“I have used Frey Automotive as one of two primary repair mechanic teams over the past four years. (Note that Colin & team took over management about that time, so any negative reviews from four years ago or earlier on here should be disregarded.)I have found their pricing to be fair and competitive, and their competence as mechanics to be superb. My current car has over 425,000 miles on the original engine and transmission, yet (as with any old car) is frequently offering "challenges" that his team of mechanics needs to surmount.During the majority of repairs over the past four years, it was done right the first time, and there was no need for return. In the rare instance when a repair was not quite right the first time around, they looked at it again, and got it running properly, pretty quickly.Recently, a weird sound was coming from the car, with it dropping power on turns. They said it was dangerous to drive, and though they were busy, took it in, found the problem, and solved it, saving me from what could have been a catastrophic highway situation.Colin - who heads up the team - does a LOT: takes the calls, sets up appointments, sees that people get rides back home if needed, test drives the cars, and does mechanical work with his team. I have found him to be personable, professional, and fair in all my interactions with him. Each person he has hired, that I have met over the past four years of interactions, has been skilled, talented, competent, and trustworthy.Almost any mechanic in New Jersey bills out at $100+ per hour for labor. At that rate - 2, 3, or 4 times what you or I earn - it is fair and reasonable to expect the job to be done right, and to leave driving a safe-to-drive car, each time a repair is done.That has been the case with this shop - and I look forward to continuing to challenge him and his mechanics, as we jointly see if we can get my car to the rare milestone of 500,000 miles on the original engine and original transmission.I highly recommend them, but note they have busy periods, so patience may sometimes be warranted. One final note - ChatGPT is still in learning mode, so I think it's pretty foolhardy in 2024 for anyone to rely on it for accurate detailed information in the automotive mechanic field, whether here or elsewhere. (Just a relevant personal opinion, folks.)”

“After getting a flat on my way to work and realizing my dealership sold me my car without the key for the lock nuts, I had to get my car towed to a local shop. The shop they towed me to was going to ROB me to get these lock nuts off. I called Dan’s and told him my situation and he quoted me at like a fifth of the price they were willing to do it at. When I got there the next morning Lori was so kind and attentive, Dan was extremely helpful when we ran into a hiccup trying to get the right lug nuts last minute, I can’t say enough about how great this shop is. I’m actually going to be moving out of Newton soon and the next time I run into car trouble I will be taking the trip here so I know it’s in good hands. Thank you!!!!”

“Xpress lube has been my go to place for oil changes, as well as a full service. They have been nothing but amazing. In the past year they have been the first and only people on multiple occasions that has been able to help me with car issues. I have taken my vehicle to the mechanics so many times and they have told me nothing is wrong with my car when their clearly was. They suggested oil changes (Like that would help, WHAT????!!!!) Well while getting my oil changed, Xpress Lube was able to easily look and tell me what was wrong with me car within minutes. Each time, they were right on the money. A massive oil leak in my car, a blown differential, and many more problems. They cared enough to take pictures of the problems for me and explain what I was looking at LOL... Sure enough I take my car back to the shop, tell them what was shown to me and OH MAGICALLY they were able to find the issue!!!! They are a company that care for their customers.But it doesn't stop there, they are fast, detailed, clean workers. Id highly suggest them to anyone!! They saved my car and saved me money!!!!Service: Oil change”
“Curtis was my salesman for a trade in and purchase of a 2024 Trax RS. He was thorough and walked me through the demo, test ride and financing. All went smooth and made it happen in two days. Would recommend Curtis and McGuire Chevy. BTW, took the Trax up and back to Cape Cod from NJ. 35 MPG, quiet ride and has good features without going overboard for features that jack the price of a car, SUV and or truck up.”

The long commute was well worth it because the staff there were phenomenal at helping to resolve a CarPlay technical issue! They, especially Anthony, were incredibly patient, professional and diligent with resolving the issue. They also were so kind!
