Square One Kids Academy is an incredible place to help with your children. They are extremely educationally based, but do so in a way that both my kids always wanted to be at school. The staff is exceptional, the director is extremely professional, and the owners are very loving. I wish my kids could have stayed longer, but I feel they are beyond prepared for Kindergarten and what comes next. Thank you, SQ1!

This place is THE BEST! Our experience with Square One started when we were expecting our son, and we set up a tour with Felicia. She showed us around the entire facility and patiently answered all our questions. She even encouraged us to see other day cares so we could make an informed decision as this was our first child and we didn’t know what we didn’t know! She reached out after our tour to make sure we were doing alright with our search. After our child was born, Felicia reached out again with a congratulations and the paperwork for infant care whenever we were ready. Our son has been a full time student since October 2021 and we couldn’t be happier! The teachers are incredibly patient and friendly. They keep lines of communication open all day long, and have even replied on weekends and evenings. Any time we have a question or concern, they are quick to reply and are so thorough with their answers. Our son has been introduced to different sensory activities and all kinds of experiences that we would have never thought of.We’ve been so impressed with how clean and professional Square One is, and we recommend this place to everyone we know!

Bringing your infant to daycare can be an intimidating experience. However we visited Square One before our son was born and it was one of the most detailed and educational tours my wife and had been on in our search. During our tour, Felicia suggested we tour other facilities before making our decision. We took that advice despite knowing we would ultimately end up at Square One. My wife and I have nothing but great things to say about the facility and staff at Square One. We joke that it's our son's favorite place to be, but really it is.

Love this facility, the teachers and staff. My son loves attending each day and comes home after learning new things, all of the time. Truly caring staff and we are comforted to know they are teaching and looking after him as we would, at home... and he has a ton of fun too!

NEWI am rating based off my encounter with Felicia. About 1 month ago, I was researching schools. I took my time reading through reviews, and i found some that didnt reflect on Felicia very well. I tried to take into consideration,You cant always base your thoughts on reviews. I started with a phone call about the possibility of enrolling my 2.5 yr old son.Felicia told me she would email me the pricing of Square One Kids Academy. I recieved an email with that information. On that email she also stated that if I wanted to tour the facility to let her know. I replied later that night that I wanted to take a tour. About a week went by and I didn't hear anything. I called again and she answered the phone. I stated who I was and went through the whole story and how I would like to set up a tour. Felicia replied back she couldn't speak at that moment and could she call me back around 330pm. She never did. This happened 3 times after that as well. Everytime i called she said she couldnt speak and asked if she could return my call. FOUR phone callas made, and FOUR TIMES , I was blown off with no call back !I was recommended to this school from someone I know that used to work there, and sends her daughter there. I asked her about the reviews i read . She did in fact state that she has never encountered any issues herself with Felicia however she did state that Felicia has had issues with other parents and those parents have issues with her. I called today and Sarah answered. I asked for Felicia ( thinking she was the only one that could set up tours ) she said Felicia was not available but she could have her call me back. I told her I wasn't comfortable with that because she still owed me 4 phone calls back .I stated, yes I will wait for her phone call one more time but if she didn't call I would be reviewing. Sarah, replied she could set up the tour, which she did for Monday June 6th at 915. A short time after hanging up with Sarah, I get a return call from Felicia. She called very aggressively ,telling me I was threatening a review and how dare I talk to her staff about her. First of all she needs to learn the difference between stating that I was going to review and threaten. She also stated she emailed me back which is a LIE, I check my emails and spam ALL the time and never once got an email back. Second of all it doesn't look good when your the director of a child care facility and your screaming at a potential newcomer. So for future moms/dads looking for a place to send your child, I highly recommend reading ALL reviews because you definitely do not want to encounter this woman nor have your children around her. This isn't the first bad review on her and I am sure it won't be the last.

