VESA Brides is the place all brides need to go for their wedding gown. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Veronica and her mother as well as the other seamstresses at the store. From the very first day I met Veronica I knew I found my wedding gown in the store. She could not have been more personal and understanding to the specifications I was looking for in a bridal gown. This is a boutique store with a personal and individualized experience. Each appt you are working with Veronica and the same seamstresses. Veronica and her mother had to reconstruct my entire gown to fit me perfectly. My gown turned out stunning. They even restored by grandmothers Victoria Lace Cathedral Wedding Robe that I was able to wear the morning of my wedding day. They truly care about their brides. My mom came to every appointment with me and we were both impressed at how wonderful Veronica and her mother were. I highly recommend any bride to use VESA for buying a wedding gown or bringing a previously purchased wedding gown there for alterations.

Was very disappointed. I took my wedding dress here for alterations.The only issue at first was that there is NO parking and the location is in an obscure building.After my third fitting, I was told I could pick my dress as it was ready. My mom picked both her MOB and my dress up.My mom’s dress was unfinished with pins still in it and with chalk on the hem. It was also skin tight.My dress was slightly tighter than at my last fitting and I did not gain weight. Also the dress and veil were not steamed.My mom and I had to take our dresses to a new semester ONE WEEK before my wedding. And my bridesmaids steamed my veil in the hotel room while I got ready on my wedding day.To top it all off, my bustle broke about an hour into the reception, probably due to how flimsy it was. Do not go here for bridal alterations.

I picked up my dress for daughter's wedding and it was all downhill after that! When I opened the bag for my dress a few days later I discovered that my dress was not finished! The inside wasn't sewn together, straps not sewn to sleeves, and chalk marks still on the bottom of my dress. At the final fitting my dress looked fabulous! I decided to find another seamstress closer to my home. It was one week before the wedding!!! Now, my dress is tight AND unfinished! I paid $150.00 for alterations. The new seamstress was able to finish my dress and take it out a bit, but it was still tight and uncomfortable! I was able to wear my dress, but changed at the reception after photos. A family member purchased a new dress for me in between the ceremony and reception. I paid $200.00 for the new seamstress AND $199.00 for a new dress! I spoke with Vesa Brides, and they apologized. They never offered a refund or partial refund! NOW onto my daughter's wedding gown.... I went over my daughter's dress only to notice pin marks all around the bottom of the hem. The new seamstress reassured me that all it needed was steaming. The new seamstress also discovered that part of the inside of my daughter's wedding gown was not finished on the inside! The veil was also not steamed, which VESA Brides said they would steam as a courtesy. My daughter's wedding gown was tight! It was not tight at the last fitting!!! AND the bustle was broken! The bottom of her gown was filthy from everyone stepping on it! I would really consider going elsewhere if you are thinking of choosing VESA Brides for your gown alterations!

I was very disappointed with my experience here. I had purchased a prom dress one year ago and COVID had hit. I was unable to have a prom, and was unable to come to store to get the dress. I had never had the dress altered nor did I ever wear it more than once. The dress never left the store. I came in recently and asked for my money back. They told me I was unable to do so. And that there was nothing that they can do for me. I understand that it was store policy however having a little compassion and being a little nice would’ve been appreciated. I was disrespected, and spoke to nasty. I would’ve thought being through a pandemic and understanding that I was unable to have my senior prom, they would’ve been a little more pleasant. I do not recommend this place for how arrogant some of the workers were to me and my mom. Totally unacceptable and not how you should run business. I would not even give this place one star but Google is making me in order to post this.

Spent hundreds of dollars here and the wedding never happened. Asked for the deposits back since she knew the wedding was cancelled and the owners reply was "NO". She was advised a year in advance of the cancellation but didn't care. Needless to say, she kept all deposits which the dresses were never ordered so she didn't loose anything! Stay away from this crook who is devious and cruel and OBVIOUSLY A THIEF!!!!!!

I have been going to Vesa for years because they are the best! No matter how big or small the alterations are, they always produce the most amazing results. Everyone working there is so patient, kind, and personable, which only adds to customer satisfaction!

