I’ve honestly told many people avoid shopping at this establishment especially if you’re a person of color. They follow you around the store and have been price gouging for YEARS!!! The cashiers are slow as snails and barely anyone speaks English. For any locals just place free online orders to Amazon or Walmart for true quality.

It's a shame I recently moved close to Food Fair & was hoping to patronize this store. I've discovered that the negative reviews left do bear out in reality. Surprised that 4,5,8yr. Old negative reviews still bear an oder of truth. Dumbfounded why management hasn't addressed some of the customers concerns & complaints. I make an extra effort to find somewhere else that hasn't ignored or are incapable to resolve issues. For quick 2,3 item last minute necessities I wouldn't mind there unresolved issues or there prices. Sorry but those are the fact . Someone show me different.......

My experience at Food Fair, I thought I was on the streets of Amsterdam buying gold and expensive watches. I almost fainted at the prices of their items. They took away the little I had with me. I ran out of breath and let's see if we can pray for it. May Christ come soon and not delay his coming because these are going to dig with the population if we don't have to fast 3 times a week. How do you see it?

I want to make a complain about one of the cashier girls that work at food fair her name is Ileana she was very nasty and disrespectful to me today went I went to buy a few stuff . I was talking to her asking her a question and she ignore. I spoke with the manager and the way she talk to me it was like she didn’t care also the prices are to high in this supermarket.

Want to experience racism? Just walk through this grocery store…. You’re better off taking your money to Walmart or Aldi. I walked right out the store after only being in the store for 5 minutes. The workers follow you around the store pretending to fix items on the shelves that doesn’t need fixing. The store is over stocked with expired over priced items. The store is predominantly Hispanic and non of the workers speak English. They definitely know how to make current people feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. ZERO STAR

A few complaints about this location- 1. The food is way overpriced compared to other supermarkets in Newark. 2. Time after time there are some expired items on the shelves and you especially have to watch the expiration date on meat. 3. PLEASE hirebilingual people. While I do not mind translating for English speaking customers, it is frustrating. Also please remind employees not to text while checking out customers. It is rude and can prompt errors.

Food Fair has a wide variety of Spanish foods and beverages and the selection overall is decent. Unfortunately the prices here are high and it’s hard to get help here the employees either don’t understand English or don’t know where something is. The store is clean and there is parking but I wouldn’t recommend doing a major shopping here given the price but if you need some Spanish food or some quick this is a good spot.

Store has variety of items to shop but price is on higher side. It’s okay to shop there as local in case of urgency for some items like milk, vegetables, meat etc.
