Cavaco Supermarket is known in town as the go-to Portuguese deli, grocery, and bakery. The shelves are even stocked with products imported from Portugal. In addition, they are a churrasqueria and offer delicious BBQ chicken, served in a giant tray over rice and fries. Their pastries, such as their bola de berlim and pastel de nata I'm not too much of a fan of compared to other spots in town, but their chicken and codfish fritter was delicious and their fries are even fresh cut. “I've been a loyal customer for years - I even followed them from French Street to Hamilton! They have an amazing selection of African grocery items. And while I haven't seen Eunice herself in years, her son has done an amazing job of keeping the place going. The staff are always super friendly and welcoming, which just adds to the overall great experience of shopping here. And even after all the challenges brought on by COVID-19, I'm so glad to see that they're still going strong.”

I saved receipts compare em if I get other things cheaper at dollar tree. Pretty much get lost things between these two places instead if driving to Walmart. Things I can't get I get there at later time”
“Liked it all but the power failure with no backup ups systems on any registers. Even when power came back it took more then 20 mins for systems to restart. No cash system in place either. All said they have good prices on produce.”

“Wonderful customer service. The very nice lady at the cash register was extremely helpful to me. (12/9/23) She treated me with kindness and respect.The store has all the wonderful healthy products I look for.I purchased mint leaves, henna , turmeric powder and lemon Tang.I went back on December 12, 2023 after 6 PM and there was a young guy working the cash register who charged me $3 flat for ginger powder that clearly shows $2.49?I have no idea why he wanted to overcharge me by $.51. So now I will just go elsewhere or avoid him like the plague.”
“Pretty expensive but good selection, and it's the only walkable supermarket in the area that I know of. The fresh meats/poultry/fish are more than decent and specifically affordable compared with the rest of the wares.”

“After going grocery shopping with my husband, I left my bag in the cart and on the way home, I discovered that my bag wasn't there so I headed back to the supermarket. There was almost no hope on the way as it rained heavily and flooded here and there and the roads were blocked, but Gibriel safely delivered my bag to the customer service department. I was so thankful and I cried. Best customer service ever! The lady at customer service and the staff helped me very kindly! I was even more thankful because there were important business-related documents and a wallet in the bag. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas everyone!”
