Clutter is keeping my items and charging me for not being able to deliver them. My entire home is in storage and they want me to sleep on the floor for 3 weeks because they aren't able to fit a delivery in OR allow me to go get my items. They're holding them and not allowing me to come get my own belongings for 3 weeks. I will be in a home with nothing to cook and nothing to sleep on because of this company. When I cried on the phone call that I'll be forced to pay and not get my items for 21 days the customer service person hung up on me.

DO NOT USE CLUTTER FOR YOUR MOVE!!!!! I really really hope you pick someone else for your moving needs!!! We did the full service package, highest one you can do for an out of state move.. and let me just preface this by saying we've moved over 12x in the last 9 years... and never have we experienced what we experienced with this company! And I never write reviews!!! It was that terrible that I'm sitting here writing this... First, we upload all the necessary photos and videos, account for all the items we have etc. fully prepared. I call in 3x before the move to ensure we would only need 1 truck and 3 movers because for a 6 bedroom house that sounded odd to me. Especially because we were having them pack and move it. But time and time again they said that's all they would need and it would be done in 1 day. But again, I kept asking to confirm because as I mentioned, we were moving out of state and had to leave by the end of the day. Again, they reassured me it would be done. Day of the move (day 1 haha) the workers show up late. At 8am. Tell me they're going to "try to get it done".... "Try".... After I already made it clear it needed to be done in 1 day. So they work for 3 hours. Then take a two hour lunch. Of which they logged an hour after it started. Saying they were only gone for an hour. When they come back 3 other guys come to help and then by 2pm they say they all have to leave. State law..... I'm not even kidding...... 2pm. 2pm. We were shocked! Absolutely shocked. And btw I was helping them pack all day. Even though we paid an arm and a leg for them to do that service. So I end up having to stay and call out of work the next day, to help pack again. And then they tell me they're charging us for another day of labor . When they stopped working at 2. And again took an hour and 45 minute lunch again. But the dispatcher said their lunch time didn't matter that day because "they would get the job done for sure". So why didn't they get the job done the first day??? How are they all the sudden allowed to go over timing now???? Then! They tell me they're going to need a 3rd truck!!!! And it would be an additional $3k on top of $16,000!!!!!! For a move that was 3 hours driving distance!!!!! But the best part.... All my stuff fit in 2 trucks..... and they told me they would need a 3rd to cross state lines.. even though it was completely empty!!!! Not one shoelace even in there!!!! I had to call clutter over 8 times !!!!! This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had in my entire life!!!! And guess what?! When they arrived, no 3rd truck!!!!! So I took videos and photos and CALLED AGAIN and they said they'd take off the charge for the 3rd truck! WHAT?!?!?! Why were you charging us for a 3rd truck?!?!! Not to mention they broke multiple things of ours! This was an indescribable experience.... I truly cannot even begin to understand how this company still operates. The movers even said the company is horrible! Because the management and people in the office don't handle appt's, estimates etc correctly! They said this happens all the time!!!So of course I call to explain this entire experience hoping I would be compensated for this horrific experience. Nope. Some idiot lady spends 3+ weeks "reviewing my file" which was pages upon pages by the end of it and she just emailed me on Tuesday to say they will compensate me $300 for the workers taking a longer lunch!! Hahahahaha! What?!?!? And that she refunded my $3k for the 3rd truck... LADY, that's not doing me a favor! We didn't use the 3rd truck!!!! You owe me that money!!! So we ended up paying over $16,000 on this move!!!!! And got $300 for the lunch violation. LOL!!!!! This has got to be the biggest joke of my entire life. So please, please, If you're looking for a moving company, DO NOT use clutter!!!! It was the worst experience of our life!!!! Horrible customer service, horrible company!!! They will stretch out the move to make you pay for an add

We needed to move my son out of an apartment at the very last minute and we were all out of town and unable to get back to the city to do the move ourselves. In a panic I called Clutter. The customer service by phone was outstanding! The person helping me addressed all of my concerns and helped me schedule our move one day later, avoiding all sorts of apartment hassles and fees. The movers were quick, careful and courteous. They did a small amount of packing, worked with my son to ensure they were gathering the right items and were in and out in about 90 minutes. Also, the fees were extremely reasonable. This is the perfect solution for a college apartment or dorm move, in particular. I will never try to move my kids on my own again!

