Shipping or buying their mailing supplies is always an easy experience and I prefer it to the post office. They move the line very quickly, if there even is one , and they explain all the options for shipping very well.”
“Today I came into UPS with my visually impaired mother to make an Amazon return. Ash, one of the employees were quite friendly and welcomed us into the store right away. She then walked us through the steps on how to use the amazon return machine and was very patient with my mother as she had many questions about how to do it on her own. “When I was in the parking lot at the UPS Store with a 67 lb package, a UPS driver saw me struggling. The driver walked over and picked up the package and carried it into the UPS store for me. Although he was a uniformed UPS driver he was not an employee of the specific UPS Store I was going to. It was very thoughtful and memorable for that driver to have assisted me that way. I love UPS.”

“I often go to this store to drop off my Amazon returns. Few times have shipped items from here too. Very friendly staff. Try their best to help customers as much as possible, some of the regulars they know by name.
Store is kept clean. Has a lot of foot traffic from local customers. Alongside shipping, the store has lots of other services like packaging, shredding, engraving, copying, printing, and mailboxes. A lot of stationary items are also available for purchase.”

“The young man that works there is one of the most patient, helpful people I have had the pleasure to deal with in a long time. Even if you feel disorganized, he patiently waits for you to get everything in order and you never feel rushed. I have driven past many UPS stores in the last 3-4 years just to come to this one because of how pleasant the experience has been. Great job.”

“Local post office of my town, always had a quick and wonderful service. They have a decent collection of postal materials. PO boxes are also available for rental.Did my daughter's passport application through this PO as well, the Post Master was super helpful and humble to us.”

“Finally a new owner!!!I tried to avoid coming this location because the previous owner was very rude and always angry.Today I could noticed that the owner was changed as soon as I entered the store. The new owner greeted nicely and helped customers and the atmosphere was completely different.”

“EDIT: I've had a PO box here for about about 15 years and they have recently changed ownership. These people seem nice enough, but not quite the family vibe there used to be. Still a very strong 4 stars, no real complaints, just miss Denise and the old crew who were awesome!”

“I have read every review about this USPS location from the past 5 years. The one-star reviews fell under 5 categories and there's an easy explanation or remedy for each:1) Folks in line got turned off by how some patrons were scolded for bringing random items inside the post office (a scooter, bike, dog). Remedy: Mind your own business and be less sensitive. The idiots who brought those things inside never left a review and followed the instructions to leave them outside.2) Long wait. Reality: Lines at every USPS are long. If you really are strapped for time, then pre-stamp your mailing and drop them off at self-service locations, where you can scan them in yourself and get a receipt.3) Delivery issues. Reality: There are THREE post offices in Mt Vernon. Your local mail carrier's performance has nothing to do with any particular post office. If you really are having issues, figure out who your mail carrier is and go from there.4) Can't reach this location by phone. Reality: Yes, this is true. Remedy: Don't call.5) This location opens late or closes early. Remedy: Come during the middle of the day. One reviewer said he could only visit this post office after work. That's just silly; you can visit another one close to work during your lunch break.With regards to the level of service and attitude of the USPS employees at this location, I don't find them either unpleasant or out of the ordinary. It was amusing to watch a patron get roasted when he demanded that his stack of 100+ envelopes be stamped individually by an employee. The atmosphere is that of a mom-and-pop shop with the occasional good natured jab. The Postal Service simply requires its employees to be honest and reliable. Everything that I have brought to this USPS location for the past 60 days have been handled with precision and RELIABLY delivered to the next distribution center the same day.”
“A little courtesy and empathy. They should be good to go. Since they are not really part of the UPS company but it seems a "franchise" they do not invest in much in understanding the customer, common courtesy.”
