Used to come here a lot. Now it’s not worth it. Price keeps increasing but quantity remains the same. That’s a recipe for losing customers. Everyone is rebuilding so wishing them well.

This is my secret go-to place for made-to-order deli sandwiches in Newark. The place is located right around the corner from the Prudential Center. Krauszer's has a few locations across Newark, but this particular one is my favorite. Why? Because it's never busy and the workers are all very courteous. The main guy with the mustache (forgive me, I forget his name) greatly appreciates every customer, so I will always go out of my way to support businesses like these. I usually get their honey turkey spinach wraps--always fresh and very affordable! They don't have in-store seating, so it will be takeout at this location. **TIP: The made-to-order items come with a free bottle of water or a can of soda.

So clutch during the pandemic. Great for snacks and basic household goods. Just check the expiration dates before checking out...

06/30/2019 Stopped in this afternoon at location 494 Broad St. Newark, NJ. The employee sitting at lottery station had her head down on the phone. I looked around for a bit right in front of her. She looked up from her phone, looked at me, and continued on her phone. NO GREETING!! I remained for a few more seconds and then left without buying anything. Very unprofessional. Will not return to this location

Krauszer’s Food store in Maywood, NJ always has expired milk, which is what most people buy there. I have lived nearby for twenty years and it never changes. The store recently remodeled inside but it still smells. I blame the headquarters in Edison for a lack of oversight. There are other stores in this small company, one wonders how bad they are. If it wasn’t for lottery ticket sales, they would be gone.... Read More

I'm totally disgusted by this place. I was just there to buy chicken and buscuits. I'm literally standing there watching him. He dropped a biscuit on the floor, picked it up and put it right back on top of my food. He did it without even thinking...like it's his normal thing. And to think I've eaten there before...so have my coworkers at Prudential Insurance. I will definitely be telling everyone.

Great Falafel Burger! You can to add anything you want to it to spice it up. The fries are a plus! Never fried too hard. Plenty of napkins and utensils. They offer delivery!! Delivery is always quick & food is hot! :)

My boyfriend loves this place. I barely tolerate it. But alas, there are very few options in the neighborhood, especially for early morning or late night. It's clean, well lit, and well stocked. The coffee is strong and cheap. They have every NJ Lotto option under the sun. So why the low rating? The deli is the worsssttttt. They will never get your order right on the first try. Never. Like seriously, not once. If you take a chance and order more than one sandwich, one might be correct but i guarantee the other will not. They have a self-ordering kiosk a la Wawa and QuikCheck but everything is an upcharge. If you want anything more than meat on a plate be prepared to get nickel and dimed. They have a captive audience with Teacher's Village but dang, they could at least pretend to care.

Located around the corner from Prudential Center, this Krauszer's on Market Street opened a few months ago. It's relatively still new, but I think management has worked out most of the kinks of the operation at this point. It's a good Krauszer's - clean, not cramped, lots of stock in the fridge cases and on the shelves. The people in the store are nice, as well. The guys making sandwiches behind the counter do a good job, plus they recently started selling Krispy Krunchy Chicken. I haven't been disappointed any time I've ordered from the deli or gotten a 2-piece and a biscuit. If you are around the area and need to hit up a convenience store, this Krauszer's will do the job for you.
