Called about a potential transmission problem and within minutes they probed me about how the car was acting and with a personal touch said they would be happy to diagnose the problem. “Alex is the most professional auto repair shop owner I’ve ever worked with. I heard a noise in my car so I dropped it off for him to look at it. He drove me home, diagnosed the car and told me exactly what was wrong. He is backed up with work and I need the car sooner, so he even facilitated my brining the car to another auto repair shop. He did all this knowing he wasn’t going to get the business. I feel bad because he’s a great guy, but you can be sure I will be using him going forward for all my automotive needs.”

“TRM Transmissions is an old-school, full-service automotive repair shop that has been performing scheduled maintenance and major repairs for vehicles in Morristown since 1983. If you expect an espresso or cappuccino and freshly-baked pastries in the waiting room when you bring your car in for service, let's agree that TRM Transmissions probably isn't for you. On the other hand, if you expect your car repaired by friendly, knowledgeable, and pragmatic folks in a no-frills environment without spending a small fortune, then TRM Transmissions in Morristown is the place for you. Unlike most dealerships' service departments, with service advisors pushing expensive periodic maintenance and throwing costly parts at issues rather than considering the root cause of the problem, Gino and his team are old-school mechanics who may seem to be a little rough around the edges to some, but are very passionate about their work and provide high-quality service at a reasonable price.Now that the extended warranty on my car has expired, I don't have to take it back to the dealership for routine maintenance and major repairs and I have the opportunity to try some other repair shops in the area. When my SUV and my sportscar required some unanticipated repairs this summer, both dealerships threw me a long list of items they said were required to be replaced to repair the issues and quoted me an obscene amount .. along with a caveat that it could wind up being even more expensive once they started to do the work. Gino quoted me much lower estimates for a more concise list of parts and labor to address all of the issues.. and then overdelivered on his promises by getting the work done ahead of schedule and at a lower cost than he'd originally estimated. I'm really glad to have an auto repair shop with friendly, knowledgeable, and pragmatic folks in town and I'll definitely use TRM for any minor maintenance or major repairs in the future.”

“I recently found these guys I had broken down on route 22 and these guys walked out on the highway and assisted me in getting my vehicle back to there shop.The place was clean and welcoming and they assessed my vehicle and gave me a fair estimate. When I came to pick up the car he didn’t try to “add” anything extra. He topped all my fluids and even filled my tires with air.I would refer these guys in a heart beat!”

“Great service. Both times I had car troubles: an almost flat tire and not being able to get a screw out of my old license plate to replace it with new ones. I called last minute (around 5pm, they close at 6pm) on both occasions. I was told I could come anyway and they can take a look at my car. Fixed the flat tire in less than 20 minutes… there were no future issues :). As for the license plate screw situation, I went there and they got the screw out and changed both my front and back license plates… did not even charge me. This is how you know this is a good business that cares about its customers and reputation. For all future inspections and/or issues I will be coming here. I suggest you do too!”