Worst service ever. I purchased a prom dress, to which I never got to take home/wear because of Covid. The shop was closed and my prom was canceled. Needless to say, I never got my dress. I went in to get my money back for the dress and the older lady working there was SO nasty! The worst attitude and REFUSED to give me my money back!!!! I never even had my prom, she made me leave with the dress that I will never use. No compassion what so ever. I would NEVER recommend this scam artist, please keep your money and do not waste your time!! No wonder there are never customers in her store.

This is the BEST bridal store in the NY-NJ area! Stellar service with a VERY personal and family-like touch! I am ashamed of myself for the fact that I have not been able to post a review earlier although I got my wedding dress from Vesa Dresses in Summer 2018. Owned by a mother-daughter couple, this store truly cares about minimizing your wedding stress through ensuring that you will be 100% happy with your wedding dress. Arranging weddings are stressful - especially for bride-to-be’s (let’s face it, the responsibility regarding arrangements falls more onto the bride than the groom, unfortunately)... The team at Vesa Dresses knows this, and they do whatever is in their power to ensure that your dress will give you a peace of mind on your wedding day! Elsa, Veronica, and Eva took GREAT care of me, my mom, and all our needs and wishes. They were EXCEPTIONALLY patient, kind, and emphathizing with me! They never hesitated from making the changes I requested on my dress... It was less than 1 week before my wedding and I was still asking for unexpected changes - and they were welcoming all despite their very busy schedule. They even recommended a local business where I was able to get my headpiece customized:) At Vesa Dresses, you are treated like family - truly... When I and my mom were sick with one worst flues we had ever had and were not able to make it to our bridal appointment, they even sent us a LOVELY “get well soon” card which I still keep. I will never forget their kindness and this ADORABLE gesture! Vesa Dresses is, for sure, the BEST thing that happened to me throughout the time I was arranging my wedding. I totally recommend this place for any bride! You will be in EXCEPTIONAL hands with Elsa, Veronica, and Eva!

Purchased a dress for my son's wedding and Vesa had exactly what I wanted. The service from start to finish was outstanding and so professional and accommodating. They want you to be happy with your purchase. I would definitely recommend!!!!! Thank you for everything!

I purchased my bridesmaid dress here for a girlfriend’s wedding. The shopping experience was nice and the prices were average. Alterations charged $100+ for the hem and bringing the straps up. A few hours into the reception my strap fell apart and needed to be tied together to keep my dress from falling down.

I cannot begin to tell you all how amazing Veronica is from Vesa Brides in Nutley. Her aura is beautiful. She truly wants you to love your dress and be happy with your decision. She is also super patient and responsive and never makes you feel like you’re being a bother. The boutique itself has a little bit of everything and is cozy and private. Literally out of all my experiences so far she has been the best I’m so so happy I found her! Please check them out I don’t give recommendations lightly.

With finding a dress last minute, they took all my worries away. Walked in feeling more than welcomed. It was an amazing experience to find my gown with them. My alterations come out perfect, couldn't have found a better gown anywhere else. Highly recommend Vesa Dresses to anyone & everyone! A big Thank you for helping me look amazing for the Marine Corps Ball !

I went to Vesa Dress Shop to look for a dress for my wedding (I got married on 5/19/17). It was near my home so I figured I could get some ideas. The moment I walked in the staff was very attentive and excited to assist me. I fell in love with a cocktail dress, however, I wanted pink instead of white. They were more than happy to help me pick the perfect shade of pink. Once the dress came in I had lost some weight and I continued to lose weight up to the day I picked up the dress. I went back at least 7 or 8 times for fittings and never once did I feel like they were frustrated with me or rushing me out of store. I recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to be treated like a true princess when preparing for any event: wedding, prom, etc. I would also like to give a shout out to EVA - she was amazing - an absolute pleasure to work with. I hope I have an occasion where I need to go back to visit her again. Thank you!

Saved my sisters wedding!! I burned a hole in my sisters veil 10 minutes before the photographer arrived, The day of her wedding. Went to Vesa in a whim to see if they had any available and ready. They duplicated the veil color shape and size on the spot with a new custom made one at an extremely reasonable price in 20minutes! On top of it when we were there it started to downpour, they gave us an umbrella so we didn't mess up her hair or make up since it was done for the wedding already. While we were waiting we looked around at the dresses they have and found a few that we liked better than the ones that we had gotten from another bridal store. Being that we were from out of town this is the first time we had ever been there ! I highly recommend Vesa for any of your bridal needs!!!