TL;DR -- company missed two (2) appointment windows with no communication on their end. All driven by me to find out what was (more like wasn't) happening. Offered me $25 for the trouble and to "file a claim". And then when I cancelled, they insisted that the $200 fee was justified. Avoid these clowns at all cost. Maybe their teams are good? Maybe not? But if their policies and their customer experience is anything to go by, I wouldn't take the risk. I'd rather, and am, happily paying more to get this done professionally. To whatever manager from Clutter that will inevitably read this --- do better.Full Story Below:I had such high hopes for Clutter but today's experience is an absolute joke.I had booked my storage for today and my appointment window was between 9am and 12pm. As part of their process, they say that you'll get an automated text where you can track the team's ETA to your location.Sounds cool. And this morning, I checked my phone and, sure enough, there was a text with a link to a little map with my address and the arrival window between 1pm and 2pm. What...?But, to make it even more confusing, the little blurb says: "Your team is ahead of schedule. Don't worry, they will wait until your original arrival window opens if you're not ready for us." But... the time is after my window. How can they be "ahead of schedule"???I was super confused so I gave it some time in case it needed to settle (start of the day and everything) but around 9am I was getting a little nervous that the status wasn't updating at all. No little truck making its way through NJ or Manhattan to get to me... just the same confusing message. So I contacted their support. They discourage calls (48 business hour response time?!?!?!) and instead say the quickest response is via their outsourced chat agents. Fine. I've worked in CSAT and QA, and this is just their choice. The agent was very reassuring and said that the time I was seeing was just an estimate and that the team was going to be there during the original window as scheduled. Well... I had booked the building's service elevator, arranged my work schedule, as well as shutting down utilities and cleaning services expecting the time line to hold. Was she sure? Yes. I had nothing to worry about.Stupid me. I didn't worry. I carried on doing last minute packing and whatnot. I got several texts around 10am which said that they're sending me a new team! Yay! Finally, someone will be coming directly to me. The agent was right. This was almost immediately followed by another text saying they're sending... another team new team (??) and we're now back at the between 1pm and 2pm window. What is happening...?So I contact support a second time. Insisting on knowing where the team is because now we're pushing past 12pm and clearly not going to make the original window. The service elevator reservation has expired and I'm realizing that I might have to miss work obligations. A new arrival window was given to me of between 1230pm and 330pm because the team ran into some unexpected delays. Okay, that's fine, but why am I the one pushing the company to tell me what's happening? No communication or actual updates unless I was the one making them happen. And they missed their commitment to arrive within the window. For my trouble, the agent offered me $25 and that I should file a claim. Very disappointing.A couple more "we're sending you a new team!" messages that kept extending the time window (at this point I know the game and I don't even care at this point) and it's now close to 3pm and we're clearly not making even the second window they committed to reaching me. I finally have had enough, call them to cancel because this is ridiculous and I need to scramble to find alternative options given this company can't do what it says it will. And the support agent says that they will charge me the $200 and it will be valid. Nope. Absolutely not. Go ahea

Never hire Clutter.I recently used them for a move. They were extremely shoddy packing and loading, and did $2K+ of damage to my furniture (broken lamps, snapped furniture legs, ruined upholstery, etc.).To make a bad experience worse, they have a terrible claims process where everything was disputed or denied despite their gross negligence that caused severe damage.

[Update: Pay no mind to Clutter's reply below. I've already been dealing with their Trust & Safety team, to no avail.]Avoid. Clutter "lost" an expensive antique rug, assures me they did a thorough search but refuses to provide any documentation to prove it, and offers an insulting pittance for my loss.

I stored about 10 items. A couch is completely broken (the back and the seat are completely detached.) A mattress went missing and until now they couldn't locate the item. Charged a crazily high delivery fee to check out items which at the beginning they promised there is no the delivery fee.Now the couch is broken ($799), and I filed a claim. Results: They are only willing to compensate for $120. What a disrespectful number! I payed the storage so that they can do anything they want with my items? Did they fold my couch on purpose to save space? Disgusting! The customer service is terrible too - hard to reach their representatives, and their representatives will only dodge your concerns by routinely redirecting you back to their websites. Completely useless.Totally not recommend this company. The moment that you place items in their storage, too bad, every second you'll have to worry if your stuff remains intact or even if it is still in the storage.Advise for people who have items in Clutter: You unfortunately have to assume things are missing or broken, in my case the 2 most valuable items. Think twice before paying your delivery fee.

TOTAL SCAM. Do not use this service. On the day of move in, i had only ONE MOVER for $155/hr + $469 for 43 boxes. I called Clutter saying that more than one mover is needed, but they ignored. During move-out, two movers were packing the kitchen for 4 hours, during which I finished packing for my bedroom, bathroom, and living room. When I started opening the boxes, the way they packaged my items were in terrible conditions below are the photos to prove how much the entire service costs. All costs combined including move- in + move-out + one month storage, it was roughly $2600 (i did not have any furnitures btw).My boyfriend used Piece Of Cake moving and storage after I mentioned about my experience, and he did his entire move without storage for roughly $900 (he had large furnitures).
