INEVER AGAIN. they screwed me up 2 timestabsolutely stunk. They dont wait on you for like 20 mims after you get there. There are people milling around on the office both times I was there waiting on cars. I had to wait an hour and a half to get my car as it was no available vehicles on the lot when I reserved my car a week ahead of time. There was no call for this. Second time same thing. I left and took uber to a competitor where I got a car immediately. FIX THIS.

This is a very good place for car rental to avoid the costs at the airport. The service is very fast and friendly. A great team is working there! I’ve got a very new Malibu! I will come again?

I rented a vehicle out of Newark airport for the a couple days that I was in town, unfortunately the vehicle got towed due to parking, I walked in the Newark branch where Joao took care of me, listening to my situation and assuring me he was going to take care of me, within 30 minutes he was able to give me a release and I was able to recover the vehicle in a hour total, I can’t thank Joao enough for taking care of me with respect and professionalism, this is the reason I’ll continue to use Hertz and recommend it to all my friends and family

This is a very good place for car rental. The place does not look great from outside, but don’t judge it by look. The service is very fast and they don’t force you to buy additional insurance or stuffs. It takes about 20 $ on Uber to get there from Newark airport.

The worst Hertz retal location, stay away from here!
I reserved a car for me to use on a business. When I got here they said they have a different car for me, which is not suitable for what I intended for, I think these guys doesn't understand the meaning of the word reservation.

the staff was incredibly rude and showed no respect whatsoever. It started with the desk person, “J,” who was dismissive and unhelpful. When I asked to speak with the manager, “B,” the situation only worsened. Both J and B refused to accept my digital card for the reservation, despite the fact that my reservation clearly stated it was accepted. To make matters worse, they threatened to refuse to rent me a car if I dared to provide a negative review. This kind of unprofessional and hostile behavior is unacceptable and has ensured that I will never use Hertz Newark again.

I got a rental from this location that the insurance paid for and guys they have a scheme going on in this office! Brian will tell you one thing about the “deposit” and then try to keep your money! Trust me guys go somewhere else! It’s not worth the headache!!!

First time, last time. Had a 10 day rental as a Hertz Gold member and didn't get so much as a phone call to say we are closing at 5 pm (the sign on the door said 6 pm). Fortunately, a very kind woman exec at the Car Repair business in the same building gave us a ride to Newark Airport where we rented from AVIS.

WORST SERVICE EVER give it 1 star and is too much already ? the brasilian guy that works there JOAO or JUAN tall curly hair punk is the most rude person I had to deal with ,was not helpful when asked questions and the little he said i had the feeling i was bothering him, he has no CLUE on how to treat costumers I will be writing an email to heartz corporate to make sure they fire this idiot will never go back to the FERRY ST NEWARK location if I ever use HERTZ at all worst experience at a car rental.

Have used this location multiple times. The staff and manager are super friendly. Very helpful in any questions I have. The cars are always clean and prepped for my journey.
