Very dishonest business thanks to the crazy antics of his wife, who gave us an 'estimate' for some repairs, turned out it was all a fabrication to make extra money. Would not recommend this shop to anyone seeking an honest, reliable mechanic. CAUTION- HIS WIFE RITA walks around the shop with a cup of whiskey in her night robes....disgusting...

My 2003 SLK Mercedes, (6 gears manual shift) roadster needed a new clutch and a new set of breaks. after consulting the Mercedes dealership in Egg Harbor and two more garages I stopped by Bruces shop. With many old and newer European made cars in the front of his garage I recall that he was recommended some time ago by his daughter in law, I decided to consult him. After talking to him for a while I was convinced of his expertise and I gave him a deposit to order the parts and brought the car to him. Not only did he do an exceptional job on the car, in a very timely manner and very competitive prices- what impressed me more was his deep knowledge of the car , his professionalism , magnetic personality and most importantly the pride that he takes in his work. He stated that he is"old school" and showed me the old parts that he replaced. He was so thorough that he identified that the Mercedes factory actually installed a wrong pulley that caused very rough idling, an issue that the dealership never addressed during all these years.. This is a generation of mechanics that is quickly disappearing . I can only urge you if you are in the area and need a master mechanic to look at your car, to stop by Bruce's Auto Repair at 1711 Tilton Rd in Northfield. It is a true jewel that is very rare nowadays.

Left my 944 there to get a head gasket almost a year ago. Now they do not answer phone and their voicemail is full. I went there to see what the holdup is and there was a sign on the door "back in September". I can not drive it away as the intake manifold is unbolted. Now I will have to pay to have it towed from there. This is where cars go to die.

Bruce may be a good mechanic, but it took his shop four months to replace the engine in my rover. Book time was 15 hours, he billed for 40 and charged for 30. Had to fix a few stupid issues on my own from the sloppy work, notably a loose oil pan. Sorry, I do not often give bad reviews, but you could not pay me to go back

My car has been there for almost a year. he has only done enough to make it where I can not drive it away. Now he is out of town and his voicemail is full. Waste of time. Now I will have to have it towed from there.

Today I ran out of gas. Mark was at the Citgo/Auto repair station and thankfully lent me a gas can so I could get enough gas to come the 1/2 mile to the station and get more. He then checked/added air in all my tires cleaned my lights and windows and was very sweet during all of this. Then to top it off Bruce himself called me back to see that I had received help and to offer me more at anytime. I will recommend this shop and gas station to everyone I know and my husband will tell any ppl in need he picks up in his tow truck. Thanks again for making a disaster not so bad.
