I worked with Dr. Tan and other scientists at Bionex Pharmaceuticals for two years. It was a great opportunity to work in the pharmaceutical development industry and provided me with valuable lab experience doing product formulation and testing. Dr. Tan especially has been a great mentor and allowed me to learn a great deal under his expert guidance.

I worked closely with Dr. Hock Tan for the last 4 months on various transdermal and transmucosal drug products at Bionex Pharmaceuticals. It was a welcoming opportunity to learn about drug product development and good documentation and manufacturing practices. With the help of fellow interns and Dr. Tan himself, I picked up the skills necessary for formulation development and various drug product studies. I was able to ask many questions, attend seminars, and network with other employees in the bioscience center during this time period. I had a great experience working under Dr. Tan as a junior scientist, with his guidance and mentorship in and out of the lab.

Over the last 2 decades Bionex has provided the emerging biopharma community with excellent services in IND enabling studies, formulation, GMP manufacturing for early phase/proof of concept clinical trials and stability testing. It's highly recommended that you speak with Dr. Tan if you are developing formulations in transdermal and intra-nasal drug delivery.

I was very fortunate to intern at Bionex Pharamaceuticals a couple of years ago, and I can say that it was a very beneficial and rewarding experience for me. Not only did I gain hands-on lab experience that gave me a leg up on my research career, but I also met wonderful mentors such Dr. Hock Tan, who taught me proper protocols and documentation, and other fellow interns. Despite the pandemic, Dr. Tan still allowed me to work in-person and on various projects. I am very grateful for the experience I had with Bionex.

I have known Hock for more than 10 years and, among other projects, we worked with Hock on our jointly awarded SBIR project. Hock is a great scientist with solid background and training in Chemistry and Engineering, and a highly motivated leader who has extensive experience in management of complex development programs. He is especially competent in providing out-of-the-box solutions to complex problems. Also, I am especially impressed with his pleasant personality (ability to establish a comfortable rapport with others, and client-focused attitude, and effective communication skills.

I've had the pleasure of working with Bionex both as a client and collaborator, and I can confidently say that they are exceptional. Dr. Hock Tan is an ex-colleague. We have had the opportunity to interact with one another for almost two decades now.
