Went into Lowes about 11:00 a.m. today looking for the 4x4 wood for a mailbox post. An employee told me it was in lumber. When I got to the lumber dept. there was an older employee with a younger employee talking in the aisle. I asked where I could find it and they directed me to the back of the aisle. They didn't escort me or ask if I needed further assistance. When I got back there the wood was 6 foot long and about shoulder high, so it was awkward and heavy to take off the shelf. These pieces were terrible, so I had to pull down about 3 and still could not find a smooth cut, decent post. I am in my late 60's and I didn't realize these were that heavy. The older man had a shirt with a design and a Lowes insignia on the back, the younger man was a regular employee so I 'm guessing the older man may be a supervisor. He works there and knew what he was sending me to get and how heavy those 6ft pieces would be. I can't believe he just directed me and did not offer some assistance. I have been a good customer for many years. After today, I am done with Lowes. I got so frustrated I left the store empty handed. I have one gift card and once I spend that I will never set foot in Lowes again. UPDATE-UPDATE 7/3/24 Well I did return to Lowe's today since it is the closet home improvement store to my home. I was pleasantly surprised by today's service. I was looking for indoor trim for the wall where the corners meet. There was a young man working in the aisle, stoped what he was doing and walked me right to it. I was also looking for indoor handrail braces. I went to the Pro check out and spoke to Helene, she went through her phone and computer trying to find their location, Then she walked me back to the handrail aisle and found a few small boxes of them near the floor and not very well displayed. I would never have found them. Thank you Helene for putting in the extra effort. I checked out at the pro register and everyone behind that counter was pleasant and friendly. Lowe's has now redeemed themselves in my eyes. I tried to write this review separately and make todays a 5 star review, but for some reason could not,

Good place for things you need. I always like to visit the plants. Parking is good, people are friendly, it's not to far a ride.

It's Perfect, the worker's are very helpful and friendly. Which makes you feel aprisiated and comfortable. Thier knowledge of the products is on point. Also the knowledge of the Veterans.

I did a pickup with a door, mulch etc. Perfect! I can't lift all of it and the staff worker did it with no problem. Saves my back!

Typical Lowe's. It's sad they only had self service check out available, and the one employee just sat on their phone. Personally, I like to use a checkout with an employee because that's the only way to keep working and getting a paycheck.

Delivery did not arrive between 9:30 am and 1:30am as promised.
No one answers the phone at the store to speak with about this. I have no idea if the delivery is coming or not and it's 2:10pm. Not good!

Lowes and I are done doing business. If a item is not in stock, do yourself a favor and order it somewhere else. They give delivery dates that are not realistic. You cannot track the items with their app. and customer service keeps you on hold forever and when they finally talk to you, you don't get a answer to your delivery issue.
