Hadi went above and beyond to help me when my car needed servicing. There was a bit of a confusion with my car service’s warranty but he made sure that I was still able to get the oil change and cleared up all confusion. Even though the car buying experience was great, their service experience was extremely poor. I brought my car in for a recall and regular oil change and within 48 hours of having my car back the instrument cluster panel began throwing all sorts of error codes. This was very alarming, since the car was not safely functioning.
Brought it back twice was told they couldn’t duplicate issue even though I had it recorded on video, there was a history of error codes from my car and sent them similar documentation from other owners experiencing this issue and how they could address it. I was told repeatedly if they cannot capture this error code being thrown while hooked up to their device then they couldn’t diagnose and fix it because Genesis wouldn’t reimburse them for the part. I was also told they can’t keep paying their mechanics to drive it around, since they were busy with other cars.
The lack of concern for my safety and that of my family’s is appalling and I would recommend that you go elsewhere for service. These individuals clearly do not know how a luxury dealership works. Shame on them! I will be escalating this issue to their corporate office.

If I could leave a 0 star rating I would.. by far the most trash expetience ever. Buyer beware.. I was told they list cars lower priced online as a marketing tactic then will bump up the price by $10k. Nobody there wants to work or take accountability and everyone comes up with excuses as to why they cant or wont sell a car. Bounced around from 4 different people over the course of 4 days, nobody knew what was going on and all came up with different stories. Goodluck trying to buy a car from here. 10/10 would NOT recommend.
Guy literally told me they dont sell cars to out of state buyers or want to do business, then another guy told me the car im looking at will be marked up by $10,000 if I want to buy it cause thats what "the market calls for" for a used vehicle the used car manager prices accordingly based in market value and lists it online.. sounds like a bunch of classic scamming sales people.

A car dealer is in the business of selling cars, so I am not sure why they bother wasting their time being accommodating at the beginning of the process to in turn give you no information about the car when you request it from them. I will admit that the sales rep I had initially dealt with was very accommodating and welcoming, but sadly my experience quickly turned sour after that.
After reaching out to the sales rep more than 3 times(I wanted this car), I still received no response when asking for more information on a vehicle the dealer had in inventory. Turns out that the rep that I was dealing with had left the dealer for unknown reasons, and I received no notice from any supervisor/manager. While I understand that a sales manager/supervisor wouldn't have any text history from our communications, I sent in multiple emails to the rep that the supervisor/manager could have responded to and informed me that the rep had left the company like most companies do.
After multiple weeks, I was finally connected with another sales rep through Claudia, who was excellent and wanted to be sure I was well taken care of. This rep was the stereotypical car sales person, and gave me zero incentive to proceed with their offer, especially when I had made it very clear that the deal would have to outweigh the experience that I received. Safe to say I walked as they gave me zero incentive for buying from their dealership. After reading multiple reviews stating that their sales department was excellent, I frankly expected better from them. I just find it ironic that their reasoning for not giving me any incentive was that the deal on the car was excellent, however it is still sitting on the lot today.
This dealer is turning the brand upside down for consumers, which is unfortunate as their cars are great. I would recommend the genesis cars, just not through this dealership.

I have a GV70 2024. Been complaining about when the heat/ac is turned off there is air still flowing out of the vents. It’s not a little bit either. It’s like it’s still on! Johan keeps telling me all cars do that! No they don’t! I insisted he looks at it this time( 2nd time I’ve bought it back). He gives me a loner same as mine and says” you will see it does it in the loaner.” Guess what Johan it doesn’t!!! The loaner he gave me all electronic warning lights are going off. Sent him a video and still haven’t heard back! I guess Genesis doesn’t care about your safety!!!

Picked up our first lease (and first Genesis) here a few weeks ago. Raphael was super informative, patient and great to work with. Francisco (manager) was awesome as well. We had a small window to get everything sorted and they were both very accommodating. Thanks for the amazing customer service!

Francisco and Ralph made the purchase process of the GV80 very smooth. I prefer to pre-negotiate over email and go in with a set deal. A lot of dealers use bait and switch that results in unnecessary waste of time. Everything was as expected and the two made what is generally a very stressful process smooth and easy. Bruno at finance was great too. I’d recommend.

I have Genesis GV70 which is just one year old car. It’s already giving me problems. Service center never provides loaner car when car is at service center. My advice please stay away from Genesis.

Very unpleasant experience. Even I bought 2 cars from them, When I asked for help, all came to their mind is money first. Then I went Genesis of Freehold for help, they helped me and done that very quickly. I will never go this place again.

I have nothing but problems with this service center. All started in May. Had a leak on the passenger side when it rained. Had to wait to get an appointment for the repair and finally leak stopped. About two months later the sunroof started to leak when ever it rained. They said it was the drains in the roof and that should solve the problem Rained again and had a puddle on drivers side again. Brought my GV80 in again. They said it was the gasket. They ordered gasket. Took two weeks to be delivered. Brought vehicle in again. They took apart the sunroof and realized they didn’t get a gasket. The car stayed at the service center for two weeks They gave me a loaner and took it back two days later due to a change of ownership. Finally got my truck back and saw that there were 3-4 ceiling clips missing. They ordered a new set. Went there today 11-14-2023. When tech tried to install he realized they weren’t the correct ones. Have to reorder. It takes me an hour to get there plus tolls and gas. I come from Staten Island. Very dissatisfied customer

I have owned many luxury cars over the years. The Sales and Services at Genesis of North Plainfield do not meet the luxury car standards. I love My GV80, but next time I will be looking at another brand that treat their clients in a more professional manner. Genesis really needs to improve the way their dealers handle the customer the experience if they want to compete in the luxury car market.
