests are still raving about the cocktail hour and dinner! Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious, showcasing the incredible culinary talent at The Flanders. The decor of this beautiful, eclectic and antique hotel really shined that day.

Additionally, the hotel staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful to both me and my groom, as well as our hotel guests. They made everyone feel welcomed and ensured that all our needs were met.

The entire experience was unforgettable, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting for our special day. We wholeheartedly recommend The Flanders Hotel for anyone looking for a remarkable wedding venue. Thank you, Lisa and Molly, for making our dreams come true!”

“I was very impressed with my stay at The Beach Club Hotel. It’s one of the few hotels that’s actually right on the boardwalk/beach, which is a major plus for me. I came here for a late season beach weekend trip and I was surprised to find this hotel was one of the cheapest in Ocean City for that particular weekend. One of the highlights of the hotel is their large pool in front that can be seen from the boardwalk. There’s also a good restaurant for breakfast and lunch that I would recommend. The room itself was quite spacious, clean, comfortable, and included everything one would need. The only issue is that the wifi signal was quite weak in my particular room, though I know it’s not like that throughout most of the hotel. Besides that minor fixable issue, I had a great, relaxing weekend at The Beach Club Hotel. This is the place to stay for a true Ocean City experience.”

“Housekeeping service is not every day anymore. Rooms are being slowly renovated to a more updated feel, but the furniture needs to be next. Sofa-bed was not great. But you can't beat the location.”

“This is a very nice hotel. It's clean. It has a heated pool with a great view. You can set on the balcony at night and see the Boardwalk lit up...so beautiful. It is within walking distance to the Boardwalk. The rooms are spacious. I would definitely recommend. An added bonus there's an Ice cream stand on the corner and a restaurant close by.”

“Small, historic rooms! Definitely dated. Great location and with an acai place right outside the door. Parking is limited and will cost $20 per day, or i think they offer 3-day weekend package aswell.”

“Beautiful hotel and great location. This is probably the nicest hotel I've stayed at for the Jersey shore. Really nice room. We were lucky to get an end room, so it had a huge wrap around balcony. The pool was small, but my kids still had a blast in it.
We didn't have any trouble with the automatic blinds like others had mentioned. There's only one elevator which was far from our room, but at least it was quiet. We selected a partial ocean view room which was on the side furthest way from the roller coster, so we didn't hear it at night. There was some street noise but not too bad. I also found the staff to be very pleasant.
The bed was good but a couple of the pillows a little musty. That's the only item that could be replaced.”

“Location, location, location. What a great spot! Located right in the heart of the boardwalk. Walkable to dozens of restaurants. The staff is super friendly, rooms are very clean, and there's always something to do. You can't get bored here! It is pricey, however, such is the case with the location. Definitely worth paying what we paid for this hotel. It has a lot of history and they certainly make use of the space provided for as old as the building is. We booked last minute and took a shot. It didn't disappoint. I loved the parking situation. We were able to park in the lot that borders the hotel. From here, we could quickly grab our sand toys for the kids, chairs for us, and odds and ends and head up to the beach. I noticed a sign about future luxury condos going there?????? I'm not sure how that would have an affect on parking or where we would park. I'll be curious in finding out. I love how it is now. I'll be disappointed if that convenience of parking changes. The only other negative, is a lack of balconies. Only a few rooms have them. It would be nice while at the beach. Over all, excellent experience!”

“This is an amazing and affordable motel right by the boardwalk. I stayed here with my 2 kids and they loved the heated pool. The shower was very nice but it (and the sink) gets very hot. There were not many towels but they gave us more when we requested them. There were very bright lights outside the room at night. It comes with a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Overall a great experience.”

“Excellent location for going to the beach and close to many food places.Shower had good water pressure and the hotel provided shampoo/conditioner was nice.Tv is of a decent size and put in a logical spot and worked right! (One of my biggest pet peeves typically)Only negative was they did not provide breakfast or vending of any form. All in all, I'd come here again.Walkability: Close to many restaurants. Short walk to the beach/boardwalk.”

“Honestly the reviews people post about this place are just dramatic...we had a blast! Yes the room was small but we had no issues and the staff was actually very friendly. We cooked out on the grill next to the pool one night for dinner, they had free coffee in the lounge area and the location was perfect! Only a 2 block walk to the beach and boardwalk and a ton of restaurants close by. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking to save money that is booking a weekend trip to the beach. I would go back again. Thank you to the friendly staff for assisting us with whatever we needed:-)”
