PEOPLE BEWARE I took my dogs to Ironbound pet shop on 9-25-23 for cleaning of ears, teeth and nails I've done it many times before with other Animals and never had a problem but that day after picking up my dogs and walking home with them I noticed Baloo my male standard poodle was shaking he's head more then usual I understand that by cleaning their ears it would irritate them a little but Baloo kept shaking and shaking so the next day I checked his ears and WOW what horrible looking ears my poor Baloo had, just look at the pictures your self I couldn't believe what I was seeing so I called the place and spoke to the manager I explained what happened and he said come in the next day before 3pm and speak to the girls in the back who did the service on my dogs ok next day I come with my dogs around 2pm walk to the back and explain what happened look at my dogs ear they look infected how is that possible right after the service because right before I brought them to have service done they were fine the girls really didn't have much to say so Mark the owner came to the back and said that there's no way that my dogs ear got bloody and infected over service they did, I'm like excuse me when my dogs came in for service they didn't have that and didn't look bloody bad like it did plus Baloo wasn't shaking his ears like never before how can you explain that all I know is it seems he didn't want to help me with anything he didn't even had the courtesy to look at my dogs ear nothing didn't care I was speechless all I wanted was some advice, comfort for my dog at least anything to better the situation but nothing he just kept saying that he got that from somewhere else I couldn't believe what I was hearing PEOPLE BEWARE!!!!!!

Best place to go!! I have a 1y old Shitzu who is very scared of water and grooming in general. Since the first time a made very clear that he is very scared to the point that he doesn’t want to let go of me and start to shake. Everyone was very friendly, had patience and made me feel very comfortable on letting my baby there. Every time e go get my baby he is happy, chill, handsome and smell like a baby.Thank you to all the workers for their amazing service.

a small neighborhood pet store. they make you feel like your pet concerns matter. I bought a pair of finches a month ago. They have a few eggs in the nest today. That says a lot about how the pet store took great care of them. Big up! to the young owner doing the right thing I'm the community. Real talk!!!

Everyone is nice place is clean and well stocked. I only go for the fish but I do check out all of the animals. Cages are clean animals seem happy. People are in and out dropping off and picking up their dogs for grooming leaving with smiles. I have no complaints.

Buyer Beware. I went there to buy my first Bunny. I truly believed the employee Bruno was trying to be helpful gathering items I would need for my new pet. Aside from really trying to push that I spend more on a bigger cage that I am thankful now I didn't get, I thought he had been genuine. Now my problem arose when I got home & saw the bunny didn't want to drink from the water bottle, I was told I needed. The bunny would only drink from a bowl of water. I tried to exchange the bottle for more rabbit food and was told I couldn't because of a small cardboard flap that was missing from the packaging, and it couldn't be resold. I told Bruno I would have never purchased this bottle if he (the expert) had not told me it was needed, and Bruno shrugged his shoulders. I have no other animals and they have an entire store of them that could have used this bottle. So, for $6.99 Bruno chose to decline my credit and now I feel so offended that I waited 15-20 minutes of my lunch waiting for him to come back from break to say no to me that I no longer want to purchase anything from this store. So, if you need anything for your pet go somewhere where they won't give you a problem returning things that they suggested, and you really don't need. It's sad because the ladies that work there are lovely and I would have spent more money over time making future purchases but now I won't give them a cent more of my money.

Your one stop shop for pet supplies in Newark. The workers there are so accommodating when it comes to how I want my Pomeranians groomed. Very knowledgeable staff and the owner is great!! They always put adorable ties on the boys and a bow and the girls!!

The only place to go for your pet needs. Mark and his team are the best. My pup’s grooming is always perfect and I know he’s well taken care of as Mark treats all the pets as they were his own. Someone is always cleaning, feeding the animals and willing to assist when needed. Nice selection of fish, reptiles, birds, rabbits and other animals. Look no further.. this is the best pet shop around.

My family and I decided to buy a bunny rabbit. The staff was phenomenal. The sales woman was very patient with us and explain to us in detail what we need to do to take care of the bunny rabbit. My family and I were very happy with the service and the way they treated us. Highly recommend them for all of your pet needs.
