I have used Kilpatrick Moving & Storage several times, and I am always a happy customer. Customer-centric, professional, well-priced, and on-time. Should I ever move again, I would not hesitate to contact Kilpatrick for all my needs. Fine people!

Do NOT use Kilpatrick Moving & Storage! They charged for insurance that was not valid, refuse to compensate for damaged of broken china plates and refuse to address this issue. They provide false advertisement stating they were accredited by Better Business Bureau.I contracted with Kilpatrick Moving & Storage for moving & storage services because they are an agent of Atlas Van Lines, which is known to be a reputable moving company. The first email I received from them stated that they are an accredited business with the Better Business with an A+ rating, so I felt reassured. My experience was disastrous. Their moving consultant overestimated the moving time and number of items- he estimated 10 hours, it took only 5 ½ hours. He included items that I told him were not part of the move, he also included charges for packing of several items even though I told him we were doing our own packing. Any move that does not include storage will charge for one labor day to load and unload; I was charged for 4 different moves: loading from house to van, uploading from warehouse, loading from warehouse, uploading to new house. On top of a warehouse additional fee. Additionally, on the day of the final move only 3 movers showed up. I had a certified check to cover the labor of 4 guys. The primary issue regarding insurance issue has not been resolved. I requested many times to purchase insurance in addition to the valuation. They reported the fax machine was not working so I was just given a paper/contract to sign the day of the moving. In the contract I chose Option 3, stating “The consumer orders INSURANCE of $50,000”. They mislead me into believing I had purchase insurance and refuse to pay a small claim for some shattered China plates because they did not pack the items. They took my money knowing that I was doing my own packing which I told them verbally and in writing. Furthermore, Kilpatrick refused to give me the name of the owner or any contact information to solve the dispute amicably.

I had a not so great experience with Kilpatrick Moving & Storage. At first we were vetting them and a few others out and we liked that they were local, the gentlemen who quoted us was sincere, and Michelle the office/sales person assured us we were in good hands. So we decided to move forward with the move because we trusted them.

The actual movers themselves were all very good, prompt, and very experienced. We felt like we hit the jackpot as Michelle assured us anything we needed she would take care of us which they did in the beginning to earn our business. When she quoted us hourly rates she said that whatever isn't used we did not have to pay for. Therefore my wife and I worked very hard to get rid of any excess in our old house so that it will help reduce the workload and expense of moving. We moved out of our old home, storage our goods for two months, and moved to our new home with Kipatrick Moving, & Storage. It wasn't until the final move that all of a sudden Michelle said they required a certified check when previously deposit and initial move I had always written them with a regular check. I didn't think anything of it however Michelle said that we must get them a certified check in order for her team to start moving things into final destination. I was annoyed by this already however went to the bank and did as she said. When I came back the movers started moving and did so from 9am and worked until 4pm being a total of 7 Hours which we paid for 8. They charged me for a full 8 hours therefore I reached back out to Michelle via email to ask her about the one hour reimbursement and 5 emails later no reply back her since the job is done and they took my certified check. I even called her out saying she was dodging the question of reimbursement for the one hour. To me it wasn't the one hour reimbursement money it was the honor system that they promised security and fairness and they did not honor what they said. As a business owner you must always try to figure out a way to take care of your customers, and I do not feel dodging your customers was the right way to deal with the situation. I wish I could give higher stars for the actual movers but the final straw for me was the non response back from Michelle and not even a courtesy to say they have no intentions of reimbursement of the final hour.
