Worst experience ever. Not only have I had issues with this bank previously at other branches, but it seems to be a trending virus. The customer service is terrible. They were all talking about what to eat for lunch instead of actually doing what they were hired for, to help solve issues. What a joke. Switching banks asap.

My wife is sick in the hospital. The bank will not give me access to her account that is overdrawn and continues to run up late fees. Meanwhile I have all the docs necessary to prove this is my wife and sick ?????

I have been with this bank since 1987, when it was NBSC. Since it changed to Lakeland, every time I try and give them a chance to be competitive, be it a car loan or some type of home loan, they never even come close to the competition. Never!Since 1987, I have purchased about 20 vehicles and 6 homes in the north jersey area and every time I check with Lakeland bank I am always... and I mean always disappointed! I took one equity loan with them, but immediately refinanced because I easily found lower rates. This last time I have finally learned my lesson. I am closing my checking account with this bank and will not waste my time ever stepping foot in one of their branches again. The staff over the years have almost always been very friendly and as helpful as they could be, but enough is enough. They just do not compete. I feel bad because it is a small local bank and I convince myself to give them a try and then later regret wasting my time.As far as I am concerned, Lakeland Bank really needs to do society a favor and just go out of business.

All of their signs say they are open until 5. If they close at 4, they need to make that very clear on their building and their signs.

They keep changing their policies after you open an account. They don’t cash checks drown from their own bank. They also keep changing the hours of operation.

First, I've been banking with Lakeland for several years. Overall, they get a strong 'B'. Not many issues with actual bank account. The reason for the three stars? Some, well, a particular teller has an attitude that is garbage. She works hard to smile. She looks like someone stole her lunch! (apparently she made up for it at dinner) They all seem like they really HATE their jobs! There are some younger/middle aged tellers who are MUCH nicer, smile, and know how to be professional. I understand you have long time employees, but maybe you need to remind them, being friendly and having a smile is important to your loyal customers. 8+ years, and they still treat me like a stranger, which is odd seeing just how much money my business puts through their bank. Fire the grump and my rating will go to five star!
