KAREN AUSTIN IS THE WORST. SHE REALLY MESSED UP MY BUSINESS ACCOUNTS. AWFUL! However the other manger at Oakland is a nice guy and that’s why I gave it two star instead of one.

I have been using the Valley bank in Oakland for many, many years. I have had super positive experiences with all of the staff. I recently had a major fraud issue with another company and they helped me every step of the way. I have never had a negative experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had a disappointing experience with this bank branch. I encountered various issues with Karen Austin who is supposedly the manager, very rude no understanding of customer service, and the overall service did not meet my expectations. I will go out my way and go to the Ramsey branch (way better service!) I will never step foot in this branch till she is removed !

One of the worst bank managers alive no decent way of saying it she is very rude and she does not know how to talk to people I don’t know who made her a bank manager but hr and Karen ( a very true Karen ) should be fired instantly.

Valley Bank is trying to charge me $1,240 for an auto insurance policy while falsely claiming that the vehicle was uninsured. I've provided the bank and its associates detailed documentation on more than one occasion to no avail. Valley seems to be competing with Wells Fargo for worst bank of the year award.

Do NOT try to do coin exchange or pretty much any other service with VNB. The women working at this particular location are so unexplainably rude and misleading.Any time I walk in to cash checks, I always have the misfortune of having to deal with the same rude woman who always looks like she's on the verge of punching someone and angrily and wordlessly completes my transaction before throwing the money envelope back at me through the window's bottom slot. I came here the other day to exchange coins for cash, and asked a different female clerk about 4 times before she'd answer if I could exchange the coins. She said yes, but didn't deign to tell me about the service charge of 5%. I helped them load the coins (pretty much did ALL the work for counting the coins while the other female clerks who were supposed to be doing it just stared at me) and then was told that I would have 5% deducted. I asked why they didn't tell me this AT THE START, and they were so awfully rude, I've decided to close my account at this bank since and open one at PNC. Helpful tip: PNC does coin exchange for FREE. Valley National Bank is a FRAUD, and the Oakland location has the most horrendous, misleading clerks I've ever dealt with.
