Absolutely deplorable.
This is the flag on the pole at Investors Bank on Harrison Street in Nutley.
Shredded, filthy, barely there.
Beyond disrespectful.
I called the bank from the parking lot and spoke to two women who both stated that according to corporate they are not allowed to remove the flag until the new one is delivered. I told them I was calling corporate. Before we could pull out, an equally deplorable employee came outside and pulled it down. Yes, pulled it down. We asked him to NOT let it touch the ground. He (along with another employee, an much older woman) completely ignored us.
Have you ever seen such a disgusting display of patriotism both in the condition of this flag or the employee pulling it down?
I also sent the pictures to Bruce Van Saun, the CEO.
Heartbreaking.
