Ordered a grill and there was a mix up with delivery. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we got it on time completely assembled and ready to go. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

I came in looking for a new diverter for my shower knowing little to nothing about it.Jackie was able to repair my current diverter and point me to a drain cleaner I also needed.Not only was she wildly knowledgeable, but she was kind and friendly as well as able to share a few pointers with me. As a new homeowner I find people like her invaluable and will be stopping by again soon.

Came in today in need of specific nuts, bolts &/or screws for my outside coach lamp. Albert waited on me and was soooooo patient until he found the correct hardware. He assured me if it wasn’t right I could return the items but it was absolutely correct and I was able to fix the light post. I so appreciated his time and help. Thank you!I have had many positive visits to Ace Hardware and find the staff knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. So glad you’re nearby. ?

The store is a pleasure to visit. It became better when converted to ACE.. It's extremely clean, bright and well organized. You have people to talk to. Prices are higher then Home Depot, but it saves time as it's much closer to my hime.

Extremely Knowledgeable and There is an Absolute Goddess that works there and I don't always get to see her , but when I do ... ?✅I digress .. The Selection is second to None . They Have it ALL !!They close around 7 so Go Get the Right answers , Right Product , Succinct . Great Template for the rest of Ace all over the Map !!

For the usual small items, this store is close and convenient. The young women who mostly work the counter are polite and competent. But when you get further into the store, the quality of the employees seems to deteriorate. I was looking for ~100 machine screws and nuts that would allow me to complete a weekend job for the Borough. Three male employees, all young, were so busy fraternizing with lone female customer that they could not be bothered helping a customer - myself - who was clearly struggling to reach items 7+' above the floor. I gave up, drove 15 minutes to Home Depot and - amazingly - got better service there. (No one accuses the "Big Box Stores" of good customer service). Male employees should be TRAINED to pay attention to all customers. In the future, when I have an urgent job, I'll take the time to drive to a supplier who can at least find the needed materials and allow me to return to my job. Bottom line - if you are going to hire children, take the time to train them.

I am happy to share our experience with Matt Maggio and Spencer Bachmann from Oakland Ace Hardware. Both were equally determined to find the source of the problem with our Weber grill. After a long wait from Weber for parts needed (burners and manifold,) followed by 2 visits from Spencer (a kind, friendly and responsive technician) who replaced the parts and did everything he could to get it working both before and after a visit from our plumber who checked the gas line and power flow from the house and blew out debris that had collected in the flexible hose, and a final visit from Spencer to replace the flexible hose and the igniter, the grill still would not ignite.After much back and forth with Matt about all that had been done, and a review of Spencer's significant efforts to get to the root of the problem, I asked more detailed questions to our plumber and shared my notes with Matt. As frustrated as we were, Matt insisted on coming back to our home this morning to see the grill for himself. He made a small adjustment to the positioning of the igniter which got our grill working to finish out the summer! There was not one interaction with Matt or Spencer on the phone, via email or in person where they weren't really interested in the fact that we were spending money to fix the grill and it still wasn't working. They care about the work they do, have confidence in their knowledge of grills, and just wanted us to be able to grill! We communicated with them all that the plumber had shared with us and we communicated with the plumber all that Ace Hardware had done and all of the parts that had been replaced. Eventually, Matt solved the issue with the positioning of the igniter and we were good to go. Not all hardware stores provide a grill cleaning and repair service, but Oakland Ace Hardware does. The staff members who schedule the appointments are friendly and responsive and when Weber parts delays occurred, they were great at keeping us informed. Hats off to Matt and Spencer for their determination and persistence in making sure our grill was fixed! Thank you so much. Actually, negative 5 stars. Long story short... Between three incompetent employees and the "so-called" manager, they couldn't accurately duplicate a simple car key. What a joke this use-to-be "friendly" NJ neighborhood hardware store has become. Absolutely NOT recommended. I'm happily taking my business elsewhere. Sheesh!

This place sucks. Wated online for like 10 mins then some rude as kid would not help me told me to "that's not the line go wait on line or i won't take you". I have a problem with my eyes and don't see very well extremely rude took my business someplace else won't return
