Worst experience in my life as I travel across the country for work weekly. I am currently staying at this property. I have been here for 3 days and have not received any housekeeping. I complained about it this morning and was told I have to request it 24 hours in advance and there was nothing that could be done.I have never stayed in a hotel and have to request housekeeping. I would totally understand if it was posted or there was a notice in my room or if I was told at check-in but I wasn't.The front desk was rude and had zero compassion towards my request.Rooms: Not the cleanest will not be staying here anymore and will be filing a complaint with the BBB

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! My vehicle was stolen directly in front on the hotel in the provided parking spaces. The gate to access the parking lot was hit or miss. Why are the gates there if they are used during the day but a free for all at night which is why I think night staff is involved.

Review for hotel and Gateway City Kitchen.Ah, the lovely sounds of the people in the room next to you pooping. Pool is closed too. Wish we knew that beforehand.Biggest issue is Gateway City Kitchen. You will get food faster if you leave and go to an offsite restaurant.Wife, daughter, and I sat down at 6:30. There were only four tables with customers sitting down and a few people at the bar. It took 15 mins for someone to even come to the table. Another 10 before we were able to put an order in for drinks and a pizzas We got our drinks, and the never saw the waitress again. At 7:20, i finally had to cave and deal with food (snacks) for my daughter in the room. My wife waited for the pizza so we could take it to the room instead. At 7:30, the waitress came to table with the check and just walked away. No pizza. Wife just gave up.Countless couples sat down during this time, no one checked on them and they all just walked out. Now very hungry I came down a half hour later just to get a salad instead. About half the dinning room was full, so not a lot of people. Roughly 10 mins of me sitting at the bar before I was even treated like I existed. Person after person coming up from the dinning area asking were their food was, others who didn’t order anything just giving up and leaving, some standing at the booth and waiting to be seated for ten minutes. Took 36 minutes for my Caeser Salad to come out. A $16 Caesar Salad that is.I started this at 6:30 and with only a half hour break to take care of my child, I wasn’t back to my room until 9:30.

My vehicle was stolen from the parking lot and the staff was not cooperative. Our entire vehicle magically disappeared and the staff didn’t review the video footage to try to help us figure what happened or the culprits responsible. I strongly believe it was an inside job and I will never stay here again!

United put us up here for a night after our flight was cancelled on the 16/2/24 after being delayed for 7hrs.We waited 1hr 15mins for a transfer from the airport to the hotel at 2.15am (They should arrive every 30mins). Rang reception 4 times only to be told it was 5mins away on each phone call. When we finally arrived at the hotel we were told we would have to wait a further hour and half to check in as their system resets every morning at 3:30am-5. We finally got access to our room at 5:30am and we told check out was at noon and could not be extended, despite not being able to check in and sitting in the foyer from 4:15am.The man at reception that night who checked us into room 825 was incredibly rude and was severely lacking in customer service skills. When I asked for his name he refused to provide it (no name badge on his uniform). I have stayed in hundreds of hotels across 6 continents and I can genuinely say this was the worse service I have ever seen.Only on discussion with Michelle at midday did she kindly extended our stay to 3pm in the morning. Andres was lovely in the restaurant

The drive here was ROUGH. Honestly it crossed my mind if my Uber driver was driving me out to get rid of me. When we got our room - the heater didn't work. It's February in NJ. They moved us to another room. At the restaurant my wife had to send her food back three times because they kept getting the order wrong. We get settled into the new room but the toilet doesn't stop running and ends up overflowing all over the floor and we had to use towels as a barrier to the carpet. Engineering took time to come and fix it, luckily, I turned off the water to the toilet. Housekeeping had to be called twice to get someone to clean up the water. Then our neighbors left and kept the TV on loud. Called security, nothing they could do. Then they returned and it got louder. Called security who told them to keep it down and then proceeded to give us ear plugs for the future. After everything, this was the action that sealed this review. Upon leaving it took several minutes for the exit gate to open after submitting our ticket to get out.

The room was good, very comfortable. Because this was a quick trip, with early flights, we needed to stay close to the airport. So the location was great for that. It was also very easy to Uber into the city. What absolutely impressed me was the service of every single employee spoke with. These amazing people couldn't have been more helpful for every question I had. I can't say enough about the management and staff. Kudos to all.

I love this Doubletree. The people who work here are fantastic. My check-in was smooth. I usually capture names, and this time, I didn't. I'm sorry, Hilton! Just know all the people who worked from February 8, 2024 to February 12th were awesome. The manager, who was on Thursday evening to the manager who was there on Fri and Saturday mornings. They exhibited joy and were gracious hosts. I ate at the restaurant Thursday night, and it was an experience. The bartender made great drinks. But, it was the chef's special that was a gem. Oxtail and mushroom risotto? On a hotel menu? I know you cannot do it often (costs), but kudos to the restaurant manager for trusting the chef with this dish and putting it on as the special. It was fantastic and you let the chef know I am going to attempt to recreate it. Overall, my stay was comfortable and relaxing for all of the running around I was doing. It's absolutely convenient to the airport, especially when I want to sleep in before heading out. Thank you for your hospitality.

Corporate party was held here. Food was good and we all had a nice time.My only complaint why was the dessert table set up behind the Dj? And the coffee station was on the opposite side of the room? That was dumb, and dangerous walking over the DJ’s wires to get a dessert ??Also parking stinks! No valet? I parked way in the back and had to walk in heels to the front entrance! Then pay $18 , for parking!Getting here is tricky if you blink you can miss your turn . The roads getting here are not well lit.Food & drinks: The food was delicious. Bartender was pleasant, maître, D was very helpful especially when the room was to warm! He quickly put on the AC to get the room comfortable

I was quite satisfied with the hotel itself. I not quite sure the balcony doors are bolted shut though. The shuttle to the airport was a disaster. I was first in line to get on the the bus but had large bags and everyone pushed passed me and was the last to get on. Once on the bus, it got a flat tire in the parking lot and they rransfered everyone to a van and I was not able to board this van. I waited for over an hour and ended up calling an uber so as to not miss my flight .An update since my return flight landed. I waited at the p4 air train station for over an hour in the rain waiting for the shuttle back to my car. This was the worst park and fly experience I have ever had at Newark. I do this every 8 weeks. Avoid this place at all costs

I was looking for a hotel near the airport for my last night. As usual even the doubletree hotels need a little bit of an overhaul. Everything seems a little worn out. It was fine for a night but i wouldn't go there to have a nice time. The cookies are nice