I am rating based off my encounter with Felicia. About 1 month ago I took my time reading through reviews, there were many not so nice ones on Felicia. You can't always go based off of the reviews and see first hand yourself. Well, I started with a phone call about the possibility of enrolling my 2.5 yr old son. While on the phone with Felicia, she had told me she would email me the pricing on Square One Kids Academy. Later that day she did just that, I recieved an email with that information. On that email as well she stated that if I wanted to tour the facility to let her know. I replied later that night that I wanted to take a tour. Time went by and I wasn't hearing anything. I called about 1 week after and she answered the phone. I stated who I was and went through the whole story and how I would like to set up a tour. Felicia replied back she couldn't speak at that moment and could she call me back around 330pm. 5pm rolled around and there was no call. I waited yet another week. I call back and go through the whole story again, her reply once again I'm busy I will have to call you back. Guess what no call back. The reason I was persistent on touring this facility was someone that I know used to work there and sends her daughter there. She did in fact state that she has never encountered any issues herself with Felicia but she did state that Felicia has been tough with parents and those parents have issues with her. Again I try to see the good in everyone. Well just today I called and Sarah answered. I asked for Felicia ( thinking she was the only one that could set up tours ) she said Felicia was not available but she could have her call me back. I became defensive and said I don't trust Felicia calling me back because she never responded to my email nor called me back the 2x she stated she was going to. I stated, yes I will try waiting for her phone call one more time but if she didn't call I would be reviewing. Sarah, replied she could set up the tour, which she did for Monday June 6th at 915. A short time after hanging up with Sarah, what do you know I get a return call from Felicia. She was off her rocker, telling me I was threatening a review and how dare I talk to her staff about her. First off she needs to learn the difference between stating that I was going to review and threaten. She also stated she emailed me back which is a LIE, I check my emails and spam ALL the time and never once got an email back. So for future moms/dads looking for a place to send your child, I highly recommend reading ALL reviews because you definitely do not want to encounter this woman nor have your children around her. My son was enrolled at Square One for just one month before it became evident that it was not the right environment for us. During his third week, he was bitten by another student, and while I understand that this can happen at daycare, the unprofessional way that the director, Felicia, managed the incident and continued to treat us afterward was completely inappropriate and disrespectful. The day of the incident, I received a message via the daycare's app that he had been "accidentally bitten by a friend". As a first time mom and brand new to daycare, I was very upset and called the school immediately. A teacher from a different class assured me that he was ok, and that the children would be separated for the rest of the day. When Felicia later called, she was abrupt and dismissive - citing this as normal behavior and suggesting that my son "could be the biter next month". I inquired what the school would do to prevent another bite, and referenced the school's discipline policy. Felicia advised that she did not have "the resources or staff" to keep the children apart, and that my son could be bitten five more times by this child without the discipline policy being invoked. At pickup, his teacher brought him to the lobby with a visible bite mark on his arm, along with an incident form for us to sign. Since this teacher witnessed the incident, I asked her for details and shared that I was unhappy with the conversation I had with Felicia. After a few minutes, Felicia came out and requested we go to her office, where she proceeded to reprimand us and state we were to never again have a conversation about biting in front of other parents. At that time, we requested to view video footage of the incident, which we were told by Felicia during our tour we would have access to if our child was ever injured on site. Felicia refused, citing confidentiality, reiterated that this was normal and that she didn't know what else we wanted her to say.The following week, I made a last attempt to make this daycare work, and told Felicia that I hoped we could move forward and have a good working relationship. She proceeded to tell me that I was passive aggressive and "making digs" about her to her staff. Confused, I asked her to explain -- this is all because I shared with teachers that we felt unheard by Felicia and that she was acting like she was annoyed with us. I'm entitled to share my feelings - about your actions - to another adult.Long story short, dealing with Square One was an absolute nightmare and I'm so glad we left. We were misinformed several times during our tour, from the video to the discipline policies, and we no longer felt our son was safe there. His new school has only highlighted how cold and detached the staff and overall vibe is at Square One. When entrusting their child/ren to the care of another adult or group, any parent should feel they can completely trust in the words and actions of the caretakers. In a daycare environment, it is a minimum expectation that the professionals lead with honesty, empathy and sensitivity to every child and family, and unfortunately that was not our experience.

As the summer is coming to end, and looking back at the 5 years my son has spent with the Square One Family has been a blessing. Having to decide on a Day Care for a 1st time parent was probably one of the harder decisions to make, and there is only one way to really tell... it was from my son who absolutely loves going here. The staff is always helpful, his teachers have always been very engaged (all of them-providing an update on his day), although I will say it is a very structured environment and that it took me a minute to get used to especially in the early stages... The Director is firm and runs a structured program with policies in place that I may not have understood at the onset, however seeing the positive results in my son's development as well as his classmates is truely amazing.Even under COVID we were always kept well informed and school reopened quickly - unlike most others.I have never worried about my sons well being, safety, and health; I have full confidence if for any reason he was not feeling right the school would immediately reach out and contact me (which they have).KUDOS to the Square One Kids Academy team/ family.

Dropping off your first born at a daycare before they can even walk was a harrowing experience. However, from day 1 the teachers and management went above and beyond to look out for, tend to, care for, teach, and develop a positive relationship with my daughter. Flash forward to about 18 months later, and each morning my slightly shy daughter is THRILLED to go to school and laugh, sing, dance, learn, exercise, socialize, explore, paint, construct, play, and grow (and dance some more). You cannot put a price on watching your child saunter confidently into a daycare facility with a smile across her face as she is walked lovingly to her classroom by Miss F. or Miss S. I easily and gratefully offer my highest recommendation of Square 1.

I have to admit, I was one of those anxious moms that was scared to leave my daughter with anyone. Well, Square One immediately changed that! They are so incredibly loving, clean, and you can’t ask for better communication. I get photos throughout the day and know every time she got a diaper change and now goes on the potty. She does fun learning activities all day and is thriving with her socialization because of this place. They encourage her daily to be herself, while challenging her to be her best self. I am still amazed at what she comes home doing!

Square One is a fantastic preschool/daycare program. The facility is SPOTLESS, the staff are warm and engaging and Ms. Felicia runs a tight ship (which I love). My husband and I feel such comfort sending our children to school every day; they are very happy there and are learning so much. I always see the teachers interacting with the children and it never seems chaotic or in disarray. After a couple of different experiences in other programs, I can say that Square One beats out the rest and is a program that every parent should consider.

My son has been attending Square One Kids Academy for over a year and a half. As a first time mom, I was very anxious about sending my son to daycare/preschool but Square One made this transition easy for both my son and I. The school is new, secure, clean and has a great layout which consists of classrooms and activity rooms, such as a gym and library. The staff are all very caring, responsible and accommodating. My son adores his teachers and can’t say enough great things about them. At Square One, my son is always learning about new topics and expresses how much fun he has doing so. In addition, Square One offers activities such as dance, yoga and even kiddie soccer! I am very appreciative for the great care and early education that the Square One staff provide for my son and I am confident that he is attending the best daycare/preschool in the area.
